  • very similar to what UG Krishnamurti would say, except she is not as brash as him

  • Very interesting. She will continue to experience what she experiences and come to see what she comes to see and that's fine.

  • enlightened "persons" must be so and so and so... just definitions, limitations that don't contemplate the multiple forms of being. Even Adyashanti lets his mind make mistakes. Actually we CAN NOT KNOW how liberation is "seen" by each one of us. Therefore, what someone could "expect" to see, the so desired fireworks, may never occur. No expectation is enlightenment (of no one) itself. Fireworks and bliss may only be reasons for someone to continue attached. All is allowed in the field of This.

  • Bravo (the woman formerly known as) Catherine! Beautiful.

  • When the jerk realises enlightenment, the jerk still remains. As the jerkness is not apart from liberation there can be a satisfaction with it, and no need to improve the character. It is possible to stagnate here and be fine with what is, end of story, and so there is a dumbing down of the benefits, the wonder and the creative possibilities , and no desire to help humanity. Others see no end to the wonder and the depth and the creative potential and are excited to be of ever greater benefit.

  • It's so ordinary, doesn't have the flash and bells and whistles of the usual idea of liberation. Yet, what does anyone know about it? What can be known? Who is there reporting that it is divine bliss, ecstasy, etc? Liberation is so present, so absolutely ordinary that a seeker misses the mystery of what is happening. We tend to get caught up in what can be known about it, but what it is cannot be known. It is all that is, life itself is living enlightenment.

  • Oh boy. The most enlightened person I see here is the interviewer, Renate. She's really pretty extraordinary. She feels like a very broad, living person in her heart. How funny she doesn't realize what's going on.

This woman, Catherine, isn't experiencing non-duality. She's locked in duality, she's trapped in separation. It's not liberation, not by any definition I recognize. It's exile.

  • I was actually thinking of a quote by Adya during this whole awesome interview. He said something like "People think when they awaken it's going to feel so good, or they're going to feel so happy all the time, when really all you feel is kind of... irrelevant."

  • The quote the interviewer uses here is from Adya's book The End of Your World, where he's discussing people who've had brief glimpses of liberation and make a belief out of it, then go around telling people they're "enlightened". Adya calls them "enlightened egos", and I do not think he contradicts anything Catherine says here.

  • The lady doing the interview thinks she is a person. To interview an enlightened person must be a nightmare for the mind!

  • @Ponferrada22

It looks to be a very typical seeker who's built up a strong "Spiritual Lady" identity interviewing someone with no identity whatsoever.

  • The Woman Doing The Interviewing Is FAR More Enlightened Than The Woman Being Interviewed! Enlightenment Is Merging Back Into The Original Shoreless Ocean Infinite Wizdom Ambrosial Pure Consciousness SOURCE ~Divine SPIRIT Fabric & Tapestry Of ALL Seen & Unseen & BEYOND! ALL Realms & Universes Are Just An Illusory Speck In SOURCE! Self~Effulgent Unlimited Divine Love ~Purity ~Bliss ~Ecstacy! ONENESS ~ No Subject Object! Reincarnation Ended! ALL Species Ect Are That SOURCE & Can Be Enlightened!♥

  • Catherine stays in innocence. She is not afraid to say "I don't know". There is more of a living in the open space of consciousness rather than in the storyline of an individual. There is a clear openness. Wonderful.

  • when she says she's no longer there. I assume she means the ego is no longer there?

  • if consciousness is love and compassion how can we say it doesn't care! If I AM that totality then I say I do care about the suffering of others. I Am not moved by it but throw love without condition into it.

  • surely If there is just totality then there are no others to care about...all pain is the pain of the totality, others (like the illusion of yourself) are just the dream puppets of your own unconscious creation.... 'nothing is real, and nothing to get hung about...'

  • illusion of self is also totatily

  • absolutely!

  • Consciousness is love for "what is". So, it doesn't care about this or that, it cares about and loves the whole of itself. If there is a motion of altruism, consciousness loves it. If there isn't, consciousness loves it too.

  • i love this lady, she just blows all the spiritual dogma right out the water, showing how off track all the seeking is, you would think that the interviewer is the enlightened one..

  • excellent and pertinent questions. It's great to get different perspectives.

  • 'Non-dualism' is a system of THOUGHT! Just another belief. Not very original; 5000 years old.
