The thing with Yumi is that she makes the game easier. For example, if you run into certain monkeys, they will freeze, infatuated by their favorite pop-star, allowing her to simply catch them with ease. Her transformations are cool looking too.

i swear to bob, these kids in this game are too damn spoiled. last time i checked you do NOT need all that stuff in a warp room just to catch a million monkeys... the crap in ape escape 2 was better.

@katieducks hate to rain on your parade...but i perfer the first...where you didnt have all those morphs and the puzzles were ACTUALLY challenging...at least make me ponder for 2 seconds...and the first astcually had a storyline unlike this one...its basically number 2 all over again...sorry for disappointing ya just my opinion

When I was looking at the intro I was wondering to myself what happened to Jimmy and Spike and what happened to them is hilarious. It's weird how Natalie's voice changed in every game. Yumi's voice sounds like it can get annoying after awhile.

I play as Kei (Saturu on my European ver) because Yumi (Sayaka on Euro ver) voice is really horrible.

The upside of it is some Monkeys actually stop and become star struck if Sayaka comes near, so I'd say she does have her uses lol.

Natalie (Natsumi on European ver) voice stays the same in the AE series in European, Seriously, the European version is hell of alot better that the american.
