The same thing happened to me. When I was in the 2nd grade I found out that my big sister was really my half-sister and my mom had been married for. I was upset that they didn't think I was old enough to handle it. INFORMATION IS KEY!
I heart you G dog... I dislike my allergies very very much and living in Colorado don't really help.. I should totally move to AZ and have a few beers with you.. that would be some good times..
Sheltering your children is only delaying the inevitable and, when the time comes, making things worse. I can't imagine keeping a child home from school because of a President's speech, no matter how different their politics are from mine.
A good parent wants their children to become educated, will answer questions, and allows them to form their own opinions. My Mom did, and hopefully when the day comes that I have kids, I can pass on the same.
I'm taking a psychohistory class this semester, and my professor was talking about how the media portrays Obama as the "savior" that would solve our problems, and that the people would throw a fit once they realize that he's only human.
he's not a completely radical thinker, he's not a communist. he doesn't have any crazy ideas that will flip the world upside down. he just believes that everyone has a responsibility to their country, and to the planet.
the extremists in this country are some of the most divisive hypocritical people on the planet. They don't want Obama to be painted as anything less than a villainous tyrant.
Aw hun, I hope you feel better. I feel your pain - I have horrible allergies in live in Kentucky. Yeah, enough said, haha. I love you Gretchen - you are an amazing, inspirational woman. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face.
