  • I have sooooo much respect for you.. And my name is Erika as well! I have excess skin and I'm still fighting it every daY!

  • (continued:) stick with it and stay positive!

Let me know if I can be of anymore assistance!

  • (continued:) to go the nutritional route!

You could start by googling Dr. Joel Fuhrman & his book Eat To Live. That book alone could change everything for you!

Another one that I absolutely LOVE, is Unprocessed by Chef A.J. You can google her, too. She overcame many health issues, including anorexia & obesity by eating a plant-based, whole-foods diet.

You can do this! Even without the surgery! I can tell you love yourself enough to want to help yourself. That's a good step- you've got to stic

  • I wish I could give you a big hug! You are a beautiful, sincere person, and I hate seeing you disgusted with yourself. You are not disgusting. Obviously you are not at a healthy weight, but fortunately you've been lucky enough to avoid medial issues. You are still young, and you have time to change and turn around.

I am working on becoming a holistic nutrition coach, as health & nutrition are my obsessions. So, I have learned so much information that could really help you if you are willing to

  • It's really good that you would share that with everyone thank you

  • I love how honest you are you truly deserve many good things in life -3 love all your videos

  • your honesty is the best thing i ever heard i wish i had your courage!!! you're amazing!

  • The THING that wrote "you'd pretty much know if you'd have been molested" does't know what is talking about and If you were then, today you are a very pretty lady going on a road that will make you even more pretty. I'll be waiting for news.

  • you'd pretty much know if you'd have been molested.

  • I just want to say that you seem like an amazing person! I'm getting the lap-band done in a week and a half and your video is quite the inspiration because it truly feels like there are more people out there like me. You've got a lot of courage and I feel honored to be on the same "team" (like lap-band journey-ers) as you! Just wanted to throw that out there!

  • Oh my goodness, sweat, handicapped loos, yes. I hear you. It's horrible isn't it? I'm fed up with it too, finally reached that point where I've had enough. I want to fit in normal chairs, airplane and cinema seats, put socks on without a ten minute warm up and psyching myself up, cut my toenails without a block and tackle and ambulance on standby. Libido loss, yes, lol but I don't mind (I'm old now though, would rather read a book). What an exceptional, honest, young woman you are.

  • very pretty girl

  • I hope you choose not to get a lapband in the end. I hope you decide to do it on your own instead. It's a long journey, but worth the many benefits.

  • @Ineedmorelives I concur I did it and I feel it is the worst thing I ever did in my life.

  • You are a great person. I love honest people. You will get to where you want to be. Take care, Cindy

  • We are all in this together. & I think you are beautiful! Being fat doesn't make you ugly, we all struggle with this.

  • Thanks for posting this video. You're a serious champ!!!! Much love from Chicago.

  • lov ya sis hope youre ok , keep goin. Youre a motivation

  • I wish you the best! Keep up the good work!

  • you should be very proud of yourself we share similar stories I will be getting my surgery date on the 26th this Jan your inn my thoughts

  • Well you are very attractive, I don’t like many skinny girls. But for your health alone you should keep up the fight. The story is touching. I hear the sex drive is less If you are overweight. But some may be from felling unpretty. With you I would never think you should feel bad.

  • Ive recently lost 51lbs- im not where I want to be yet- but sex drive has increased, energy levels are way up, and I feel like a million bucks! Your so honest genuine, I love your candid video.

  • You are beautiful!

  • This is not a ridiculous video... This is your coming to terms with everything that you have been dealing with. Think out it as a good bye to all of those things. I noticed the date that you up loaded this video was July 26, 2011.... 4 days after I was banded...

Libbido... The more weight you lose the more confident you will become and your sex drive will increase.... DRASTICALLY.... your bf won't know what hit him... :)

  • I have ripped my pants like that before, you are beautiful sweetie, but if it is for health reasons i understand

  • HI Erika dont be so hard on yourself your young enough, intelligent, brave and savy enough to do something about whats making you unhappy. `As for the labido thing mines up and down dont think its to do with your weight its to do with your lover and whether he appreciates your beauty if not get soemone else take care , x

  • why worry, your still dateable

  • I'm glad you shared this. I so can relate to every everything you are saying. Thank you!

