A truly touching video ~ thank you for sharing it. My daughter is 22 (first baby)and due soon, we found out a few weeks ago that she will be born with DS and AV heart defect. I am trying to learn all that I can.
My advise...be your granddaughter's biggest advocate,no one will fight harder for her then you.Get involved with your local DS Association they can point you in the right direction.Talk to other parents and grandparents who have children with DS they can tell you what worked for them. You will find there is a lot of help and support when you get to know these families.Research your doctors(state board of medicine)interview them.Nobody will know your child better then you, trust your instinct.
this video made me cry at first when he got his surgery but then i realized that he will have a beautiful life with a loving family that will do anything for him
I saw this for the 1st time this evening and just thought it was wonderful! What a lucky family to have such an angel and I am willing to bet Gage's big brother is pretty awesome as well!
Gage is one courageous boy. It's truly amazing how a small baby can endure and overcome such intensive health complications and surgeries. The strength babies have is tremendous! To Gage and his family, it only gets better from here! You will live a life of dignity and happiness! God Bless!
I have a 41 year old brother with Down's. He holds down a job, and lives on his own..he's doing great! I can tell you from my own experience, that your son will bring you more joy than you can ever imagine! God bless you and your family!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your little boy looks like he is a real trooper.Watching this video give me so much hope. My Baby Girl, Jade, is about to make a year and also has a complete av canal. She is due to have the surgery when she is at least 16lbs. right now she is about 12lbs. Thank you for this wonder video
Your son is so adorable i cry=) I have a babygirl whit downs syndrom, Stella. She is 18 month. A downs kid is a great gift! Alot of happy times and alot of joy!
what a cute little baby. Even cuter when he wears his glasses... they look so adorable on him. Does he keep them on all the time or does he like to take them off?
Beautiful, inspirational, he is a blessing and and angel from heaven! Good luck and can't wait to see him grow! God bless all of you! Gage looks like he has a great big brother and wonderful parents! In love and light!~Annmarie
He is an angel, and you are so blessed I am a mother of a 9 months old little girl, who also has dowm syndrome. And she is the most loving baby that i have met. May God bless you all,
Gage is beautiful and so is your family! My son is ten months old and he also has down syndrome. He had his heart surgery when he was 4 months old. So I understand the trials you have been through this past year, congratulations, and I loved the video. Thank you for sharing it.

No, he's always pulling them off! Hopefully we can get him to leave them alone soon...he sees so much better when he has them on :-)
