  • I use this for a monitor for my DJ & it works awesome.. The bass is very respectable but thats cause its right by my ear all night.. So id advise only for monitoring or if u buy for parties etc, use 2 speakers for a max of 150 people or backyard parties & they are good just do not clip! .....also whats that song name?

  • i have two of these models they are pretty good lately am not sure what has been going on but alot of static comes out the speakers when i play songs am not sure whats up with that? any idea? or maybe the tweeters are bad now? or magnet is dusty??? please help

  • then some how some way when my order came through amazon.com 2 them, they used that time 2 box up the behringer daul 15 cab as brand new. taking a gamble on that because im cali and there in new york, why in the would i send it back at a such a high cost that they dont refund you on the retrun shipping' yea see now smart huh' they saw a sucker comeing fast at them {me} and i got took 4 a ride..how did i know- lets just say lucky guess..

  • "j r" music and computer world yep thats where it came from. stay away from those ripp-of fucks you see those fucks know how to work the system right' what they did was give me a floor in store model or something, and some where along 2 many costumers test playing it in there store someway or somehow f-up out the bottom woffer or somethnig. then jr music world on there end move the speaker in 2 there wherehouse 4 a few mo's or longer not sure. trying 2 figure out how to sell re-sell this

  • why would i send it back when it only cost me like 210.00$ 2 get it.-BUT at a 175.00$ retrun rate fvk no, more then half of what its worth no way' so now i have this Behringer useless junk. well not all''the box is in good shape no marks or dings just the front gril, but i guess lesson to be learned here dont buy cheep speakers no matter what or how cheap in cost these days cuzz all your gonna get is junk. well at least not from amazon. com, lucky i still have my kick ass cerwin vega 's daul 15's

  • Oh yea' well i just got my Behringer daul15' cab. and it was so fvkup' the front gril had so many dents in it, and then when i removed it from the box new' yes new' and hook it up blam' nothing but a cracking counching sound from the bottom woffer and the other woffer not working at all zero. but the tweeter was working just fine,NICE' now i have to retrun this fvkup junk back to amazon.com. lucky i just bought 1. hell no am i gonna send it back at a 175$ shipping rate from ca- new york..

  • aww, should have gone with jbl. Behringer is know for unreliability. i really hope they last you though.

  • I have got a couple of these 2 and have had them for almost 3 years. They sound good. Are decent on bass, but you have to know how to EQ. The mate well with the QSC K SUB and work well at weddings, and high school dances. I have used 2 of these with a single K SUB at an event with 600 people on a barn, and it was a little less than desired at the real of the hall (about 200') but overall they performed pretty well. Just have to watch to make sure you don't clip them.

  • I'm about to buy a pair of behringer 215D's as my first pair of DJ speakers.. Does anyone have them, or has anyone used them, and can tell me if they're a good buy or not?

  • @phillywigs hey did you then? how did it go?

  • @DjBobbyLosAngeles ya, i got them. absolutely love them.

  • I purchased a pair of these. I perform with two arranger keyboards and sing. I did an outdoor gig in a back yard with a huge patio, multi level deck and and they sounded very good. I was even asked to turn it down! No distortion, clear sound and they weren't even pole mounted. Anyway I liked them so much that I got another pair. The newer ones have yellow Behringer sticker instead of white stickers and are the same as far as I know. Good sound, good price, good value. I recommend them.

  • i have the Ev and i can say they do come close to sounding as good as the EV. remember its not the badge on the speaker its the quality of sound and i've Heard the Behringer and i was very impressed.

  • bass dish?, think to pair a subwoofer?

  • FYI...if you were wondering...the "A" in B215A means that the amplification technology is "Class A"..(meaning simple technology, but very inefficient power distribution)...the next generation behringer speakers...B215D...now use class D amplifiers..(meaning more advanced circuitry and they weigh less because not needing big heat sinks like the class A does, and are very efficient at distributing wattage to the speakers)...hope that makes sense...haha

  • @xxxcrazypeoplexxx good thing to know, I am glad I am paying the power bill for the venues!