  • Good luck, sweetheart! I am weighting..I don't know, maybe 200lbs. I need to loose, at least, 50lbs. I am changing all my bad habits and trying.. But I know I will be successful. I don't have a boyfriend but maybe the "libido problem" is in your head. You may be embarrassed or something like that. Keep working hard. Greetings from Brazil.

  • Libido does improve with weight loss. I lost 4 stone, 56lbs, and my periods returned and my libido improved. Not necessarily the weight loss per se, but perhaps the foods I am now eating, such as avocados and nuts and fresh fruit and veg, salmon ect. All the foods that are super high in nutrients meant that my body started working properly. I still need to lose 28 lbs, but you'll feel the difference even if you have more to lose. Good luck. x x x

  • I think you are AWESOME and I know how you feel. I hate the way I look too. ): You are definitely much more *braver than I am. I look up to you. Please accept my friend request. xoxox

  • Good luck on your weight loss journey. I kinda understand where you are coming from, I used to weigh 285 lbs at my heaviest and currently weigh 180 lbs. I lost my weight after going through a series of steps, first deep reflection, then I bought a bike and started at 1 mile a day, now up to 10 miles a day. then I stopped eating fast food, then processed food. It takes awhile to get there but you can be healthy and happy with your body. Keep up the good work! Yes, your libdio will improve!

  • @fluffypinkandmoist Inspiring :)

  • You are beautiful and very courageous !

  • You are so wonderful honey!!!!

  • honey you are a beautiful courageous woman. I wish you the best of luck with your life xoxo

I'm going to continue to follow your journey and support where I can! Love love love this video!

  • This is crazy that you could admit these things on here... I'm waiting for my approval right now... And having thin fantasies!

  • How old are you?

  • Your beautiful, for being honest, for trying to battle your weight problem, and for not giving up on having the RIGHT to a happy and healthy life.

  • I just had a gastri bypass I know exactly what you are going thru all I gotta say is "Don't look back" even though its all alot of pain and changes in your life just look to the future

  • I love your honesty...And I feel your pain, cause Im still living it. Good luck on your surgery!!

  • Not ridiculous at all, this was such a raw truthful look. Man this took a lot of courage and you are so strong. You are simply Amazing!!!

  • wow you brought tears to my eyes! you are such a beautiful and strong woman, I can't wait until you get your band!

  • Sweety, I love you! And here's another truth for you- you are a beautiful woman and we will go through this together. Be strong. Thank you so much for your honesty but promise that your past will not define your future. I have a plan for one of our milestones too! I'll private message you. Have a beautiful day girl!

  • It is so hard to dig down deep and find the reasons behind our overeating or bad habits, and it takes a STRONG person to admit these things and work on them. You are in my thoughts/prayers and you have my support. We all gotta face those demons in our closets and you are addressing it. Very proud of you.

  • Thank you for being so raw and open - you will inspire others to do the same. Your courage is amazing and so are you! Being honest with ourselves and others helps us to move forward. I have to echo what others have said - you will feel so good when you look back and see how far you've come. KEEP THOSE JEANS!!!

  • I am glad you came out and were so honest with all of us. Keep digging to find your answers that will lead you along the path of recovery.

YT was my secret from my "real" life family as well but somehow they found out... It was embarrassing but I got over it. lol

  • Thank you for being so honest and candid with us. You made me tear up. I feel your pain but I am excited for you and hope that someday you will look back on this video and see how far you've come. You have the power to become who you are. I believe in you :)

  • Thank you for sharing your truth. You will look back on this video and be amazed at where you came from. Save those jeans forever. You are going to have a long story to share!
