i think they're bringing out a gps module for the 960, ive been wanting this phone for a month or two now. I'd much rather a sony as opposed to a nokia, but by all means give me evidence the n95-2 is better and i may reconsider.

Yes they probably will, as they did with the P1i. In any case it should not be a problem to connect a bluetooth GPS module to the w960 and use a 3rd party software.

I'll write a review during the holidays on both the n95-2 and the w960 and probably throw in some youtube clips showing what I mean.

If you wanna pay 600 euros, then go for the N95 8GB, if you wanna pay less, choose the Sony Ericsson W960.

For the rest of you - I'm holding both phones in my hand right now and I can guarantee the N95 8GB is much better than the W960. Of course it lacks the touchscreen, but the w960 lacks a GPS. If you also add it's slower and that the interface still needs some work - well then the choice is obvious at least for me. Theres of course another issue here, which is money.

no not really, you must be very mislead...? The n95 8GB (the 2nd n95 version) is much much better than the w960... The w960 is slow and dumb compared to the n95-2... I'll write a review on my site very soon.

Because US uses different frequencies, it's more like US will use the WiMax system which should arrive soon enough. (no phones support that as of yet though).

this phone is built for 3G, which you dont have in the US. That means you wont be able to download data as fast as in Europe... Other than that, it'll work perfect.