  • @xxxcrazypeoplexxx No PA system will run in class A... Class AB,H and D for sure.

  • @xxxcrazypeoplexxx I read the A means it was their first attempt and D their fourth.

  • Hi RockTheHouse4, great demo of the BEHRINGER B515A. Thank you for making a video with our product, we appreciate it. We've subscribed to your channel and we'll be glad to see more of your upcoming videos. Godspeed!

  • Repairinger. I have not had good luck with behringer. I have not heard their speakers though. they look decent and im sure they sound good too. if ur getting a sub, dont go for peavey. they r crap sounding. pay a little more and get something to make these sound even better.

    cheers.

  • @herecomesicknesss "Amatuer"? yeah right! Have a great day kid !!

  • @paulikorg from little(kid) and from crazy you learn the truth

  • Have you compared them to EV speakers? (which are twice the price) And if so, would you say the Behringer speakers are close to the quality in sound the EV spakers have?

  • @ctelon Behringer does not compare to EV in any way. these are entry level speakers. They do sound good though. Basically, its about price. I have not had problems with these speakers yet And I have had them ever since July of 2008.

  • @RockTheHouse4 Thanks for your reply

  • @RockTheHouse4 haha, speaking of which

I have two older Electro Voice stage series 3-ways, and two Behringer S1530 3-way stage speakers

the behringers and ev's both have prestine sound even when i've fully maxed them out on my amp and mixer to the loudest they'll go during town events, and don't distort. the ev's have better mid-range but then again, they're much more expensive cabs to start with, so compared to something i payed $241 for, they rock out.

  • where did u get them and how ,much?

  • @hohneraccordionista musicians friend.com, the price is on there just search for B215a

  • i am a dj and i got 4 of these. there is really no need for a sub woofer if you know how to eq them.. i have used 2 of them for major weddings of 300 people and was told "it was too loud".. depending on how you use them they are worth every penny. i have had mine for over 4 years now with out one problem.. knock on wood...

  • These are the speakers (2) I got and use them RV camping at the river (Colorado river/Havasu). They are awesome and hella loud enough to be heard at a distance. The bass is ample enough for what we do. Can't imagine sitting near these with a 18" sub going off, lol.

  • i have this speakers they only last arround 9 months and i only used them like twice a month now im not gona buy powered speakers any more or if i buy something ill buy qsc much more money but better quality

  • my b215a speaker is not workin <fuse is not blown. does any one knows whats wrong

  • @teeKAYelle on the inside behide the power block. Check to see if there is a loose soldier. It will be located just under the white plastic cover piece. It is usually one of the legs of the Green electronic piece. I have had to resoldier it on both of my B215A

  • @teeKAYelle on the inside behide the power block. Check to see if there is a loose soldier. It will be located just under the white plastic cover piece. It is usually one of the legs of the Green electronic piece. I have had to resoldier it on both of my B215A.

  • my b215a speakers gave out < speakers is not blown or fuse does any one knows what will be the problem?

  • Cool I just bought the new B212D with 550 watts of power.

  • Only thing I don,t like about Behringer is their speakers,Iv,e blown them. A better upgrade is to replace with American made Emminance,FAR BETTER,bigger magnets ARE heavy, but perform WAY better!

  • ??@1W/1M and whats the F range?

  • i got 4 of these on my own, they are great!!! im a mobile dj so this is a great setup, im also looking to buy a couple of 18 powered subs and ill have my dreamsetup hehe

  • SO I'm looking at buying three of these used. This is for a frat house setup with hardwood floors. Probably won't have over 200 people there. Closed in venue, too. What do you think? A good setup?

  • @samwich717 yeah sounds good, you might want a subwoofer with them though.

  • @RockTheHouse4 so do you think three of these with stands, cables and a mixer is worth $950? We are just hooking up a laptop so there's not much involved in the way of DJing...

  • @samwich717 well if the speakers are new yes. I think still you would need a subwoofer, and considering you would be putting these speakers to use almost every weekend bass is key. try looking for a affordable powered subwoofer to pair with the system and you will have a sweet setup.

  • hey man do these sound good and do u get lost of bass?

