  • shit, rza is brilliant.

  • haha "i dont make a record for a quick bite and then its over na man this is nutritious right here" hip hop wouldnt be the same without RZA

  • RZA always makes sense.

  • 56 seconds in, and i must stop watching it, tim westwood makes me feel sick in my stomach . .

  • i had to watch it . . rza is for true the second best motivational speaker after mr.T

  • i'd love 2 see RZA sock westwood in his fukin face! wu-tang bum rush that shitty radio1 studio an rock that shit. fuck westwood, fuck london, WU TANG 4 LIFE SON!

  • rza is the shit but that new shit wit david banner was wac

  • Real Muthaphucka

Rap cant die, Cause Wu-tang is forever.

  • i'm a master producer homie...

  • What kind of friendship should be presented as good because you don't you deal with issues. What a wack fool.

  • RZA is a boss

  • all good Rza

  • the man

HUGE respect for how rza played that interview.

held his ground, without disrespecting the other party.

Like, 1% of people on earth are capable of that, and its the highest virtue.

  • rza is a very strict boy..but he is one of the best producers

  • there is black people in england you know?

  • east london here

  • yeah, there are two sides to the story..but i think that rza sums it up.....he is a badass producer. I actually think 8 diagrams is a good album...maybe in a few years time other people will appreciate it a lot more.

  • he produced some of the kill bill soundtrack. versatile or what

  • this is a tough one I feel both point of views...

  • na westwood is sik bruv shat up

  • raekwon you dukakakakakakakkaka hahahahhahahha buhhhahahaaaa

  • lmao BOOM

  • An intelligent, intellectual , brother. . . .

    good post!

  • Rza = legend.

Westwoodd = twat! grow up mate, stop talking like a 15 year old kid!

  • You wren't here four days ago dawwg! you gotta love it westwood is so hood, hahahahaha

  • TOP PRODUCER!

  • He's in the hip-hop game, if he was in the rock game, he would talk different, come on man, you really want some guy with long hair going, radical man, narlie! to some rap song? Pfft, as long as he doesnt go O.T.T i dont care, listen to the interview-ee, and not only the interview-er.

  • you understandin me tim... lmfao..

  • this is real talk

  • REAL TALK! RZA has been my favorite rapper from since GRAVEDIGGAZ to Bobby DIGITALpart2, Ah man the days i use to grab a ice cold 40 and a spliff with my boombox to listen to the GOD kick knowledge. In the hood i was admired for my unusual preference of Rza as by favorite hip-hop artist

  • I understand RZA's point. he's a dude that's trying to grow as an artist and these dude's wanna do the same thing all the time. I see it. But i also get Rae's point as well.

  • yo were radio one and one 1 xtra

  • Rza is the truth

  • How can you not like this nigga? He needs to do more movies. This cat has a swagger about him that is cool. I can see blowing some tree's with rza and just talking about rap. This nigga seem real.

  • i have met RZA and rapped with him on stage he is an open minded relaxed guy trust...

  • im a big fan of rza and raekwon but i can see what raekwon was asking for, to keep it grimey and hard like the 36 chambers and forever, instead rza produced iron flag and the other new relaeases which were all rubbish pussy sounding and sale flops, Every post i see online is fans wanting that rough sound back, thats what made wu tang thats what wu tang are, wu tang sold out, i hate to say that because im a huge fan of there old material. I think rza should have taken raekwons direction on this

  • dukadukadukadukadukaduka boom!!

    lol.

  • diss isn't an interviewrza is preaching da truth and knowledge

  • "i'm a master producer homie....ya know what i'm saying...." i love that part....rza is the best!

  • TIM WESTWOOD!!!

RZA is wise. Raekwon needs to open his mind maybe. Wu Tang are definately the greatest MCs of all time.

  • Now that the album came out and flopped, Is it safe 2 say RZA is Buggin!!

  • He isn't bugging, he just way ahead of people...

The album flopped because there was no promotion...

...BET, MTV, and radio don't play WU-Tang. Any album with NO promotion will flop. The radio and music stations are bugging!!

