I don't know why some people have such an intense dislike of Blackmore's Night just because Blackmore is playing a different sort of music now. I don't see why you can't like both, or at least feel something other than seething anger for the stuff you don't like.

I've been listening to Deep Purple and Rainbow since I was a baby, and I enjoy them both. Blackmore's night is a very different style, but it's still good music (well, a lot of it anyway... they don't take themselves too seriously).

Music is all a matter of opinion and EVERYONE has one. Get over it. We don't all like the same music. Blackmore, like anyone else, can play what ever he wants. It is amazing to me to constantly hear people slamming musicians they don't particularly like. If you don't like them don't watch their videos and let it go at that. But that's just my opinion!

this is a classic song, everything rb does is of a high standard and listenable and enjoyable, whether purple, rainbow or blackmores night. i was resistant to bn in the beginning, but the music is different and takes you back in time which is what sometimes we need, though after listening to half an hour of blackmores night, i find myself playing rainbow or deep purple to get back to the hard rock guitar playing and real hard rock voices of ian gillan and ronnie dio

I haven't got a clue about what Blackmore "owne", but I think he owe it to himself and to his own fantastic talent to make music again.

The only, sole reason why people praise BN is because Blackmore is in the band. If he weren't in the band from the beginning, no one would've noticed them. I find it amuzing when Purple/ Rainbow fans are discussing things like "oh, I wonder if he's going to play the Strat much on the new record..." etc. If they were into medival music, they wouldn't care!

What I wanted to say is that to me he is musically a superb guitar player his solo's and riffs are great to listen to I have it all, but technically there are even beter guitarist nowadays like for example Vai.