  • @djsmithy14 they sound good, bass is ok. could be better but you get what you pay for

  • i play in a punk band and we go pretty loud, so we need a fairly strong system. if i use these with my passive board will it be able to go loud enough for gigs of anywhere from 100-300 people? please respond and tell me if i can use these efficiently for my band, or if i should look into buying different speakers.

  • @ledzep896 they are ok for groups under 100. (2 speakers). anything over that you should consider getting subs or more tops. basically whatever you do get, speakers can only go so loud. the more speakers the more sound you can produce.

  • hey guys dont buy jb systems buy dap audio ist better but not more expensive

i recomend for passive dap mc 12

and for active db tegnologies basic 200 malstrommusic

  • this speakers really caught my attention im planning on buying 2.. i was wondering.. to connect 2 together do you need to buy any hardware?... i wanna use this for my parties

  • @JaIrN all you need is an XLR cable to connect them, they would be mono if you daisey-chain them though.

  • these look an awful lot like lem d400's wit the same specs and all

  • hey great video i just got the b215d do you know the diff

  • @chrisawaite I believe its just a newer model, it seems to me the only thing they changed was the logo sticker on the front.

  • behringer makes the shittest products ever! why would anyone buy this crap

  • @AshKrikorian

...people who don't wan't to pay for the brand name and don't require peak performance.

Most of the Behringer stuff is great for beginner bands, small parties and most semi-professional events... so why badmouth it? Behringer stuff has definetly a better bang for the buck ratio than most brand name equipment, and if you don't push it to hard it can even be reliable.

If it had a JBL Sticker on it this speaker would probably cost five times as much =D

  • It has nothing to do with the name brand, their products sound horrible, and half the time barely work.

JBL to me is a crappy company as well... Only slightly better than behringer in terms of performance..

If you are going to half ass a production why even bother?

  • @AshKrikorian

Good Point, but they aren't that crappy. But with some eqing and for "low" levels ... why not ? you can't always have nexo ps15's for every small low budget party. The high rental prices would make all these small venues disappear...

  • @RoteKampfSocke

they are not high rental prices, they are normal prices.. it is venues and event coordinators who have no concept of quality that compromise production which cheap pricing that hinders production.

  • @AshKrikorian

I can't agree with that. Creating the maximum Quality (oversatisfying the client) with the minimum input should be the goal. on a competative market price will always be a more important factor then quality (sadly) In the rental business it is up to the customer what he decides to rent and how to use it. and the behringer stuff pays for itself really quickly. of cause you have to have an option to upgrade....

  • I just picked up a pair of these to use as stage floor monitors for my band. These things sound freagin' awesome! I can't believe how clear they are for the money I paid for them.

  • how are the difference between E1520A???

    only the cabinet??

who sounds better in quality and bass range??

  • i got these exact same speakers. they work wonderful for me. i play them straight from my b52 prodigy, for big events i take and extra 18 inch subwoofer for the bass, but for small clubs and back yard parties they are all i need.

  • Great vid, was wondering how big of a crowd you can play for with two of these speakers.

    John

  • really good

how is the bass of this box?

  • Do you think you can upload a video demonstrating the bass capabilities with some good bass songs ?? Please :D, Thanks.

  • check out some of the videos on the page, the camera nearly does not do justice to the speakers,

  • RockTheHouse4, can you tell me please if the bass on the speakers is loud ? I mean EXTREMELLY loud ?? Do I have to get an active subwoofer with those or the speaker will satisfy my pervert desire for HUMONGOUS low frecvency bass ???

  • it is adequate, for anything under 150 people, if you are trying to fill a hall the size of a basketball court you would need a sub, at least 2 with at least 500 w rms

  • Since the speakers alredy have an amp, where wuold those 1/4 jacks be connected too?

  • whatever you have music coming out of, mixer, computer, MP3 player, Phone, anything pretty much

  • what adapter do i use to connect my speaker wire to adapt 1/4 jack at the end

  • radio shack has a 1/4 inch to RCA adapter.

  • so where do i connect my speaker wire?

