  • well its official...now I have seen it all!lol

  • omg this is in 2008 and this guy nows never say never before justin bieber does

  • Hey Dave, check out this guy's experiment. He got Sponge Bob Square Pants to fly. Who knew that SBSP was so aerodynamic.

    watch?v=4d58il21yyU

  • Man you are awesome! Keep up the good work... I'm gonna watch all of your videos! Amazing and very cool! :)

  • Awesome! When I was fully into racing slot cars, 40 yrs ago, I was always the one that motorized something like a toy double deck bus or a tank for the slot track. I even made a (bad) scale petrol tanker which would wipe out three other lanes when it hung out the tail in the corners! :¬D

  • so much snow.......nice place to fly a rc plane.^^

  • awesome man

  • YOU are one of the few reason a come to u-tube, have watched many many of your vids, and have gotten into flying R/C choppers, just bought my first 6 channel a Blade 400 and cant wait to start flying it, I started with a e-flight cx 4 channel and do pretty good with that one, keep up the good work.

  • nice vids

  • cool !! really awesome !!

can you make my r/c ca fly?

  • i want one

  • will you try it on your real garage door?? :D

  • its crap. like the bloddy aweful musak.

  • hello, nice conversion;) is thath from a storm launcher?

i will make something like this, but me y want to convert rc lamav3 helico into a plane like this

how much chanel do u have on it? because for my home made epp plane y don not have horizontal gouverne bacause there is not mutch chanel on helic, but y have two motor and y can cantrole power output for each, does it wil work to remplace horizontal gouverne?

  • u seem expert in flying airplanes so i need an advice i just made a rubber band propelled airplane and it is quite stable witthoyt spinning propeller but when i spin the prepeller it falls down nose first ... i really need advice plz help and reply

    thanks

  • lol! the "vertical landing was the "assissted take off" in reverse!

  • y near water!?

  • i think your garage door flies!

  • Lol you made a plane/helicopter :D

  • lol it flyed XD just didnt fly "right"

  • very cool and nice plane i like it 5*

  • now thats what i ll HATO (hand assisted takeoff)

  • wow cant believe i wasted my time watching that stupi thing

  • you guys made some poor trashes day! good video! funny music!

  • HAHA cool

  • awesome nice job

  • awesome

  • I'm sure if you had been born in the late 19th century your last name would have been wright. And if you were born in the early 20th century it would have been yager!

  • this is totally unrelated to the video, but you always put cameras on your planes. i want to do that, but with a real time camera, and i want to use a cheap, but good edf jet, or the 1:10 scale piper cub as my uAV i know you are an expert so could you make a recomendation on what plane or spy camera i should get? great video your the best

  • its called falling with style

  • sorry to say the music is bad

  • Mate...I've watched a few of your vids now, and I swear, you'd be able to get a freakin brick to fly. On it's own. Don't know how, don't know why, but I bet you could.

    LoL.

    Cheers.

    Q:)

  • sweeeeeeeeeet

  • luck you to have such an HUGE FLYING FIELD! 2:03 - 4:03

  • haha sweet

  • hi nightflyer, could you demonstrate making a simplest of flying machine, without any radio controller, servos etc.

i mean i am trying to make a small plane with only 2 motors, battery and props. i just need it to fly uncontrolled,

when i am done , i will graduate to rc.

    if you could please help!

  • try to make a flying lawnmower next time!

  • you guys just have too much fun...

    "wish i lived next door"..

    buy i hate snow...burrrrrrr....;-]

  • wow cool

    i want to make this

  • hothabbopage my landrover weighs about 2000kg it is an agricultural vehicle i was commenting that Dave Nightflyer being so ingenious could probably make that fly if he had the time and the cash

  • wow its home made as well!!

  • wow

  • Dave could make my landrover fly!

  • I make planes as hobby ,

what is the problem of your landrover fly ?

  • what kind of landie you got?

  • lol nice

which continent do u live in?

i dont see don hous3s around

  • Shit that frickin mean

  • the wind sounds like a hurricane in the video. its amazing that it could fly! you should be hired to be an aircraft engineer!

  • He was lol, watch his other videos he explains it.

  • its like a loud anoyying low powered helicopter

  • haha flyies crouked

  • i am planning to make a rc plane out of the storm launcher can umake a video of a homemade rc plane out of storm launcher electronics a those foam from office max or something thanks

  • WAY TO GO MAN!!!

