at cosmo canyon go downward until you get to a beach and then use maniplulate on some squid-ish thing to use big guard on your party and then yoou have it if you have the enemy skill materia equipped

Okay, yeah, I never got there but I can tell you one thing, Yuffie and Vincent CAN be obtain in the first disk, Although I'll admit Vincent is insanely hard at lvl 14-15. But yuffie is a pushover to get. you go in the woods Closest to the river and walk around them for a while until u fight her. Though I think she can be gotten on the Gongaga side of the river to. I'll have to check that. But still, if you are that far you either said SCREW THIS, (I nearly did) or you just plain skipped her.

dude im still in that part im where clouds stuck crazy in that plaze and i dont got yuffie yet and im like lvl 50 cus ive been stuck there for ever what do i do to get to that part?

i don't rly remember how to get past the cloud being crazy part but Yuffie is completely random while ur on the overworld map (not in a vehicle) u should encounter her one way or another but don't attack her after a while she ask some questions answer them and she'll join u eventually

You cant kill this guy. He just uses Three attacks in this order: Quake2+All, Normal attack, Ultima beam, then it chikens out

Best way to survive this guy? Anything that enhances your ability to resist magic. Other than that, easy as pie. Oh and get any materia that enhances your HP.