  • Im talking about my negative and positive bare wires to a 1/4 , thanks

  • the B215a's cannot handle high signal as in bare wires because the amp is built in.

  • oh ok. how about my passive jbl jrx125 they have 1/4 input but im using an amp that only gives out speaker wire output so im wondering what adapter i can use for that.

  • you have to split the RCA or XLR signal wire before it goes to the amp and behringer speakers. if you try to connect the 1/4 inch from the amp to powered speakers you will blow them.

  • how do I cause less feedback, when I turn it up and sing, I get feed back, How do I cancel that out?

  • feedback destroyer or a better microphone. turning the speaker away from you helps too.

  • do you mind using a microphone for the Behringer 215A and crank it up a little loud so I can see how loud these get? Thanks

  • almost every wedding I have djed and took video on you tube on my profile I have used them.

  • if you check my profile page, I have djed almost every wedding with these speakers to give you a good indication of how loud they can get.

  • one of the speaker you have ,is it a 212A?

  • I have 2 B215a's

  • also, when I buy this Behringer 212A Active powered speaker at the store, Will it come in box or will the dude grab one off the floor?

  • is this similar to the Behringer 212A

    im gettin this one Friday!!

  • Say I buy that Berhinger speaker, can I buy a non powered speaker and can I hook it up to the behringer to have sound commin out of two speakers?

  • no. a powered speaker means that it only powers itself. you can "link" 2 powered speakers together but the sound will still only be mono, IE: lust the left or right speaker.

  • they're good...but you cant have them without a sub. its empty

  • They are not good speakers, behringer make speakers that will sound good and work for a year tops. Don't be fooled by there cheap price get something good that will truly last!!

  • you have a point. but for the price!

  • I have a system of 4 SX300's with 2 SB112's plus 4 ev SX100's as monitors and it boasts some serious sound pressure levels!! The SB112's throw out a tremendous amount off bass. Seriously if any off you are fed up lugging about heavy 18" bass bins go for these 12" subs they will amaze you!!

  • yeah too bad im going for active speakers

  • Well you're loss if the amp goes, you will never get them powered up properly again.

  • Hey Bobert871 not all of us can afford Mackies and since these speakers aren't for professional applications they're solid for weddings and other things... Some people like to drive these speakers way up to the top pretending that they're gonna get more than what they got and suddenly they end up blowing the horn or the entire speaker

TIP: Keep your eyes peeled for that RED CLIP light and don't overdrive them and you will have a long lasting experience with these speakers!

  • terrible speakers

  • why?, i'm thinkin of getting those, should'n I?

  • They will not last. Trust me mate go for sumthin like EV zx1's they are tiny but they seriously pack punch 499 for a pair get urself a 100-200 pound amp. If you have the cash go for some SX100's or SX300's they will truly last you till music stops being made. do not fall into behringers trap of sales quantity well over quality.

  • one tip I can give you turn the TREBLE knob to the left a little bit and you'll avoid seeing the RED CLIP light as much considering the fact that the Horn can only handle 100 watts as far as the bass don't pass more than the middle and just crank them up you'll enjoy crip sound without blowing the horn... cheers!

  • lol "or active". I have the 12" version which are quite cool.

  • could anyone PLEASE tell me how much these things weigh EXACTLY?

  • 51lb's - he mentioned it in the video AND the description.

  • set it a loud volume! :)

  • u cant use this monitors at a party! on a high level u need better quality! much of watt means only much of power. but it sucks to listen at behringer monitor on a high volume! buy some mackies!

  • This are rock solid excellent performers... good buy man!!! congrats!!!

  • Hi, I was wondering if I could use a Behringer B215A for an electronic percussion pad like the Roland SPD-20. Or would you recommend me to use something else that's loud enough to top drums and guitar and still affordable?

    thnx

  • These speakers should be fine,

  • If you look in a German Dictionary....

    Behringer = noise

  • hey how are those Behringer B212A 12In 450W 2-Way Powered Speaker.. im thinking about getting those for personal monitors at night clubs when i dont get a monitor. and do you think i need a sub for small parties?