  • Dudes Raised The Level Of Awareness Of Hip-Hop In This Country

    he got people places

he just needs to not talk

  • yeah i probably spoke too soon, if he plays good music i'm down. i just don't like the way he led this interview. seemed like he was just trying to make rza talk shit about rae.

  • wu is for life

  • master of equality....knowledge,wisdom,understanding

  • Nah I aint feelin Rza on this. Wu Tang may be world wide but their from the streets and the streets was what 36 Chambers and Forever was all about. I aint be feelin much from 'Bobby Digital' at all.

  • Rza is the coolest dude ever!!!

  • lol

  • Is it just me, but does Rza look like Marvin Gaye, just slightly?

  • hes on another level... so dam cool lol

  • Rza's heavy. I always admired how he presented himself, very intelligent and inspirational guy. He knows what he's talking about and can articulate it. Loved Wu Tang since '93/94, I'm thirty this year, do the math

  • When did wisdom become not "cool"?

  • "..only me and Tim can see, but we are understanding each other, right? Are we understanding each other Tim?"

  • Knowledge is Power. RZA makes wisdom cool

  • rza one inteligant guy just listen to him talk demoand respecy

    ITS BOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYYYY

and westwood sounded liking a idoit

  • RZA is on point here. His rhymes and beats are the positive things on 8 diagrams and it's a shame Raekwon is too close-minded to let RZA do what he wants artistically. Raekwon can rap what he wants about. Rza can make the music he wants. RZA really said it saying how they aren't making an album just for TODAY. Raekwon obviously has made stabs at going mainstream. He is just the average rapper. Anybody who has met him knows he can be a real drama queen jerk.

  • Raekwon an average rapper? Shut up you clueless tool.

  • There isn't a average rapper in wu. The weakest member of wu would be the strongest member of any other. they come through with the 9 diagrams.

  • Yo kno wa I mean ?! :))

  • lol..but its more like "nah mean?!?"

  • i agree with Kenc85,followed wu since 91 and dont like all the rows-in-camp talk

    wu tang forever!

  • "HAVE SELF-CONTROL... PATIENCE!!"

  • RZA is a true MC/PRODUCER/HIP HOP GOD

  • I think catz gotta embrace the album better. When the Wu came out, no one else sounded like them until after they got known. Now that they inspired thousands of acts, you gotta switch up your style; even update it. Anyone who is a real Wu fan will rock it.

  • Rza is the man!

  • I would've preferred the album came w/ more songs like 'Heaterz' or 'Put Your Hammer Down' or even the St Ides Commercial where there is more group participation.

  • 8 diagrams is not that bad meth raekwon and u-god shine on it

  • i personelly felt that some songs were filled wit generic gun talk and what not that didnt fit the vision of the album.

  • Whats with the arrogance? I just hope the love is still there in the Wu camp man, hip hop can't afford to lose such an influential group right now.

  • RZA is right but he's arrogant.

  • RZA is a Master

  • rza is right. wu tang has become a universal group. rae has never made any effort to appeal to anyone outside new york (or the u.s.a). his slang & the content etc. if rae wants his mafioso style and hood muzik, then he can do that solo...

but with the wu-tang clan, he should understand that the universal (different) appeal has to occur.

  • What exactly is appealing about it? Wu Tang made their name from raw street rap. That is what people know them ass and what they love.

If their gonna change their soiund.... ok sure, but if its shit its shit. All this stuff about it taking a while to 'get used too' is crap.

Got mad respect for Rza's past production skills but aint feelin it at all lately.

  • don't you feel obligated to give rza the benefit if the doubt here? i mean its not like he just started sucking out of nowhere his shit is still good

  • new cd is sick-fuk wat ya all think

  • wise man talking. gotta agree ugod stood out on this one compared to other wu albums. 8 diagrams is an aquired taste. you need to get high and listen to it a couple time before it kicks in.

  • its all a matter of opinion. fact of the matter is 8 diagrams is masterful, lots if you dont understand what lies beneath. when you take a deeper look you will become enlightened.

  • People call it mediocre, people call it terrible or overrated...but what's wrong with using instruments? The lyrical content is not on top but the production is top notch. This Wu album isn't for everyone who bought Enter the 36 Chambers or Wu-Tang Forever, this is for a new generation of hip-hop/Wu-Tang fans...like RZA says in this video, all these kids are just getting this shit years after Wu-Tang dropped...it's definitely for a world appeal.

