With lag in eve if you leave guns on auto repeat they will fire once and never fire again. You have to set them on auto-off then spam stop firing till it clears and you can fire again.

I don't think he doomsdayed. He cynoed in, one of our hactors immediately warped to his cyno (accidently mind you) and tackled him. He then logged out. Then a minute later he logged back in when he was told he was aggressed and tackled and he was almost instantly dead because we already had a dread fleet in the system seiging some other POS.

It can be very daunting, as a new player. I quit WoW for EVE Online over a year ago.

Best thing for a new player: Go through the tutorials, your starter NPC corp should have experienced players to help you along. If it's still overwhelming, pick something about it that you like (For me it was the explosions) and just go with it for that one reason, and you'll eventually click into it.

Extremely rewarding at times. Extremely boring other times. Most of the players in this fight have been around long enough to have the money and pilot skills to fly ships 50-100x the size of your rookie ship.

I started on the absolute bare minimum needed PC and still managed to snag fights when I could.

You can get your feet wet with Faction Warfare to learn some of the basics. Then decide what you want to do from there.

This game is fuckin' DEEP. And shit tons of fun \o/

the lag is fixed.... in jita and 0.0 hotspots. hence all the titan poping videos on here are perfect fps with like 400 people on screen going crazy at once. now if your not in one of those areas, 1fps is lucky many times.... like in all the Faction War Zones....

Eve puts a very heavy load on your GPU. I used to get 1 fps in fleet fights untill i upgraded. Now I can get at a minimum 50 fps in the heaviest of fighting with all effects on and graphics at maximum. CCP fixed lag, but they cant fix your computer
