  • The Bird was truly one of a kind. Talented, colorful, a bit bizarre, but one of the most down to earth athletes ever, even after he reached stardom. Still acted like the guy next door. Shame his carrer was shortened by injuries. RIP Bird

  • 2010 the year of the Tiger.

  • I was a baseball crazy 10 year old when the Bird came along. He was one of the first players that I clearly remembered.

He was a genuine article, not the PR shills which pros have become. He did what he did because it was who he was, not a marketing gimmic which is what sports have become. Remember him well because we will not see the likes of him again. Goodby Mark, and I hope the Bird has his wing back....

  • Does anybody else think that the black chick MIGHT not have known anything about him? hahaha. She was a LITTLE vague.

  • have the 1976 Monday Night Baseball game where Fidrych started vs the Yankees. If anyone wants to aquire it on DVD let me know.

  • Baseball we'll miss you, Now your with God, showing off that smile! You were a spirited presence, and a youthful grace, embraced by baseball and the entire sportsworld when we needed you... Your enthusiasm and passion for the game is what made you different form the past and present sports athletes..something they should see from the example you set.. you made baseball fun again. We all remember what you brought to our living rooms that spring of 1976, when you struck out Reggie.. R.I.P.

  • Tiger fans love and miss you. Rest in Peace Mr. Fidrych. You won't be forgotten.

  • RIP Bird
