I have a question and can you please reply because its driving me crazy, right at the end when you opened that hatch with the pipe, when i do that the hatch doesn't open? do you know whats wrong
A few possibilities. Make sure you're grabbing hold of it by holding down the mouse and swinging it in the direction you want it to move. One trick is, rather then standing infront of it like I do, stand behind it and push it around, that can sometimes help. If it really doesn't move no matter what you do, you might wanna try uninstalling/reinstalling the game, just in case something didn't load right.
This game and Amnesia both are probably the freakiest games I have played, with Amnesia just slightly comming out on top (playing Amnesia first might have slightly biased me, though...)
Ignoring your poor grammar, he does die via the incinerator. At least not directly. It's only a guess, but I feel that his 'death' in the furnace was his minds way of letting go. I don't think it can be argued that Requiem all took place in Philips mind. The fact you see him dead on the floor of the room he was knocked out in is evidence of that.
So I think the whole game might be just his mind working out everything he's seen/done, and forming a conclusion from it.

@RichardOnADragon
Actually, I kinda prefer Penumbra a bit more. But that could've been becuase I was Recording during my first time through Amnesia.
Oymon 1 year ago
@Oymon Ah well, opinions will differ. Though they are both very very very good games.

Oh yeah, Penumbra's one of the few games that really does scare me each time I play it. ^^
And there's good new too. The team behind it are already getting close to finishing thier next game.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Should be out by August. Check the site for a scary-ass video, and Pre-order now! :3

Myst was an pretty good game, puzzle-wise. Although some of it's puzzles were devilishly hard. =P

I still dont get how Philip dies.
FalzarGregar 2 years ago
What exactly don't you get?
Oymon 2 years ago
like, at the end of requirem.
you see him having 2 options. burn in inferno.
or exit the door and suddenly go back to the past in the ship.
wtf.
None of these really happen because he never got there.
so how the fuck did he die?
FalzarGregar 2 years ago
As I've said many times already, you don't get the option to go through the door. The only option you have is to go into the incinerater and burn.
Oymon 2 years ago
dude i forgot.