  • try to throw it

  • Oh, man, that is awsome

  • I put 3 spokes into a hulahoop with an old OS35 with an oversize prop in the centre. A circular fuel tank made from plastic pipe wrapped round the centre and a single servo for throttle. After balancing and adding 3 bits of old glider wing to the spokes I have a strange spinning UFO thing. I love making junk fly.

  • i like the background music :)

  • is that the x twin jet

  • if u listen to it in the garage kinda closely it kinda sounds like a viper

  • wow nice man im gunna try making a silly plane i gut a broken heli dragonfly

(it sucked dont buy it) so i have a motor and a battery so im hoping i can use that to make a plane as soon as i come up with 250 dollars my dad will pay the other half for the p51 mustang pts hangar nine plane so i will put the flight on youtube

  • you should put pemament elevators on it

  • have you ever tryed with RC zeppelin

  • If you break the lawnmower down to the basics - how is this different?

    It isn't

  • Its just an experiment. I have many non crap models. GEE!

  • @NightFlyyer Your model isn't crap it's better than any of mine!

  • @NightFlyyer get a nitro rc buggy . it wold be nice

  • @NightFlyyer that is the coolest plane EVER!!!!!!!

  • @thezaggikid piece of crap !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @thezaggikid Why be like that.. Its just a bit of fun mate.

  • @Phrozius but it's crap

  • @thezaggikid wait ur calling this crap and what do u fly... he has 7 channel helis and 6 channel planes it was just an experiment so don't go ''puttin the plane in ur pocket''

  • @thezaggikid its not crap

  • if i was you i would make big 7foot planes..(if i was that pro) nice vid

  • Yep, had plenty of big ones already. Stay tuned.

  • you have alooot of crazy heli/airplanes and you fly this? lol

  • I like to experiment and exercise my mind.

  • how did you make it

  • Does that have elevons, or variable speed motors? I know it's been a year since you've flown it, and it's probably pieces of foam right now, but it really is interesting.

  • Variable speed motors. It is still intact. Thanks.

  • where do you live almost in all your videos its snowing windy or cold outside =P

  • Iowa, USA. Always windy.

  • a mini flying garage door, i wouyld have never thought of that

    well done :)

  • LOL. Thanks.

  • your welcome :P

  • godddd you can make ANYTHING fly next time try a live fish and put a elevator and rudder and throw it into the air and do rolls and loops !!!! haha lol

  • that things pretty cool

    but...

im sorry, that music is just too much :P

  • Thanks. I made the music myself. LOL.

  • check out my video of my 5 inch custom aero ace mods are cool evryone should experiment this thing is amazing

  • ounce again dave never a dull moment with you great job was laughing the intire video

  • All right. I'm glad to hear that. Thanks.

  • cool beans dude!!!!!

  • Thanks very much.

  • lol, awesome music

  • Thanks.

  • That is quite possibly the best music ever! Good vid - amazed it flew so well, wasn't expecting that!

  • Haha.Thanks kindly.

  • Ah..Thats a Great Job but it you want to make it stay like a Helicoptor then put some sticks some thing...Because when we make Helicoptors and when they wont stay in the Air we put some Sticks to balance it, and thats a true Advice from an rc helicoptors Engineer. Thanks!

  • I'm well acquainted with helicopters with over 50 years experience Militarily and models. Hovering is boring to me these days, so I wanted to just see if it would fly. Thanks for your comments.

  • You can make just about anything fly...

I wish I had the wealth of knowledge that you do. I love just about anything that can get off the ground and not crash.

I came up with an idea on how to fix the tail boom of my phantom. I hope it works. There is major restoration I need to do to it.

  • Thanks kindly. Good luck with the boom.

  • WHERE DO YOU LIVE???

    Middle Of NOWHERE ?>???

  • I live in the center of the United States....sometimes if feels like no where.

  • hey that's pretty good because i would of never of

    thought of that

  • Thanks very much.

  • Nice Music!!

  • LOL... Thanks.

  • nice job

  • Thanks kindly.

  • very very very good

i think landing need some work otherwise i flew well

  • LOL Thanks kindly.

