  • If Andy let everyone down, how come to this day he is still loved by so many fans around the world ??? He had a problem with drugs and only because he was at celebrity status that the person is calling him cokehead.. butt how many other people that arent celebrities are cokeheads??? Millions....LEAVE ANDY ALONE...

  • Hopefully by the time his life was in real trouble. Most of his fans should have been adult enough to be over their selves enough to say wait a minute this great guy is in real trouble he needs help love support. He is real just like me who knows maybe some of this negative crap went out to fan mags while he was alive.Thank God there was no such thing as internet then.I cried for 3 weeks when he died.again when behind the music came out my mom cried with me shes gone now not an addict prescribed./

  • lol... @1:42 ish: "... and so and therefore..." You don't hear that often. OK, so she's pregnant, the hormones are going, and then there's Andy Gibb. I'd had done much worse, "...and so and therefore, in other words never-the-less and without a doubt..."

  • Was Joan dressed to appear in a gospel revival?

  • @TheCatholicFaithfu I think Joan was actually pregnant at this time. I remember seeing this back then and I think this was around the time she was pregnant.

  • @Eightiesgirl46 So maybe that's why she was inspired to join a baptist choir? (Joking)

  • I Beliewe This Was A Video Clip Of ABC News' Good Morning America's Entertainment News' Report On Interview With Andy Gibb On Friday Morning, December 3, 1982.

  • #2 Interview. Joan is really irritating me when she tries bringing up dirty laundry. C'MON, a Lesser man wouldn't come back for a 2nd interview.

In fact, most men in general, and stars of today have SCRIPTED questions because they can't handle the truth, and drugged up during interviews.

Andy was a REAL MAN who gave his everything. a RARE breed, and I wish I could've met him, or been his wife :)

  • Missing Andy alot lately. What a beautiful, beautiful person he was! Wish you were here.

  • Agreed, Eightiesgirl, bravo for saying that! and you too, beatlejuice! Imagine Andy's reaction to the likes of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber?!! wow! If only he could see this! he'd be upset beyond belief! Music in '82 and '83 was heaven compared to nowadays' rubbish. Music is RUBBISH now. Oh my !! I miss Andy xxxxx

  • He says "The recording business is going downhill at the moment..." Oh Andy, you have no idea. If you thought it was going downhill in 1982, you ought to see it now.

  • @beatlejuice72 You can say that again. Andy would not even recoginize some of this stuff that they call "music "now. Andy had true talent and the good looks, not like some of these made up singers/artists of today! Ugh!

  • Andy was right, he has kept his fans....even 22+ yrs. since his death, he still has a lot of fans that still love him and wish he were here. Sure he had his problems but then again anyone who is honest will admit that they do too. Thanks for all the wonderful music and memories Andy, we love you and miss you!!

  • @Eightiesgirl46 Yay - great comment! I agree! Andy's fans are still with him over all these years -- and even more fans have since "found" Andy too! his humbleness and openness in talking about his problems was admirable! How many people would have the courage to go public to that degree like Andy did? Love him for his beautiful heart and soul! xox

  • I hate interviewers, I hate them I hate them....if you haven't had a mental illness you don't know what its like, Andy was handicapped just like someone with a missing leg, in fact moreso. Addiction----you don't know what it is until you experience it. God Bless Andy Gibb.

  • ahhhhhhhhhh he's sexy.

  • Yeah he looked gorgeous here and people are indeed jealous! i liked him with the blond hair best though!!!!! He looked beautiful with it!!!!! He looks like Lee Meads here a bit......(the 2007 ''Joseph'')

  • At 3:55 he says he wants a family - he left behind a wife and baby in Sydney! I loved him at the time but success came too easy for him.

  • @steptile

I read where Andy and his wife had moved to LA after the honeymoon and rented a small apartment. Several months later Kim, his wife left him and went back to Australia, pregnant and had the baby. She did not like LA. Moving to LA was not good for Andy with the drug pushers and addicts and all. He was so young too.The rest is history. Andy had an identity problem being the youngest little brother to the Bee Gees and the family(although loving) had moved alot growing up.Great talent !!

  • andy was a very loveble person and an ace man

unfortunately he is dead now and his brothers blame a friend of him for his death

andy wil always live in our hearts with his songs

    wherever he is

I love his songs thank you for posting all right

  • His brothers don't actually blame Victoria.

  • but i sow it on internet when I was reading about anddy beegees miss him so for

I miss anddy songs it 's pity he died in 1988

  • Uh, yes they do. That's why they didn't let her at the funeral. She left his heart to bleed, and she didn't care.

  • @Emmalala123 It had nothing to do, with VP. She gave him, an ultimatum CHOSE ME, OR CHOOSE DRUGS. The drugs won, and he did it to himself, to put himself six feet under, at 30. It's a shame. REST IN PEACE Andy

  • @FilmNMusicBuff77 Yes, I've heard that too about VP giving Andy an ultimatum. I was also intererested to read an interview with Andy's mum where she commented that VP had not treated Andy well. I wish she had elaborated.

  • THX for this post! He wore his heart on his sleeve and was so personable with her. He was just a really sweet, gentle, beautiful soul - who probably didn't know his own talent and worth. I like to think he does now. We miss you Andy!

  • he was beautiful!and a very sweet guy, they don't make them like that anymore.

