While this is just a physiological reaction, the reality is, that it is some freaky shit. Sure there have been reports of cadavers moving after a week. But if you read the article, it probably also mentions something about the person finding it, crapping their pants.

lol fools, take anatomy lessons, and understand the even if the animal is considered "dead" the electrical signal sent from the brain through the spine and to the heart can still go for a brief moment, and thus giving the impression that the animal's hear is beating.

it's the muscle moving...big what. dead people sometimes move too, even at 1 week after they died. it's called cadaveric spasm or postmortem spasm, but I'm pretty sure in this case it's just a nerve that made the muscle contract :)

@ChronicMist Wrong, not a full week after death. The "death spasm" is a misnomer, and is more likely movement made by gas buildup in the rotting corpse. Brain death is final after 5 minutes of the heart stopping, the nerves are the same. You do know that rigor mortis only lasts about half a day, after which the muscles begin to come apart and decay, you do know that, right?
