  • If i ever get a pet fox, I hope he or she will be as playful and affectionate as yours :)

  • no top comment?? ok then... TO THA TOP!

  • 0:36 HE"S SOOOOOO FREAKING ADORABLE

  • I'm pretty surprised that foxes can be so affectionate/amiable :D

  • do u shower him?

  • @misslauravu

no, foxes have naturally clean fur, and the even groom themselves somewhat... Their fur stays very clean and good smelling, compared to most dogs.

  • your ron ron is the most beautiful one! :) i love his tail!!!!

  • The words troll face definitely came to mind when I watched this.

  • where do u get a fox for a pet? what stores sell foxes? but i want one!! ^^

  • @tzbx6dch

lol... I have gotz info on my profile btw...

  • @foxalbiazul sorry to bother u again lol but do u know any sites i can check out about owning a fox and like the states bc every site i visit has nothing... :(

  • :O IS THAT A FOX????

  • also im thinking about getting a male... what do you think of the name "Renard la Rouge" - French translation - Fox of Red(literal) what do you think?

  • @Seabeaux13

awww, neat! XD extra points for originality :3

  • do red foxes shed a lot?

  • @Seabeaux13

very much! like, twice a year, when changing back and forth between winter and summer coats...

  • Ooh listen to those cute foxie noises! He just loves you so much. :P

  • @Kyubimoriko

ooh the foxii noises, they buuuuurn! The cuteness, it hurts!! XD

  • The energetic behavior reminds me about my Husky pup xP

    Sweet.

  • sooooooo cuuuutttttteeeeee

  • He has beautiful brown eyes :O Also so fluffy :) And makes adorable sounds :) Hope you guys have a happy new year :D! Later :D

  • @miles305678

eee!! thank u's !! *hugs hugs*

  • This has to be my favorite video so far from you guys, I just love how excited Ron is! You're so awesome, not only for having a pet fox, but for being a proud furry too. You've inspired me to want to get an exotic pet of my own someday. Maybe of my own furry species, but somehow I don't think there's too many red wolves for sale.

But back to RonRon, how do you resist hugging and cuddling him? I can only see him through my screen, and I can barely stop myself. XD He's just so fluffy!

  • @redwulf777

    aww, thank you!! *hugshugs*

hehe, the closest I get to cuddling him, is when I first come home, and he lets me grab his neck and jaw with both hands and firmly massage the backmost part of his jaw, where it hinges... I need to get a vid of that, using the tripod...

  • @foxalbiazul from showning my mom ron were getting one to yay!!

  • That....is beyond cute. Foxes are adorable creatures :)

  • Awww RonRon has stolen my heart! He's sooo adorable! His fur looks really soft and fluffy, especially his tail. Can you pleaaaseee give him extra snuggles, cuddles, and love for me? D: I want a lil' foxie now, but I already have plenty babies: two dogs, three cats, and a sweet little rat! I bet you snuggle and cuddle RonRon off cam, don'tcha? x3

  • @TheWolfiePaw

    XD

I give him all the scritches he'll take! He absolutely never wants to be snuggled or cuddled, but he looooves getting petted around the neck and on the back of the head and shoulders!!

  • was he purring? or was that the camera...if he was i love foxes so much, they're like a mix of cats and dogs, but way cuter than both x3

  • @coolcrazyman

that noise which is consistent throughout the entire video, was just the camera noise my Kodak makes...

  • @foxalbiazul aw lol still x3

  • aww so sweet, this must be your best buddy huh!

  • oh. my. bob. this absolutely OOZES cuteness!!!! <3

  • @TheThistlebird

    XD indeed

  • @foxalbiazul How do you bathe him?

  • @WolfTigerHyena

no need to... he seems to keep his fur very clean on his own, like they do in the wild.

  • 8 minutes of affection...dang!

  • Get him a playbuddy.

  • Awwww Ronron <3 he's too cute!