  • Sure they do. I can identify with what Andy is going through in a way. I recently had my heart broken by someone and I can see why he had the nervous breakdown. The one thing that I didn't do is turn to drugs. But I stopped eating, wasn't getting a lot of sleep and have been depressed. Very painful stuff.

  • Well, if Andy does not look good even for today's standard in these clips, I think new specs would be a good idea.

  • p.s. all your other comments on the other videos of andy are negative too. so it is obvious you do not like him.

jealousy is such and ugly emotion, idiot!

  • i agree with you

  • your either jealous of andy gibb and dont like him, if so why are you on this site? you have nothing nice to say, andy gibb looked great from 82-88 , you just jealous because he was hot and the women loved him. what do you look like?????

  • you need to get a life and leave Andy alone he is better looking than any man that i have everseen he has so much soul and lov in his heart that so many people lack now a days

  • Wow, are you blind? lol

  • what are you talking about andy looked great with the beautiful georgous blond feathered hair in the late 70,s. think the only reason had shortish hair here was due to the role he played on broadway.

but you wouldnt know anything about what a woman wants to look at . woman like a full head of georgous hair like andy not the ugly hairstyles like today that men have. could it be your just jealous of him?

  • I think, the short hair, was his greatest look,on reflection. It complemented his good looks!

  • You are a morone cant you see his soul jackass!

  • Is it just me, or does Andy look thin and not so well here. Maybe it's just the short hairstyle.

  • Comment removed

  • At 3.56 he says he want security a family around him he did/does have a daughter but she's never mentione anywhere?

  • There are pics of her in a tribute video to him here. Don't remember the title but you can search for it. She's pretty. Don't know anything about here though.

  • If you come across it can you send me the link. Thanks

  • To Anna1969

In a documentary on Andy GIbb I watched here on Youtube a while back, I think they said that Andy didn't see his daughter until she was two years old. If I recall correctly, he didn't see her again, but he did talk to her on the phone.

  • I wonder what he would look like nowadays.

    Love ya Andy!!!!!!

  • this is my first time to see andy gibb interview... he was so honest and sincere. i love him. RIP, Andy! missed him and still loving him and his songs

  • yes andy we will always love you .....we always did and all your fans will love ya forev er , ...while you were with us you brought such joy and love xx thanks for t his posting,...fab xx

  • I can't even imagine what it must have been like to be related to the Bee Gees... He never felt that he was good enough to be on par with his siblings.. He might have done the drugs to get numb... It is too bad that he died so young, but Andy couldn't come to terms with success.. it just ate him alive.. RIP Andy.. You were on Par with the Bee Gees and you had so much more to give...

  • ok I am going to say this Andy did not let anyone down and the site you ment dosn't say a thing about him being a cokehead GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT always Andy's Angel

  • Hi Simone, you're free to share your opinion of course but to call him a Cokehead who let everybody down based on just one source is not what you would call really objective.I mean,he admitted his failures publicly more than once and if he would've been as nasty as described he would not have even bothered to do, let alone check himself into a clinic. Personally, I find the stories by his own mother and brothers told in the official BeeGees biography,Keppel Road etc more convincing.Cheers,Nikka.

  • I agree with you with all my heart

  • Your points are well founded and I've taken them onboard. Unfortunately for me, my own experiance with my husband hooked on coke has been disastorous. I have lost husband (divorced) who I loved dearly, and still do, our house and standard of living through the selfish life these coke heads lead. I know he's (andy) an icon for you, but if you ever experiance the lies and deceipt first hand, you'll know how I feel -Simone - Leeds

  • @Brujitaole I agree, I would believe what Andy's own family said before I would EVER believe any writer. Andy and his family admitted he had problems, of course, they didn't owe anyone an explanation. Good families such as theirs seemed to work with each other and love each other unconditionally. Andy did get clean before he died and should be remembered for the incredibly talented man he was despite of his earlier problems.

  • @Brujitaole I believe not letting everybody down was a big part of his demise. He had to pretend to be younger than he was.To be this perfect teeny bopper star when he wasn't he was a very real person with real problems. He had a child he was expected to leave behind .It really seems like to me he was very lonely and sad self depreciating,a people pleaser maybe he lied to himself and others he really seems ashamed of his addiction and weaknesses and failings. He was the one he let down.

  • I saw Andy in this show on Broadway and he was FANTASTIC! I remember thinking to myself, "He's found his calling...Broadway". He was THAT good. Too bad what happened to him. So sad.

  • Andy was an angel. :-)

  • Andy, how could you ever fear that your fans might forget you? You are still loved after all these years :)

  • Me encanta esta entrevista, Andy siempre tan simpatico y sincero, gracias por ponerla.Saludos

  • He's got so much talent. I'd love to know what he'd look like now.

  • I just love that man. He went through so much and in such a public way. He was so gentle and so courageous in facing such detailed public scrutiny of his every little move... I hope, now, Andy has all the happiness and love he craved and so richly deserved, and his world is set to right. *Sigh*

  • you are so right I always will love that man no matter what as he deserves

  • wow.. that was an awesome interview. He was right about one thing...he had a strong fan base and still does!! I wish he were still here. :-( Thank you for posting this wonderful and rare clip of Andy. Many hugs and blessings! ~~ Angie