  • you would not need a sub for small parties

  • I'm going to get a pair. Just for djing in my lounge room and maybe a small party in the garden when the weathers good. Will post my opinion after i get them. Behringer are obviously not as good as JBL etc, but they are much cheaper and as as far as cheaper speakers go i think the brand is trust worthy. I would not go any cheaper. It's the best of the bottom line. I have some 'truth' studio monitors and they are great...

  • I actually put them on par with the tapco thumps. However, the thumps I can actually push them quite a bit harder than these. I have a set of Tapco thumps and a matrix 1000 v2. I got the thumps when my sub died. I looking at a complete revamp and thinking I'm going with JBL.

  • from my experience, behringer are a cheap brand, but they have pretty good sound quality, especially for the price.

  • behringer are......heard them and they sound cheap and nasty.

for cheap decent active lightweight ABS speakers the db technologies and some of them use B&C speaker components which is a decent pro brand but the active cabs are at a fairly budget price.

db technologies basic line 400 are 225w rms + 50w rms and sound ok.

and cost £430 ish a pair.

db technologies opera live 402 are 250w rms + 50w rms and use B&C drivers.

sound as good as the EV SX300 imo.

and cost around £680 a pair.

  • for highs and mids, bass you would need a sub

  • Take LEM

    no behringer;)

i say: Lem Pegasus N series!!!

  • what song are you playing?

  • Sounds like , Crystal Waters - 100% Pure love.

  • behringer sucks, jbl or EV

  • Early 80's you would have been right, their stuff was SHITE back then - but since 2007, they've got a whole new factory in china, as opposed to just sending the plans and diagrams to a manufacturer - these days they make everything themselves, even the paper that goes in their cones is pulped by them at their factory.

If you search for it there are tours of their factory - they've really stepped up their game, I consider it a bit of a well kept secret how well their stuff is made now..

  • i have the same speaker, but im only running one of them becuase i only dj at house parties and one of these is enough to get the party going, although im not very satisfied with the bass, specially becuase i play hiphop almost in a dialy basis, and i feel the need for more of that bass, my question is, is what subwoofer should i get to balance everything out? and how do i go about plugging them to my mixer? im not very familiar with a stand alone subwoofer thats why, thanks in advance

  • any powered subwoofer would work fine, look for one that has a built in cross over though. the subwoofer will definitely shake the house party.

what you want to do is use the link out from the behringer into the powered sub and thats about it!

  • I think you would want to link to the behringer from the powered sub output. Most powered subs have built in cross overs and a mid/high output to go to your full range speakers. This will give your mid/high's allot more headroom as they wont be wasting power reproducing the base sounds that the sub is already handling.

  • That's my plan eventually.

  • you sound like a smart guy and maybe you are online. what is the difference between these speakers and say gemini gx 1501's? just looking to get started doing small town gigs. . .

    Thanks

  • I cant really compare the two because i have never heard gemini gx 150's in action. Sorry

  • This may be a ridiculous question, and I apologize in advance if it is, but can these speakers be synced up? If i run a 1/4" input to one of them, then an XLR out of that one and into the other one, will they both put out the same sound (assuming of course all the dials are set equally)? Thanks!!

  • yes they can!

  • behringer sound way better then tapco.

  • dunno if to get these or the tapco thump.......anyone tried boith and knows which sound best?

  • cool, how much? 800 for the pair?

  • 800 watts total

  • Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of a pair of these for our Backyard Theater. I've been using a receiver system and some old Yamaha floorstanding speakers from the '80s, and I think this would be a massive upgrade. We have a 16'x10' screen mounted on the back of our house that we play movies on in the summer out by the pool. Eventually I'd get another for center and some of the 212A's for rears. Nice vid, and thanks again

  • wow that sounds like a awesome setup in your back yard! these speakers will definitely do a great job in your outdoor theater.

  • You should look at JBL and MAckie too, wayyyyyyyyy better quality and well worth the price.

  • i have to agree mackie and jbl,

  • I own a pair of this too.

they great for small house partys

or for monitors, the give you a loud sound

not intended for bass, but if its voice what you want then they definally will work for you.

