she sucks. gran marnier AND tripple sec? only a 1/2 oz vodka?. there are many different published cosmo recipes. I have made 100's of these already in my 3 year career and the recipe that I find works best is: 1.5oz citrus vodka. 3/4 oz cointreau. 3/4 oz fresh lime juice. and just enough cranberry to give it a nice pink color abt 1/2-3/4 oz is plenty. I garnish with a fat orange twist to back up the cointreau in its effort to balance the tartness of the lime and citrus vodka. Give it a try guys
also... any bartenders know that she put WAY too much cranberry in there and you can tell by the way she lifted off on the end pour. These videos suck.
Oh man...way way WAY to much cranberry juice. Should be just enough to color the drink, not enough to taste like a cranberry drink. And Grand Marnier? No. Simply terrible.
FIRST off that is WAYYYY too mauch cranberry juice.... Second, you put 2 different types orange liquor in there and roses lime juice is not a cordial. and lastly, you need to put more than 1/2 ounce in a cosmo..... k thanx
it is called a berg system... it automatically pours and shuts off. theres a button behind the bar to tell it to pour either half an ounce or an ounce... all the way up to 4 ounces i believe.
I agree with a lot of people here; too much cranberry. The bar owner will kill you for wasting alcohol, especially when the alcohol is grand marnier, haha.
Again, you should NOT be teaching people how to make drinks.
triple sec and grand manier are both orange liqueur.. why would u put 1 ounce of orange liqueur and 1/2 ounce of vodka..? and the cranberry juice.. WTF...? where the hell is this bar? should totally burn it down!!!
Hahahaha and she doesn't even know how to shake the boston properly. 2 oz(60ml) cranberry at the most, plus a cosmo has to be double strained and the martini glass is NEVER topped up to the top.
Why in the hell would you introduce an orange brandy into a drink that's supposed be basically be a vodka sour variation? Grand Marnier? Seriously... I agree with rdreier's recipe.
haha i love the bar tending wars goin on here...cosmo's are varied world wide, the only things i totally disagree with are her use of grand marnier ( where the fuck did that come from), too much cranberry, always fresh lime vs. lime cordial, and i also have a problem with how fuckin boring this chick makes bar tending seem!
Ya everyone is dif. I was taught 1 1/2 0z. vodka 1/2 cointreau (top-shelf triple sec) a splash of lime juice just enough cranberry to turn it pink and a lime wedge. but i never add water to chill because then you cant re-use that ice. just ends up saving me a trip to the ice machine on a busy night
its pretty obvious this girl has no idea what shes doing behind the wood... its pretty funny how everyone has a different idea of what a cosmo is. i always use (rail cosmo)
You guys don't know shit, neither does the video..the glass chilling is correct, 1 oz Vodka 1/2 oz triple 1/2 oz lime 3/4 oz cranberry.....its a fancy cranberry Kamikaze....never add flavored vodkas( citron etc.) unless requested by the guest....
Well then I'd use ice instead of water, why? Looks more professional and afterwards you can use the ice in the shaker, if the drink is sposed to be shaken!
Possibly the worst recipe for a Cosmopolitan I have ever come across. The Cosmopolitan was re-interpreted from an old 1950's recipe from san francisco by Cheryl Cook, and later the better known version by Tony Cechini of the Odeon. A Decent version of the recipe calls for 1.5 ounces of Absolut Citron, 1 ounce of Cointreau, 1/2 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice and 1/2 ounce of cranberry juice. If you like you can add some sugar syrup to sweeten it up, but no more than 1/4 of an ounce.

omgsh to much cranberry and u dont usse grand mariner its a sub if u need it and if u use it use the right ammount
changgooey 3 years ago 5
@changgooey Grandma would be a less common ingredient in almost any bar. You're much more likely to see a bar use Cointreau.

grand marnier is used to make the cosmo gold...you can use blue curacao instead of triple sec as well to make it purple.

Never heard such thing.
