  • I also have this original recording and the phonograph it's played on. I found it in my great-Grandfathers record collection in his dusty attic. It's even in decent condition. How much is it worth? I may even want to donate it if it's worth it.

  • How old is this recording and how old was Edison at the time?

  • It was reportedly recorded in December 1918, and was released in 1919. Edison was 71 years old.

  • This came from the collection of George Frow in England. He bought it from the original owner in the 1950s, I'm the third owner in 100 years.

    It is pictured in several books, including Frow's "Edison Cylinder Phonograph Companion."

  • well ok but the one from the man is also in books he sold it not knowing how rare it was but he does now he has ton of these machines im 12 and i have a model F standard and a charmophone

  • Did this record was released as a Diamond Disc format? I remember seeing the Diamond Disc played in Edison Museum (in Korea)...

  • Yes, this recording was issued both on Blue Amberol cyinder and Diamond Disc.
