Shinnok's ending stated, that with Daegon's consent, he sent a clone of himself to aid Daegon during the quest. So the real Shinnok then invited Sheeva, Havik, Kintaro and Li Mei to his spire and asked them to memorize lines like they were starring in a play by the time Taven shows up, Shinnok has left the are but the clone remains present so when Taven bows down to who he thinks is 'Lord Shinnok' he's bowing to the soulless ghost.

Not exactly. If you are trying to say that the Shinnok we see in these cutscenes is a fake then you are mistaken. I agree with everything else. The one here is the real one that cannot escape the Netherrealm. The one fighting at the pyramid is his clone/doppelganger (like you mentioned) that is less powerful and is supposed to aid Daegon.

Online sources say that this seen contained ghosts and soulless replicas of the other kombatants like Li Mei making it unclear if they're the real kombatants or not. It's the real Li Mei. It's the real Havik Kintaro and Sheeva too.

The only ghost in this scenario who isn't who he seems is Shinnok himself.

Not necessarily. You can earn koins from the minigames too. Konquest is just the quickest way to unlock everything.

Konquest IS the story mode. The real main fighting mode what all fighting games are about is called arcade.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure if you can just BUY characters like Taven, Daegon and Blaze that are locked at the start of Armageddon. There's also the Elder God armor pieces for KAK that you might have to just collect from Konquest.

Actually, you can't buy Taven, Daegon, or Blaze at the start of the game. U have 2 beat the whole Konquest game in order 2 unlock those characters.

There IS one spot in The Krypt called "????" in which you can enter kodes to unlock everyone. I didn't use it, but it can useful if you just give up, kind of like I did on it. About 4 months ago. I just recently beat it.

Taven must have been put to sleep a really LONG time back if isn't aware of Shinnok's fall. In Shinnok's ending in MK4 he said he was trapped in the Neatherrelm for millions of years.
