"Reaganomics" were harsh times, but after the 2 years under "Reaganomics" you could see it helped the economy. You can't say a president who lowers the unemployment is the worst president. Increased debt? 7 of 8 Reagan budgets were increased by the Congress. Signing the last 3 fiscal year budgets came with a deal with then speaker Tip O'neill, he would raise taxes slightly if The DEMOCRAT Led Congress Cut spending. Reagan lived up to his word, O'Neill did not.

Although it is hard to judge which is Reagan's greatest accomplishment because he has so many of them, I think one that would rank very high is that he reminded us that as Americans, we don't need to rely on "a little intellectual elite" to plan our lives for us.
