With all due respect (and goggle-eyed, open-mouthed admiration) to Tawny, the one who really caught my eye in this sequence was Nancye; the epitome of 80's cool.
Hey, r3mold, thanks so much for putting all these clips up here. "Rockula" was a fave rental of mine, and I now regret never buying a copy. A request: I realize that it wasn't heard in its entirety in the movie, but do you think you could post "United State of Beat?" I really enjoyed Nancye's performance in that number.
@MaskedMan66 Whoa...sorry I missed this post somehow. If you're still out there MaskedMan66, I will see if I can find and upload that. I kinda like it too.
I have an AMV contest where contestants have to use songs from this movie. Youtubers, if you like this song & know an anime this works well with, I encourage you to make an AMV w/this song or one of the other songs from this movie. Contest ends May 9.
Unfortunately there was never an official soundtrack released for Rockula. Thomas Dolby's song "Budapest By Blimp" is available on one of his albums, but none of the other songs.
Haven't seen it in a while but I remember the movie being "okay". The soundtrack is actually more memorable. This is my favorite song, followed by the opening theme.
This movie shows alot over here in NZ on Sky TV on one of the movie channels, but I'm ashamed to say I have not watched it all the way through, but if I ever see it again I'll try too.
Yeah the dark haired girl (Robin) was Nancye Furguson. One of the little girls was her and Mark Motherbaugh's daughter. Actually her and the 3 girls were a singing group called "Visiting Kids" for a while. That song in the movie never was on any album they put out.
even though this movie was never released on DVD you can steam it on Netflix

I remember this flick from the 90's. It used to come on Showtime a lot. A little dated now but still a guilty pleasure.
