  • uno de mis temas faboritos DJ. DAN ALAGUNA.

  • Nancy Reagan's One World Religion has Really Gone Over Well!..to "Just Say No" to TRILLIONS!!! now It's DEFICIT!!!...(Rome aka The Pentagon is problee planning in default, after a bankrupt economy; that One World Government of that strategic emblem of true DESTINY my son DESTINY!)...sympathy for those caught amidst a regime and war who were in Berlin!..."Now 'How Does It Feel."

  • Holy cow! what a great song. Watching the original video and hearing this song make me go into the attic and dig up my old Coleco vision game console. yeah I know my kids laugh at the crappy graphics too. too bad they did not have the chance to experience this stuff when it first came out.

  • is this song of the cold war

  • long live the 80's

  • Is thing song about the cold war?

  • The video game that shows up is Zaxxon released in 1982! Very modern on that time!

  • this song is about a bad sunday night.

  • Nowdays they call this: VJ (Video Jockey) art

Back then it was brand new approach for a video-clip.

Both music and visuals are very much ahead of their time.

  • @rtmnmk uh... no.. they arent.. you should check out more vids from the 60's groups

  • Memories - excellent!

  • Love it.

  • Just think, if the soviet union had invaded western europe we would be going to war with songs like this playing. On a cassette boombox of course.

  • @Phar1ax The "are the Russians going to move on Europe" question sure sets the tone for just about any music in the early 80's doesn't it?

It is a total good thing that people these days don't know or remember that. Good thing that all that never happened and is quickly becoming lost to history.

  • brilliantly thought out song

  • OMG, real music video for the original 12" Blue Monday? Excellent! Didn't know this existed.

  • @kimmeelizabeth , there IS a 7:29 video.

  • This is the very first time seen the original '83 "Blue Monday" music video.Have only seen the remake '88 version(Got into New Order around the Fall season of 1987 when I was a Freshman in HS and purchased the "substance" cassette tape 2 or 3 months after the album release during that past summer).

  • @kimmeelizabeth

    not that I'm aware of

  • This version is bonafide and legit. It got heavy airplay on WFNX and MTV and even V66 in Boston.

  • @paulsak59 FNX still Rockin it!! Julie Cramer's Electric lunch....

  • Both, This one Orig. and the 88' Version are Great!

  • makes me giggy, idk why. :)

  • JD and New Order are always a subject.......pro-nazi marching, weimereiner dogs.....jawas and druids.....the mystique and detachment is what sets NO apart....from Ians shadow....sacred geometry fascinates....even off drugs

  • why is this only 4 ins long the original was 7.29 mins long

and does any one know where the full lengh original is

i have this on original vynyl with the floppy disc cover and iv heard this ir rearer then hens teeth..!!

stillthe best 12inch record to come out of the 80's

  • The video was created later in 83 for a shortened version of the original song (which is, as you say 7.29)

  • @MrBaggy69 just youtube search "new order blue monday" and first hit is the 12 inch....

  • @MrBaggy69 also, this special edit was released only on some ultra rare promo vinyl

  • way better than the 88 version

  • blue monday, like many of new order's earlier work, sounded very flat, but is always very easy to dance to. this, everything's gone green, temptation, confusion, hurt, they all had a great baseline of some sort.

  • But Imagine this song with Curtis singing

  • New Order is always one of my favorite group .. Blue Monday forever.

    Fan for Hong Kong

  • I like this original most than all other versions.

  • I don't mean to sound heartless, but I'm glad, in a perverse way, that Ian Curtis killed himself. If he hadn't, New Order probably wouldn't exist, and without N.O., Blue Monday would never have been produced.

  • so true!New Order were so much better than Joy Division

  • If Ian Curtis didn't die, Joy Division would have collapsed, because he was going to actually join Throbbing Gristle...

  • would this be considered 'hardcore' in 1983?

i don't think there's anything else like this from that time.

  • its original.

  • This is much clearer than the other video shame it doesn't include the base drum intro but at least this picture is not fuzzy and blury.

  • great! very nice '80 music

  • ..the starship game is Zaxxon i think..great memories

  • yep your right :) you know your 80s

  • and probably its the commodore 64 version, like those "geometry" demos shown in this video;)

  • blue monday

  • this is not the original it is 7:29 mins

    its more kickass

  • its very difficult to see this video in other place!! is very 80's with the special effects i love this video!!!

  • awesome!
