Yes it was a missionary trip and it was through GBIM.org. Grace Brethren International Missions. Excellent organization whose efforts have been impacting the people of Chad for over 16 years.
Thank you so much for posting this! They were amazed like the first time we saw white people! I remember I was like 9 and some white people came by where we were living and we were following them the whole day because they looked so different and we've never seen white people! lol! please tell me is the place in the video Kilo? I am being hunted by that well! It feels like I know that well! I almost fell in one of them when I went to Kilo!
TIA( this is Africa), we love our continent .. and we ( our generation) will build our countries block by block ,, step by step ,, and rebuild what the others damaged it .... we have the wealths and the abilities and the hope to make our dreams be true.
We Americans are spoiled to believe you have to live here to be happy. Yes the conditions are dramatically different but they still smile. "How can they find happiness in such a poor country?" we might ask. Might I suggest getting out of your comfort US home and visiting them to discover their source of true JOY.
Every trip I make to Africa, I'm reminded that you don't need material possessions to make you happy, family is good enough.
