well, he's just showing some common situations that can arise with certain cards where u may get into trouble. Unless you haven't been paying attention at all, you'll have at least a range of cards your opponent may have.
@AlausBaronas JTs does make the most nut straights statistically, but making the nuts doesn't happen so often and if you do, it's generally quite obvious so you're unlikely to win huge pots from it unless you're up against bad players. That's why, especially when deep stacked, hands like 65s and small pocket pairs are generally preferable as they're much more deceptive if they make a big hand.

A-K suited isnt really a suited connector, because it can only make a Gut-Shot.
