what you really need is a shrink to help you discover why you think you need to outdo everyone else's lawn. But for now you might try doing your lawn at 22.5 degrees as well, lol.

i like my toro groundsmaster 322D better... even though its a golf course mower i threw on a 72" guardian recycler deck and it cuts like a dream

@MsBmx25 you want to mow in a cross and up\down side\side, so 4 weeks in the month and 4 different patterns, you need a roller behind the mower deck to lay the grass over to make a nice stripe. If you want to make it look really nice you can mow the same way twice or both cross and up\down side\side. Mow strait!

I've been in the Landscape industry for 25 plus year used many mowers and the one I really like is a Walker makes the best strait lines second favorite is a 50inch cut Bunton fast and leaves a nice cut.

walkers give a really nice cut, but they are too small, plus I find them uncomfortable to use for extended periods

Aww :( Why do people like lawns? :( They destroy habitat for animals and trees. (those trees look odd, placed at a certain distance from each other). It's sad. And cutting the grass pollutes our planet. Neatness is the destruction of wildlife.

I do lawns and it really is not healthy to mow your lawn the same way every time. I use gang reel mowers and they are the best cut. Ventrac looks cool and does a decent job.

@zjbeast You are correct that it is not always the best for your lawn to continually do it the same direction, but if you look at the video, I think he actually does it 3 or 4 different directions (not in this video obviously.) I believe he does fertilize and aeravate his lawn so I don't think he has any issues with a healthy lawn :) Wish my lawn was this nice!
