I wasn't aware of this drug until it became illegal throughout Europe in December 2010. I think that 7-8 months between it becoming illegal in the UK in April, but not until December for the EU is quite bad. I think attitudes towards drugs in the UK are much stricter, but rightly so.
I think that peer pressure to take drugs at parties is also a problem in Germany, as mentioned in the video. Attitudes towards different drug usage in Germany is as frowned upon as in the UK too.
Good work. I found the comments about how it didn't seem threatening due to a little brightly coloured lettering striking. Its easy to think that because something is legal and presented in a certain way that is doesn't carry any risks.
Hi :) I'm currently living in California USA and I work with youth in the greater Los Angeles area. Good film about the problems of Mephedrone and drug abuse whether in Wales or communities here. I found the most unsettling here the reminder that "friends" handing you a strange bag of a substance marked with "meow" is so easily considered safe to take. Good job! xxx
An eye opening video! I personally did not know about Mephadrone before and have learned something. It was interesting to see the different attitudes of the interviewees. Living in Belgium I find that drugs seem to be less of a problem than in the UK, but this could of course just be appearances.
