I recommend playing the first one: Dragon Age: Origins before this one as you get the storyline better. It's for PC, Xbox 360 and I'm not sure about PlayStation. Hope this helps!

While it's true that you don't play as a Warden, you do play as Hawke who is a costume character. You can be male or female and you can make them look how you want.

Haha, yeah they're still in there but they don't play as big as role. You fight them at the beginning and there are a few quests that involve them. But Dragon Age 2 is more about the Qunari, mages, templars, and Hawke becoming champion.

It's not AS good as Origins, but it's still worth a play :D

@shizuku90 - Its not DLC. For Merrill, its a re-texture of her LI armor. Isabela gets the corset version of her outfit when romanced too, but that's bugged atm. If you have the PC version, you can edit it from the save file. And Fenris, I downloaded a mod to replace his armor model.