  • the vertical landing was ur assisted take off from beginging just in rewind but nice job awsome stuff lol

  • Thanks. Yep, It would not slide on the ground an kept tipping over before taking off with the wind, so a little "jato" boost. But it flew. Thanks.

  • VERY VERY impresssive.. i cant make anything worth my life lol

  • Thanks kindly. But you cant give up trying...

  • looks like somthing from futerama thanks dave

  • LOL. Haha. Thanks.

  • nice stormin dave u got there

  • Thanks.

  • Thank you sir. Yes I made it myself.

  • thats very impressive

  • Thanks kindly.

  • very "space-ship-ish", lol.

  • LOL. Thanks.

  • Since I couldn't post a vote on the other video I will do so now before seeing the video (it is loading) my vote is it WILL fly. (I'm always late to the party, lol)

  • Well since I already made a video of the results, I have disabled the voting.

  • great vid....but do u really have a science class? if u do i want u to be my science teacher

  • Thanks. Yes, I have just finished teaching it a few weeks ago, when I took my helicopters to school and made a video of it, you may have seen already.

  • IT FLIES!!!

  • wow... how do u decide the motor type and what batteries to use? and do u gave a video of basic concepts of designing a plane?

  • I used the stock motors from the Stormlauncher.

See my video on How to make an RC airplane for more, but building a small kit will help you most, as the instructions explain all. From then on, you will know how. Good luck,

  • thanks

  • you're good .i tried many times to build my own rc plane buy failed

  • Thanks kindly. Never give up and you never know. See my 200th video aroun tuit and also my You F.O. video for more interesting designs and good luck.

  • amazing glad i subscribed =)

  • Thanks kindly for your comments. I appreciate them.

    Dave (AKA Nightflyyer)

I blocked myself from replying to my own videos AS MYSELF, till You Tube Figures out what went wrong and how to fix it,

    I am answering as NightflyyersShadow.

  • how about an iron ? :) great vids !!!

  • Haha. Stay tuned.

  • haha another great vid dave

that will give me some ideas to do with some of my toys

  • Thank you very much. Have fun.

  • Great job I'm pretty positive anything you build will fly. I wouldn't bet against you thats forsure. GREAT JOB DAVE!

  • Thanks. Your too kind.

  • what about hooking up the motors to the elevators so not only would it be easier to take vtol you would also have thrust vectoring. just an idea. btw love your videos

  • Possible, but would be too tail heavy for this application, I fear. Besides I just wanted to use the stock stormlauncher stuff, and not get too complicated, as crashing would mess up any thrust vectoring mechanics.

  • it glides a lot easier than a regular storm launcher. 5/5 dave

  • Ha ha. Yes, like a little bit smaller Brick!

  • THA SO COOL

  • Thanks.

  • if it has wings and is light weight wit a powerful motor it'l fly. o and do more of these vote wether it'll fly or not things they fun!

  • Thanks. More on the way.

  • hey Dave how did u join the motors of the S/L to the rest of the body and wat parts did u keep from the original S/L

  • I kept everything from the front end including the spar, in which I hot-melt glued to the foam board. Then I used some clear tape to make sure. The radio compartment and battery connectors are all there too, plus the pushrod that goes to the elevator. I lengthened that with a wheel collar around a second pushrod, which makes it adjust in length easily.

  • that kind of reminds me of the mini Pizza Box Flyer made with an EPP foam sheet. I'll to make one with Air Hogs Aero Ace components.Cool Video 5/5 :)

  • Thanks. Make sure to make a video.

  • yeah but i dont have a camera but my sister does, but I'll try to make a mini pizza box, higher chances I wont:( . But I first need to solder the wire from the motor that broke off.

Chances are I will by a cheap rubberband styro-foam launched plane for a couple bucks and put the components if I can't buy EPP foam because I dont know which store to get EPP foam at. I'll try my hardest to make a video. :)

  • did u do a download of ur back yard on realflightG3.5

  • Nope. I have RF, but I usually fly Aerofly instead. Either way, I never tried to download any scenes.

  • hahaha, nice job on that 'garage door' !

I guess just about anything can be flown indeed, well done Dave !

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • I like teh tune!

  • Great to see youtube actually showing something interesting and it's all down to you Mr Herbert. Love watching your video's, please don't stop. Keep it flying

  • Thanks very kindly for your remarks. :>

  • What kind of foam did you use on it?
