i got my tattoo yesterday and they gave me a little paper on how to take care of it and it says to make sure that all the old ointment is off before applying new ointment but when i clean it i cant get the old ointment off how can i do this without ruining the tattoo

@kottonmouthjuggalo23 dont b soft with it, use the palm of ur hand and pretty much wash it like normal. It feels weird at first but trust me it works.

use warm water, not too hot, nor too cold and liquid anti-bacterial soap to clean. use a&d lotion for three days, a very thin layer, after that hand lotion, un-scented an massage into tatoo area, then let heal on its own after a week doing that.

Bar soap harbors bacteria. DO NOT USE. Liquid soap that is fragrance-free and colorless needs to be used on healing tattoos.