  • It's satisfying to know that I'm not the only person that acts like a hyper child with autosadistic tendencies around adorable things.

  • @OfficerNelson

    xD yep

  • Soo cute!!!

  • everytime i watch these vids i die of cuteness and hug wanting

  • @kageroninja

    awww.. *hugs*

  • @foxalbiazul Just wondering, what does he eat?

  • @bulldoggin12

dog food is all that's really needed... I use Blue Buffalo Wilderness, since its best to have a very high protein level.

  • what is that noise? is that the fox? he sounds like a baby. awwwwwwwwwwww...

  • @HKMP5BUYER

a lot more than a normal dog... since they have such a thick coat, and they change it out twice a year!

  • @foxalbiazul

To be fair, everything with hair sheds to some degree.

    Yes, even humans.

  • is that Ron or a Baby i hear? O.o it sounds like crying but i think its ron xD

  • When I first saw one of your videos my initial reaction was "That is so cruel". However... It didn't take me long to realise that your buddy loves you to bits! In the UK foxes are portrayed as villains and persecuted but this little guy is loved, cared for, stimulated, protected and from the looks of things could not be happier. I apologise for prejudging and would like to thank you for providing this insight into the fox that so few of us get to see.

  • @DonkeyOaty

In fact, foxes are legally allowed as pets in the UK also. See "TheFlashmans" here on youtube ;)

  • it looks like he's wearing black socks!

  • is it sociable when out in public?

  • @hatsoff456

no. most foxes are scared of strangers, but are very loving and affectionate to their near and dear 'person'.

  • my cat bites me like that, even when shes happy and just being playful. Is there a similar relation with Ron? Do the cat books have a training method to stop that?

Btw adorable fox, I wish I had one, theyre like a dog and cat combined ^^

  • @Feilaevarin

yeah, but what you see here is very gentle... does not hurt a bit... it's the equivalent of 'holding hands' for humans, in foxish!

  • @foxalbiazul Yea my cat NEVER bites to hurt me, just to play(holding my finger in her teeth), but I still don't think it is polite(not really an acceptable behavior for friends who don't realize she wont hurt them), and I wonder if there is a way to train them not to do that :P

  • @foxalbiazul umm do you know how long they live about? im curious.

  • @DrJowenz

    as pets, over 10 years!

sadly, in the wild, most only live 2-3 years... due to predators/humans, and disease/hunger.

  • @foxalbiazul shame about the ones in the wild but thanks for the info :D

  • That's EXACTLY like my puppy, he loves to chew on my fingers

  • Rons all like 'They're my fingers damnit! :0 omnomnomnom'

  • @bloodierain

ur right! If you look closely, you'll see he's bitten "property of Ron" into each of my/his fingers, lol

  • Gorgeous!

  • Is it not true that the common red fox is intelligent enough to 'get lost in its thoughts', or daydream? I ask because it would explain the moments he goes kind of blank.

  • @RyleyAshford

Well, even domestic dogs 'dream' when asleep at least, you can see them 'running' in their dreams, or softly barking or whining...

If only I knew what he was thinking ;)

  • @Mephilesdude05

lol, no; he is a real fox, pure vulpes vulpes...

Foxes cannot breed with any other species.

A pet fox is captive born, and hand-raised to tame him/her, but alot of the taming is just you handling, petting, luving on him/her.

  • so did u get ron as a puppy or as an adult?

  • @chamochalk

You really have to get a baby, to raise as a tame animal, to bond with at an early age.

Mine was 6 weeks old when I picked him up at the breeder's.

  • I wish I could pet a FOX.There are quite a few in my neighborhood.I love to see them.

  • lol, you would be a furry

  • @someamerican

I sure would be, and iz! :-P

  • @foxalbiazul DAMN STRAIGHT.

  • @RyleyAshford

... and proud of itz :-P

  • I couldn;t tell sometimes if he was purring or my cat behind my laptop screen. lol

  • how do you train a fox? have you ever been afraid on him actually biting you?