  • wikid

  • 8 diagrams was a best mediocre

  • you chilled with a dick in your mouth

  • man im the biggest wu fan in the world. i have chilled with the gza, had breakfast with the kid, chilled with masta killa, trife, killah preist, basically no homo, i love the dudes. but im going to be honest. 8 diagrams is not good. method man and raekwon are the only ones who come on time. some of the other members lines like deck and masta are laughable. track 1,4,6,12,13 are the only decent tracks. all the others are sub wu. if your a wu fan your lying to yourself if you feel it

  • It's hard to see The RZA as dishonest

  • ya know what i mean.

  • son

  • From the hill to the harbor.

  • rza's a straight g. theres a reason why hes the front man and not Kwon

  • Maybe he should have listened to Rae cause the album is whack! aheh nah all this childish argueing is stupid. I respect RZA he got self control. That's something a lot of other rappers can learn about.

  • wu-tang stopped doing good beats or that style known by all

meanwhile wu-fam continues making what your father wu-tang-clan stopped doing

    i think that

up to now I'm trying to understand because dom pachino stopped doing those music with those only beats of war

now it is different, I know that some thing is different

peace and sorry for my english

  • Great fucking album! those who don't like and critisize don't understand it, open your ears and minds, this album like the RZA said is nutricious. why would people want another "36 chambers", don't get me wrong i love 36 chambers, but the Wu-tang clan would be boring if every one of their albums sounded the same. 50 cent makes the same album over and over, real artists grow and progress. bong bong

  • love ya rza

    love ya raekwon

    fuck 8 diagrams

    fuck cell phones

  • strait G

  • indexxonara motherfucker do you really think you could diss the one and only fucking reakwon??...

do you think that the rza says something because they argue?... Nikker you think he has money problems? What the fuck is going on in your fucking head son. The Wu iz wit me. What the fuck man

  • He's right - "8 Diagrams" is "nutritious right here." Would that Rae & the Crew knew what was good for them...

    "I'm a master producer, homie."

    Word.

  • The GZA once said

"Quit running up on niggas with all that wack shit!"

It's time the Wu took heed to their own advice.

  • like 4 me 8 diagrams isnt good album, maybe the reason is then RZA is producer of them.

  • rza is the best producer in the world.i don't believe in raekwon when he says "he don't pay me" fuck raekwon with your fuckin money problems!

  • "I work hard 'n pay all my billlzzz, back to the mu zak"

Well, RZA says he doesn't owe anyone any money. Hope this mix up gets straightened out.

  • what song is going on in the background at first

  • The new record is dope. Dare I say it but it sounds like the Wu is maturing.

  • im sooooo hyped for cuban linx 2

  • I honestly love him yo, he the Abbot, the wisdom he be dropin is too ill, knahmsayin? 50 cent woundn't drop that much wisdom, wouldn't bring out that much wit & wouldn't make people feel that good towards hip-hop/music/other people during his whole fuckin career. RZA did that during 7,5 minutes, word...

  • yeah, I wasn't super keen on 8 Diagrams at first, but it definitely is a good cd. and U-God does step it up a lot. him and Meth are the only ones that really really brought it. Ghost did too, but he's on what like 3 tracks? RZA kept the beats minimal and experimental, so it's overall a good cd.

  • U-god is crazy on this album, shines on every verse

  • New album is a grower. Its better than any other hip-hop out right now

  • yeh but who else brought real hip hop from start to the UK masses every friday man, thats why artists respect westwood

  • i'll beat the shit out of this subzero nigga god

  • RZA iz da Master. He dat dude, he da Abbot of da Clan so everything is everything like Cappa told everybody already.Raekwon has alwayz been a outspoken part of da Clan, but at DA END OF DA DAY RZA makin da moves dats good fa da Clan.Dem brothers will never beef like dat,so haterz hate and to da mommies, BONG!

  • RZA's dropping some shit right here....the kiddies need to listen.....for real.....fuck soulja boy....lol....

