@jordyken13 wrong, he WAS a dragon, if you knew anything about his lore then you would know that he was tormented by the old gods for many years, plus during the fight before this encounter you have to break his armour off, this is just what he becomes after you break that armour.
@ImpendingDemiseGuild there are several parts to Deathwing as a boss, you actually have to fight him a few times before getting to this stage, also, he was corrupted by the old gods and he seems to be at his angriest at this point in the raid and destroy almost all of his armour and peel him away until he looks like this horrible disfigured monstrosity, makes perfect sense really

@MrFox1231 In fight 6 you ride Deathwings back, and rip off his armour. His armour isn't to keep things out but rather to keep things in. Deathwing has become so corrupted that without his armour this is his true form, which you will encounter in the last fight :)

This fight wasnt even ment to be tested yet thats why it seems easy. deathwing himself isnt doing almost every ability he can do according to his dungeon journal entry.

Does any1 know what happens if you defeat the spine? from what I would guess its that his spine gets destroyed so he instead have those "tentacles" and just sits in the sea?
@d3V3X During the spine encounter you remove his armor plates along his back by ripping out the tendons once they are exposed, holding on to his back when he tries to flip you off by latching onto sticky puddles left over by his corrupted blood. Once his back has been thoroughly destroyed, he crashes into the Maelstrom (seen here) which completely tears him apart, those tentacles are whats left of his appendages afterwards.
I did it on the PTR. The "spine" fight is MUCH harder than this part.
@dkyx The spine fight was very buggy when we were doing it, randomly the puddles weren't working, sometimes the large adds despawned, a few times he didn't turn, etc. Perhaps you did it after it was patched, as Blizz was patching it internally throughout the testing period. We even talked with one of them about the issues.
@wwwpwndcom The reason I mention this is because nowhere in your generally-known tactics in your previous post do I read about barrelrolling Deathwing to make the hideous amalgamations fly off his back. This is absolutely required.

What's up with the "octopus" comments? He's got two front legs, wings, and a tail poking up out of the maelstrom. Without the plates holding him together he's just a lava blob, but he hasn't sprouted extra limbs.
his hands are bubbling, he's literally become lava goop barely being held together by it's mere adhesiveness and the remaining elementium plates, even his jaw is falling off, and he looks like an octopus.

He's a dragon aspect that has been corrupted to breaking point by an old god, who are considered shapeless, tentacled incarnations of pure evil. He's going to be pretty fucked up. I mean... I think Blizzard have done a spectacular job and I'm willing to bet that most folk are going to think the same.
So you give us terrible earraping sound on your overly long intro for a months behind guild that nobody gives a shit about, yet you can't be bothered turning on the sound for the FINAL ENCOUNTER OF THE EXPANSION that you're trying to preview.
The fact is that Blizzard opened up a normal mode and a heroic mode and depending on how fast you clear the content on HC before any nerfs or your guild getting a lot of gear is what's meant to be the actual challenge.
I might as well just be pulling out "omg i played in vanilla, it was so much harder than in tbc", which is just what a person not knowing anything about the game would.
Try Ragnaros HC 25man before any of the nerfs, with starter raid gear, just like vanilla.
