  • c-ram will not engage rockets and mortars fired too low due to colateral damage of structures inside and outside the wire.

  • Sounds like Salerno Afghan Alarm

  • @ 1stcavgrunt mate it can shoot anything down...it can shoot even 3in gun projectiles, you must feel like that you had them for def!

  • @ 1stcavgrunt do some research retard. i'm in baghdad right now doing the C-RAM mission, and the rounds are self detonating with a less than 1% fail rate. nice try though.

  • @gnartell Don't need to do the research. I was there. I had more metal from your gun go through my hooch than from mortars

  • @1stcavgrunt I think the metal you're talking about are actually the sabots that come apart from the round after it leaves the barrel not the actual rounds.

  • Yes, the CRAM works great.....if it's mission is to put hundreds of little holes in your hooch.....That was a great idea..let's take a gun that was designed to shoot down cruise missiles over the WATER, and have it shoot down mortars over our CAMP.

  • CrAM doesnt hit much!!! The Dutch Goal Keeper is alot better suited for the mission. but why would we buy somthing that works

  • the CRAM is version of the Vulcan Phalanx, which is much more successful than the Goalkeeper. The Goalkeeper is much larger, therefore harder to move and deploy. the Phalanx has both Radar and IR guidance, so it can attack targets much more accurately. the ammo for the Phalanx is also cheaper.

  • CRAM doesn't work all the time, but we can get rounds alot of the time, and thats better than none.

  • nice