  • what song is that beat from at 1:10 ? Please tell me that is tooo ill

  • this nicca said Wu-Tang is 'nutritious'! lmao

    RZA is my muthafucca!

  • fuk u westood u fake motherfkin son of a baptist middle class motherfker stirin shit up ...fkin silly white boy...i cant believe hes takin the bait

  • I just came back from the wu tang show in LA at the HOB and RZA wasnt there. It was loud but I'm pretty sure I heard correctly when Method was talking mad shit, same thing with rae. GZA was sitting out most of the show but I dont think RZA is with Wu anymore, can anyone shed some more light on this? this is some bullshit if its true...

  • rza tryed to be to epic on new album should of gone old skool, i'm all for progression but too much shitty guitar on record - undpredicatable is quality - nothing beats 36chambers RIP ODB

  • I thought Wu Tang were all for one, one for all.

If your crew don't like the beats, you change the fucking beats.

  • RZA is the bigger man, nuff respect to him, there's always two sides to the story but Raekwon doesn't need to be airing out dirty wu-laundry in public, he's acting like a bitch on her period... i haven't heard that 8 Diagrams yet but based on RZA's passion, i'm sure i won't be disapointed

  • The new Wu album is sick...Rza is a fuckin genius..When hes in control of production the other members shine. When hes not and they venture off with other producers they sound week.Wu is all about that edgy experimental shit.Thats what made them who they are.All haters fall back!!!

  • the bitch in this situation is perspective.

they just have different points of view.

it sounds to me like rae just needs to vent

the albums should reflect the emotion of Wu, thats what made them great. i just think they lost the motivation as a group. the individuals have it, its different for rza though. they just need to agree, thats all.

but regardless of the style of production, none of the beats make me go "holy shit", its still the best shit out lately though.

  • this guy talkin nuffin but sense, i have so much respect for the wu, nobody touches these bredrins. wu forever.

  • rza rza rza gza gza ol ol dirty niggaz family..fuck the fake gangstas!this is the real gangbang family

  • 8 diagrams is the best wu album since wu tang forever..much respect to the rza for wanting to experiment, try different things, isn't this what made us love the Wu in the first place?..they made challenging hip hop music at a time when the scene was scattered, just like it is now..rae, i love you, man but don't overact, dude..8 diagrams will be embraced by all the true wu and hip hip fans

  • wu tang

  • exactly. they've done the raw shit before. RZA's smart for wanting to move on and evolve the sound.

  • peace to the god, well said lord!

  • I've been a die hard Wu fan for nearly 15 years and I think Rae is overreacting honestly. The beats on 8 Diagrams are thoro, and it's not really all that drasticly different compared to a lot of their other shit. I think Rae's mad because he hasn't been able to touch the success he had w/ Cuban Linx, everything he's done since that joint has tanked.

  • rzaa good actor aswell!!!..in deraileddd n americanG

  • god bless rza, hes moving forward as an individual and no body in hiphop in my opinion has done a better job with what they had, rza gods design is perfect, peace to the whole of the clan but rza dont get jumbled if you read this.

god bless, iv followed your career as a fan and stay centred in yourself bro, reality test thats all

  • I got luv and respect for Rae but how you gonna say you'll put an album out with RZA!!!! WHAT!!! I'll be honest, the album he put out that was on point the most was Cuban linx and the rest...ah, you know whats up, I'll just say it wasnt no good follow up from Cuban linx. RZA and others created the wu sound and RZA was incharge of that. RZA is a genius and produced the best albums out of hiphop history but now theres no love.

  • Anybody else think RZA sound like Bubbles from The Wire!!! lol

    Joke Ting still

RZA ur a badman still...Drop another Birth of a Prince star.

  • rza your a great ginius

  • mastermind.....straight up

    mastermind.....

  • rza is the world greatest mind

  • RIZZA IS THA BIGGA JIGGA!! You gotta respect that!! No doubt

  • i often made the exper.that many albs wasnt THE SHIT when i heard it for the 1.time.but with evry time it bec.better&became a f*g classic!its the same with 8D&it was the same with, for example,supr.client.of course therere other class. that i heard 1time&it was like magic(t2000,ob4cl,)but the good thing on albums of that kind is,those that doesnt hit your brain by the 1.time is they just became better&better&...with evry time you hear it.for me 8D is magic!