  • @KneeTV

There is very little that they can be 'trained' to do easily... easiest is to litter box train... they just love litter!!

You should Never get a pet fox is you're afraid of getting bit... exotic pets bite. Period.

Now with a fox, bites are just a little nuisance, like getting a paper cut... nothing dangerous.

  • where do you get one

  • @montykill

directly from a special pet breeder, see my profile...

  • DAWW! :D

  • too funny, foxes are such boneheads.

  • i loved the beginning when he was just flicking his tail in every direction. that must be the sign that hes excited!

  • @BAvideos41

;) just like dogs, they move their tail around to show excitement, and in other cases, hostility. Here he obviously is so very happy to see meh!!

  • Man, I really do want a pet Kitsune!

Does he ever jump in bed with you and take a nap?

    ADT

  • @amourdutigre

err, him jumping on me in bed when he was quite young was what made me close him out... Him pouncing on my tummy kept me awake!!

  • When he's holding your finger in his mouth, is he actually applying any pressure? or is it merely enough to stop your finger from moving?

I just imagine that with those teeth it wouldn't take much pressure to hurt the finger hehe.

    So cute though

  • @o0bastard0o

It's enough pressure to stop my finger from moving in his mouth, yes, but he also will 'bite' down a little more off and on when holding my hand, so the pressure does increase, at the worst, it's only like a brother or sister pinching you...

He has drawn blood on several occasions but never in the circumstance depicted in this vid... the times he bit through the skin are like when putting his collar on, for example, for when sticking a finger through the fence into his room.

  • It's funny how he acts so much like a dog.

  • @JordanoDaMano That's because a fox is a dog, just a an interesting variation of dog!

  • he sure likes to nom nom you

  • @Theslywaffle

    I'm nomnomilicious!!

  • Thank you for that :)

  • I couldn't just ask a question and not say how adorable, sweet, and pretty he is.

    Love love love..

  • Hey Foxal, I've been looking into what it would take to own a pet fox in Virginia, with my thoughts confirmed on your research that foxes are legal in VA.. I just have one question.

There seems to be a few breeds you can and can't own here, for example, if I were to get one of the russian Silver foxes that Sibfox is selling, I could own him with little paperwork, whereas the Fennec is outright illegal.

I was wondering if the laws you came across for VA pertained to Red foxes?

  • for VA,

"The following animals are defined as domestic animals: ...

Domesticated races of red fox (Vulpes) where their coat color can be distinguished from wild red fox. " - Virginia Administrative Code

The silver fox and the cross fox are classified as domestic so you can have them as pets. The Fennec fox and the Arctic fox are on our "NO" List so you cannot possess them. The gray fox is native to Virginia and you cannot possess that one either. There is no permit required.

  • @foxalbiazul do you had a dad?

  • @1MisterAaron

    what!? O__O blank stare...

  • @foxalbiazul what's fox's name called a again?

  • @1MisterAaron

His name is Ron. Short for Ronald "Weasley" Mason (I'm Eric Mason)... ;)

  • btw Albiazul:

been meaning to ask if you might know:

is it true vixens are often more 'agreesive' than the males would be? been wondering as i do hope to look into getting a pet fox one day, but i also want to make sure i'd get the gender that'd be more playful and lovable over mean and snappy :P (like how Ron here is such a sweety)

thanks for any info you might be able to give man :)

  • Not really, from what I hear from other pet fox owners on Sybil's forum (see link on my profile). Practically no behavioral diff between males and female foxes.

The playful/loveing/mean/snappy variables simply differ between Individual foxes.... each one has its own personality. But thw amount of time you spend with/handling the fox when young makes the most impact. You must be the one the fox bonds with. (and not with your other pets, etc)

  • gotcha :)

so treat the foxy like i would most kritters with raising and bonding to help 'educate a bond' kinda thing :)

  • So cute. Makes me wanna fucking puke. Really. Its so cute to see how animals try bond with people when people try and bond with animals.