  • I am wondering if these speakers can be hooked up to a computer Thanks in advance

  • they sure can, all you need is a converter 1/8 inch jack to 1/4 inch mono plug. you can adjust volume with the volume control on the back of the speaker

  • What better?

    B215A or B215

    Whats Louder?

With or without an embbeded amp?

  • The B215A is heavier because of the amp, and you do not run the risk of over powering the speaker also. the B215 you need an amp which is one more thing to carry with you to a gig. They should perform exactly the same if you match the wattage per channel exactly. otherwise you can turn up your unconnected amp to get more volume but run the risk of killling your speakers. i would have to say the b215a's are a better choice

  • These are really great speakers. If you still dont have subs, try putting them in the corner's, you'll get better results for bass while their on stands. My mixer (I think its the 2200FXPRO by Behringer) has outputs for master and bass. So I run my subs off different volume control as I do my behringer 215A's. It helps out alot.

  • I have these same speakers. Its weird cuz they hella loud with music from a cd/out source, But for live p.a with a mixing board and mic they sound shytty..???

  • Strange, maybe try a different mixing board or mics?

  • I use these as my mid's and hi's. For better results with a mic, I have a voice effects machine (multiverb III), and I also use a Behringer mixer with effects. Just a little reverb helps, otherwise it will sound flat!

  • hey what sup man?

so im doing a 50th bday party for the my first time next week, can you give any advice as far as the hits i must play?lol.also do you of any website i can search for music to play for that occasion?

    thanks!

  • Ask the people you djing for if they have any song request before hand, and you got to build up your music collection before you go on a gig! As far as Birthday Parties, you need to get like the new tracks go to your favorite radio station website and they have all the new hits and what people request!

  • one question! do you even have a floor subwoofer

for your systems like a nice JBL JRX118SP, oh and the P stands for powered.. they go around 700 or 600 bucks and it has some good chest pounding bass.

  • I also have 2 un-powered peavey pr15's. in most applications i don't use them.

  • got another qust for you.

so how many watts should i get the subwoof for, does it matter?

  • yes, more power/more subwoofers = more bass

it really depends on what places you plan on playing, small bars just these should be fine, large halls you might want to get 2 subwoofers around 500 watts rms/1000 watts peak, or higher

  • so 1000 watts peak then?sounds good.

    thanks again man.

  • hows is it going,i got the pair all ready, got to say im very satisfied, there pretty dam loud.

so what subwoofer would you recommend?

    thanks!

  • i use 2 peavey pr15's with these tops. i might be investing in powered subwoofers in the future also.

pretty much any good subwoofer speaker company will complement these active speakers very nicely (jbl, ev, sonic, peavey)

  • i see.

    thanks.

  • how about the behringer subs? On a scale of one to ten what is the sound quality of these speakers? Thanks!!!

  • i have never heard any behringer subs yet, i hope to in the future. These speakers compared to other active/powered speakers in the same power and size, they sound very good. the range especially in the highs is very smooth and not tinny or distorted at high volumes. the price is just right. i would give them a 8 out of 10.

  • do you know what the rms of the two speakers combined is? With that could you also say what kind of size party you could do with these (100 people? 200?)

Thanks v much for your help

  • rms/speaker is approximately around 300 watts

    X 2= 600 watts total.

i would feel very comfortable with using these for 100-150 people, anything over 150 i like to use subwoofers. It also depends on the room you will be playing in. larger room= means bring subs along.

  • I have a Samson db1500a and it is 1,000 watt

powered which would be good to use with these speakers. It has casters too for rolling. Bigdogg is considering these speakers. Thanks for the vid.

  • The a is for active

  • No cooling fins??

  • i believe their are some inside the box, when the woofer moves it creates air flow over the fins and cools the amp. cranking them pretty loud it was a little warm to the touch, but nothing to be concerned about.

  • Yes dude, you can do wedding with this 2, they are gooooodddddd, if you add a sub even better, don't underestimate this speakers, tehy really rock.

  • i found out last night how good they really are at a birthday party. i had my doubts and they exceeded them thanks!
