@pikashipper4eva Well, maybe I should rephrase that. xD It's true that Haruhi's just a psycho with character flaws that seemingly can't be explained. However, I personally think those flaws are the tumultuous result of Haruhi's discovery of how ordinary the world is....and yes, her flaws did go way out of control. Still, I felt that as the novels progressed that her eccentricity toned down a bit and her better qualities started to become more accentuated. That's just my interpretation, though.

the problem is that the series is so clever, you can't help but take it realistically...which is a problem considering that the characters are all drawn from anime stock types :/ Haruhi's personality has got to be one of the most abrasive I've seen and I'd sympathize with her if she had some sort of back-story...but she doesn't and her behavior isn't justified, so like you, I'd rather have Kyon not become her boy-pet XD

If you need more proof then you should read the translations of the novel's. I've read them all and I have a good idea of what's going on and everyone's feelings to each other.

yes she is madly in love with him. but he is not; there is absolutely no canonical proof in the light novels, all of which I have read by the way, and unless there is something in the newly released novels which have not been translated yet that I haven't been updated on, there remains no proof from Kyon's side. the real reason he puts up with her is because he loves the adventures!

see, I didn't know that! (did you get to read the novel or is that just a spoiler?) but that still doesn't prove he loves her romantically, any good friend would do that for someone close to them! see, the novels are narrated from a biased perspective and it's clear that the author has set up Kyon to have a harem of sorts, so I personally won't believe anything until there's a clear confession on Kyon's part :P

as for Mikuru, she just doesn't want to get with Kyon because Haruhi will get jealous

There are hints showing that Mikuru returns to her own time after high school but it's official that Haruhi and Kyon go to the same college university. I don't know it's just that I won't believe that Kyon doesn't love Haruhi. It's just part of the story that the author himself said he doesn't know how he should put Kyon's and Haruhi's relations together.

in an episode she tells that she hasn't any emotions, and that she's because of that unafected by time. [so if the time repeats, everyone's memories erase, but hers won't] but!!... in her eyes u can sometimes see or she has fun or not, but that's the only way u can see it :P [she has no smile or anything like that] :P