That little rascal would probably take a bullet for you.

  • god, his smile at about :35...you can tell he's one happy foxy :)

pass on a hug for me next time you boys get to any bonding time again :) (really jealous of the cutie getting to bond with a loving friend and owner like you man :) cant wait to get the same when i get my own pet again^^)

  • did it hurt at 0:54 ? that seems painfull.....

  • No, it does not hurt at all, what you are seeing here.... when I start chasing him around the room and we're more active it can hurt, but he won't make me bleed (at worst, it's like your sister pinching you, nothing more)

  • ron ron roo!

  • He's so cute :O stunning creature !!! He looks like he REALLY loves ya :O tell me man, did he do all of the breakings and diggings on the floor ? if he did , He must be really good with destroying stuff haha !

  • oh yes, that's why he can only be in 1 room of the house now, after all the destruction in the rest of the house! But I knew that, going into the pet fox experience, I wanted to give him a 'try' at being a regular indoor pet, but, proving not to be the case, I'm in the middle of building the huge outdoor pen he'll be in most of the time!

  • i just LOVE watching that tail of his move! its so...hypnotic O.O and it looks so soft and Fluffy! i just want to hug it! :D

  • so...hypnotic, yes! it just draaaaws me in, and oooh fluffiness!... But then Ron is like "hey, respect the Tail, man...respect the Tail"

  • Whoa! What sharp teeth he has!

    Beautiful, beautiful creature.

  • Aww 6:52 he's like, "That's the spot. ^w^"

    Heehee

  • Wow he's so adorable! My friend's say my personality is exactly like a fox, but they were my favorite animal long before that.

He loves you very much to flip on his back for you, that's a HUGE sign of respect! :D

  • do you happen to know of anywhere where i can find information about legally owning a fox? like if i need to get a license for it, and if so what the test is like, etc. as well as general hassles and problems that you may run into when owning a fox.

im planning on getting one when im older, and i wanna see what im getting myself into haha. thanks in advance

  • THE place for you is Sybil's Message Board (google it, or use the link on my profile)

There you have many many posts of state laws on exotic pets like foxes, and dozens of real fox owners you can ask questions, and read their stories, the good and the bad!

On my profile, go to my DeviantArt site to see my journals there, you'll see a post with state laws about pet foxes.

  • @foxalbiazul

    thank you

  • Too cute!

  • What a cutie! He looks great! You can tell you take care of him.

  • Is that a rare black fox?

  • well, he is a red fox, and what people call a rare 'black' fox is actually a color phase of the red fox, just the red fox's 'silver' phase with more black hairs than most of the silvers. Red foxes come in color phases such as marble, cross, pearl, platinum, white mark, and many more and many combinations of those phases...

see on my profile, the breeder named "Tiny Tracks Exotic Animals", they have many red fox color phase pictures, a couple are silvers (aka 'black')

  • he is little and i love the big ears and bushy tail. oh he is just beautiful. i saw one when i lived in glasgow. the fox was little. he sees and avoid me. it was dark i didnt get a good look at it. there are many foxes right in UK very close to human suburds. i lived in the city center then. so i missed out on seeing them more often!

  • So beautiful, my favorite creature in the world.

    Great vid ^^

  • Mine too! ^w^

  • so cute...but it seems to me your house has taken a lot of damage from him..

  • well, this is one room he has to himself, in which he can do as he pleases... he did not work out as an indoor pet, so soon he will be living in the large outdoor kennel I am in the middle of building (just cleared the area of trees/bushes last weekend)

Some people have foxes running around indoors without major damage, but those people usually also have an outdoor area the fox can run out to through a doggy door as it pleases, and that seems to reduce destructive behavior

  • Bless you! jaja

    So lovely xP

  • i [] ur fox so much :D

i love that much i want him as my own

  • i love your foxie sooooo much <3
