I was the orphan in my school's version...did they practice a lot? We did from 2:55 pm to 4:30 mon. tue. thurs. and fri. IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

at my school they did the musical, i was only crew but cast rehearsed from 2:20-5:00 every day, and one day they practiced from 12:00-9:00(pm)!

I never did like that "Curly top wig" thing. I like it much better when they leave it out like they did in the UK tour (see Lucy May Barkers videos on here to see what I mean). That Wig just looks "too" over the top and old fashioned.

Ha, THose are not headset mics. THEy are lav mics that usually clip to a shirt. They are taped with scotch tape to the face. They are only sending. They do not receive like a headset can.

It wasn't my equipment but it was wireless seinhouser evolution lavs. They had about 10 of them for different people.

I tapped into the sound board pluss had a ME66 Boom mike on my camera.

Hope that helps and yes those mikes make it so much easier for the kids to sing.
