american dreamer is a documentary. hopper is playing himself, or "being" himself. i don't think he would refer to himself as a "lesbian" today. i think he would realise now that the idea of a biological male being a lesbian is....questionable at best. i suppose a "transgendered" individual (biologically male, yet self-identifying as female) could be a "male lesbian," but i doubt that hopper would put himself in this category..........
I think the guy has/had a lot of talent. I have a problem with being a fan of a woman beater. I know he had a lot of problems in the past but that is one that I can't reconcile.
if you truly read easy riders, raging bulls as I did, you would understand that its not the entire truth. the author admits himself that basically everthing is stories, and even notes when certain people denied a story he put in his book. with that being said, dennis was a crazy fuck in his day, but you seem smug as shit, not everything in that book is fact ok pal
Nah, you don't want Dennis, not during this period at least. He was, to put it mildly, far from a gentleman with his girlfriends. Read Peter Biskind's excellent book on Hollywood in the 70's - "Easy Riders, Raging Bulls" , and you'll see what I'm talking about.
