Hey I noticed the comments down there where you're discussing this song and your vocals, I do love your voice but this song doesn't suit you. I don't know everything about singing . I have sung all my life but just recently have been taking vocal lessons, and I know you study music so I know you probably know better than I , but I'm just being honest and although you have a beautiful voice I don't know if you are or can sing Hayley's vocals. Ok idk if I made my point very well sorry.
I love your voice, it's amazing. However, I think Evanescence songs suits you better. A Paramore song that would probably suit you better would probably All I Wanted. Try it please? :3
Well, I'm a big paramore fan, first of all you did a great cover but like it's been said, your voice is too sweet for "Ignorance" chest voice is missing for this song
The problem is that your voice is so sweet for this song. try to use more chest voice/resonance, and try to not shift to your head voice. it's called "belting". It will be more difficult at the beggining to sing the high notes with the chest voice, but if you do it it will sound more "full" and resonant. I guess you're not used to it because you sing different kind of music and 'cause it seems thay your a light/lyric soprano.
@Frigg567 The problem is, is that this song doesn't belt properly. It's more on the lines of shouting than it is actually belting. I've sang many songs before where belting is needed and this song is not one of them. It's more focused on using the throat for the louder sustaining pitches than the using the chest voice. With that being said, I appreciate your critique and will use it in the future when necessary! :0)
@xoclkox In fact, I think that Hayley shouts a lot when she sings live. Specially in "brick by boring brick". I think she sounds strained sometimes. Maybe because like you said, it's more focused on the throat... you have a light and soft timbre, that's why it sounds "sweet". But having a light timbre does not means WEAK!! yes, it's a tiny type of voice, but it has wonderful qualities that heavier voices usually don't have, like flexibility or agility, and a "bell" quality, which you have.
@Frigg567 Well I'm feel kind of confused because I've had several voice professors tell me that I have a very full timbre that sounds dark so that's why I'm a little skeptical of being an actual light lyric soprano (seeing as how I'm actually more of a mezzo-soprano). I think it all just depends on the type of song that I'm singing. I'll be sure to ask my voice instructor when I go back to college to see where s/he might put me. :0)
@xoclkox How long ago he said that? Remember the voice isnt very stable before the 20's!, Tessitura changes!. For me, your voice is not dark at all!, even when you sing Nightwish and you darken the tone. A dark natural mezzo's timbre, it's like Joyce Didonato and Elina Garanca. I've known girls that once were mezzos, but when they were developing more their voices and techinique, their teachers found they were sopranos!. Same happened with Sumi Jo and Joan Sutherland! both coloratura sopranos!
@xoclkox So, I guess you have easy and beautiful high notes above High C. And with training, if you are a coloratura soprano (those who have light voices usually have coloratura) you can reach resonant and clear high notes. Just listen to Natalie Dessay performing the Doll Song or Air Des Clochettes. Listen her High E's, a full lyric soprano like Netrebko hit that note but very weak. But I don't know, only your vocal teacher will tell you. he/she knows your voice more than me, surely.
Well, I do not speak English but I hope you understand. I've seen all your videos and I'm surprised you do a cover of paramore because usually you pull out your beautiful voice. that does not mean I do not like this cover, the opposite. I think you did great, you got better as the vocalist sings that song live.
I hope we follow your subcriptores surprising everyone with your voice.
Could you possibly cover a Muse song? I know the vocals are male, but most songs are based in a really fantastic alto range (Matthew Bellamy has vocal chords resembling a females, actually). And if it's possible (if you decide to say yes for some reason or another) could you not do Supermassive Black Hole? Too many people do that one and I know you hate overusing and oversinging something. Thanks!
That was really good! Believe me, I know first hand how hard Paramore is to sing, and you did a fantastic job! You look gorgeous, sound great, and I'm going to have to steal your tshirt. Muhaha! Oooh, and I absolutely love the thumbnail! Keep rocking, you're very awesome!
Definitely not your best cover, but considering you tried to sing it the same way Hayley does - screaming (in the little kid on the playground sense) to get the higher notes, I applaud you.
Very good singing! Just a little bit too much of those "dangerous, even though meant a little bit ironic" looks and the metal-movements ;) But the voice rawwwwwks :D
I don't think it was your best one, but I think it's because of your trying to get to hayley's range (which isn't a very good range). I definitely think you did a better job than her though.
when i saw the title of this video, i was like o_O because i hate haleys voice because she just screams into a mic rather than singing and you made this song totally work! i loved the harmonies in the chorus as well! another fabulous cover courtney, keep up the good work <3
Some of the blinking at :53 freaked me out XD... don't know why you would waste your talent on such a terrible band... but you made it a lot better that the original. :)

How on earth do you sing those high notes having a choir-y voice? I can only do it sometimes, but it kills.
