I agree that this performance from 2006 was probably the best one that I have heard. Faithful to Bill Monroe's, but perfectly recorded. I was fortunate enough to have recorded that whole evening on the Opry on TV, and I still watch it on video sometimes. If you like this, you should get the 2011 Skaggs Family Christmas II CD. It comes with a whole non-Opry concert DVD for free, from the Ryman of the Skaggs family, including this song.