    WU-TANG4EVER PEACE from Berlin

  • RZA is the creator of wu-tang. Ghostface is the only one who chooses producers who sound like Rza.,.but his albums sound the same. "8 Diagrams" is a new sound...just like "36 chambers" was new. WU TANG with out Rza is the worst idea ever. it cant be done.

  • Rza is a god producer. He created Wu tang. Without Rza Wu would not even exsist. Raekwon must have forgot that his only great album "ONLY BUILT.." was produced by Rza. "TICAL" "LIQUID SWORDS" "RETURN OF THE 36 CHAMBERS" "IRON MAN" "FOREVER" AND "36 CHAMBERS" are the albums that created the dynasty. ALL THOS ALBUMS ARE PRODUCED BY RZA. "8 Diagrams" is a album people will not get at first but will be remebered as a classic. It is truly a great album. Give respect.

  • wu tang 4 eva ,, hahahaaaaaaaaaa

  • money!!!!!

  • rza got the best sounds...its good he wanted to switch up..most people want to hear the same shit over and over..would you guys like to have the same cellphone for life?you gotta upgrade bitch

  • Definately. At the end of the day, Wu is still whats hitting

  • does anyone notice how rza's all of a sudden got an accent?

  • rza's voice anit changed.

Nice interview the new album should be dope i prefer the 36th chambers wu tang though

  • the new album isn't that bad...

but it sure isn't what everyone hoped it'd be.

    it's too chill

    &

gots too many R&B boys singing on it

    &

    it needs more GZA

the new album just isn't RAW

    that's what Wu-Tang Clan fans want...RAW!!!

Method Man steals the album though

  • i respect that his music is evolving, but damn rza you're selling out. You gotta have the WU sound.

  • I don't think that RZA's selling out, the sound ain't has raw, but it's the Wu and it's still RZA...

  • the new album have a diferent sound ,but that''s evolution, rae wanna stuck in the old formula, not smart...

  • 8 Diagrams is great

I think the people who don't like it only listen to old Hip-Hop :(

    :(

    :(

  • Im sorry no disrespect but ... This album will never match The 36th Chambers !!! Old Hip Hop , if you wanna call it that way, was pure and real ... Todays Hip Hop is different. For people who grew up in the early 90s when Wu was shining like a MO FO !!! We dont feel what u feel !!!Listen to the 36 Chambers and Only Built for Cuban Linx one after the other, trust me ... we might listen to old hip hop but 8 Diagrams doesnt not match these 2 classic albums !! Nuff said !

  • I've heard the new album and I Agree w/ Raekwon and Ghostface,it's crap!

I mean the beats are slow and boring.

I like 4 songs out of 16 tracks on that album:

Windmill,Elephant Runs,16th Chamber and Stick Me For My Riches. THE NEW GHOSTFACE IS HARD!!!

  • rza is too cocky for his skill level. bump the past, this dude is annoying me rite now and is killing the Wu

  • rza is dirty

  • rza's the man, but i kinda wish he wasnt quite so cocky about his production talent, but its all good

  • I agree. It's commendable to have a wide world view, but that still doesn't mean that the new Beatles remake song, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," is good. I found it weak, and, no, not because it takes a mellow rock vibe to it, but the Wu-Tang MCs sounded uncomfortable with that style, and the production and delivery from all around didn't sound inspired.

  • But, still, having said that, I do respect artists who do try new, different things even if they fail. But RZA's sound on the Beatles remake doesn't sound as revolutionary as his previous steps forward. And it almost sounds like he went for a straight remake without adding his own style to it.

  • yo mykalroze, you have a good ear homie. you can hear it in rae's voice when he drops the first verse. he was just not feelin it

  • Thanks man, I'm a music fan... a big music fan... and I love all kinds of music, all kinds of artists -- passion or feeling are things that you just can't fake. I'm a long-time rap fan, first started listening back around 1982, and, on this CD, Wu-Tang ultimately disappoints.

  • how long my joint is .. lmao. rza is so fkin great

  • How are you about to say hip-hop is not for everybody? Tell it how it is, RZA.

  • bring killa sin back
