  • Lovely! As a Ukulele player I like especially the name Ukee... ;)

    BTW: What's the music?

  • @floydbluethereal "roll your own" by tripswitch

  • @UkeeandKoru Thank you!

  • @floydbluethereal Ukee is my English spelling of a common name in japan, "Yuki" which means snow. Ukee has as white a tummy as I have seen on a Bengal, so seemed fitting. Ukee's favorite color is black, based on the toys she favors, so we thought of Kuro, japanese for black, when we added the second cat. But we've converted that to Koru (co like in coal, and ru like in kangaroo)

  • All of that before 8 a.m.???

  • beautiful music, perfect CATs )

  • It's a cat's life.

  • UMM.... COULD YOU PLZ TELL ME wat 8.5 lbs is in kgs?

  • @WowYazz13 google --> pounds to kilograms --> computer calculator--> enter numbers

--> press enter --> see numerical value in kilograms equal to 8.5 lbs.

  • @test18258 ok thanx

  • @WowYazz13 I over stated Koru's size, she is actually only 7 pounds, or 3.2 kilos.

  • @UkeeandKoru thanx very much

  • omg.. gorgeous blue eyes

  • @tacticus0010 their eyes are hard to photograph, but they are chartrues, or light emerald green

  • @UkeeandKoru I love watching all your videos and i have showed them all to my parents to convince them to let me get a bengal. They just keep coming up with one argument. we just built a brand new house with curtains. would they climb the curtains and destroy them? if they do how can i stop them from doing it.

  • @TravDaMan98 I've never seen a cat climb curtains. Bengals do need a lot of active play, kittens need about 4 hours a day. If left alone all day they get bored. All cats, especially Bengals, can be trained. Ours stay off the counters, don't scratch furniture, are SO careful not to bite or scratch. I can tell you more about good training techniques. Check the video, "ideal companion: Bengal" for a good summary of Bengals. Check my favorite'd videos of Bengals. Bengals are a little expensive.

  • @UkeeandKoru Thank you for your reply. I hope showing my parents this will make them change their mind. I want a bengal for their activeness and their looks. I go to highschool so im not home between 8.30 and 3.40 but i know that when i do get home i will be playing with them unless i have homework. I have quite a big home, do you suggest if the cat is home alone i leave all doors open or should i block it off from some rooms. Once again thank you for you help and i love your videos

  • @TravDaMan98 If you get a kitten, introduce them to your home slowly over a few days. Otherwise, a cat needs as enriching an environment as possible so they'd like the whole house. Things to explore, windows, places to sleep. "Territory" is key in cat's lives we don't tend to recognize. They are not comfortable until they have a grasp of their whole realm. They also like an object in each room to scratch or rub. Some training involves using specific rooms for a time, but that's a separate topic.

  • @UkeeandKoru I ran out of room in the other reply to the comment, I would like to accept that offer of the training techniques. The more things i have to prove my parents wrong would be much better for me getting one. also do you have just a price you can think of that it would cost for this cats life or how much it would cost for a year as in the price of food and how much they eat all added up into one big sum?

  • @TravDaMan98 Check out the youtube video, "Silver And Aslan my two beautiful Bengal cats" by Sara. It is in my favorites list. She is a kid who is doing a good job of playing with her Bengals, and shows how wonderful Bengals are at engaging with kids and playing whatever games you can imagine. Her cats are just SO interested in being with her. Show your parents that video and see what they think. And you can ask Sara some questions about how her cats are in her house.

  • Those cats have a hard life. lol

  • 8 stupid dogs disliked the video.

  • Weird question but was that some sort of special brush you used on them or just a regular one? It looked kinda fancy. :D

  • @Never4mind Just an ordinary brush from the pet store. I like the kind with lots of fine wire bristles in a rubber base. Cat's skin is pretty sensitive, so the brush should feel soft and pliable, but have fine wires to get in their fur nice. At first they did not love brushing, but with very short slow brushes on the neck, they now love it. Sort of like when they wash each other.

  • you have an awesome house!!

  • I have 2 human kids ;) but my cats and other animals are just as important to me as my kids are. The only difference is. I didn't give birth to my animals.

  • I love all your kitty videos ! I've lived with at least 2 cats in my house my entire life. I've finally convinced my hubby to let me get a Bengal kitten, with the help of your beautiful videos. I love the set up you have for them with all the ramps and toys. It's so lovely to see someone who loves these beautiful creatures the way you do ! ( my inlaws can't see why my cats are like my children, and I'm constantly the centre of all cruel jokes at any Xmas function ) thank you for posting such be

  • @arania666 Good for you, and thanks for appreciating our videos. Tell your family, "Kids are for people who can't have cats!"

  • AWWW

Ive got 2 black and white kittys

  • i HAVE 2 MALE BENGALS AND THIS IS SO WHAT THEY ARE LIKE.:)

  • I love your cats and I love how much you dor for them, they're living the dream life for a cat! :)

  • I'm assuming that you made the ramps and climbing features in your home. We are considering getting a bengal cat and were wondering what kind of fabric you used. Did you use cedar or another kind of wood?

  • @route00066 I see your other vids and I will find a natural fibre carpeting that will work well. Love your vids and your cats. I was unsure if the bengal cat was too much cat for us but your vids have inspired me and my family. Thank you.

  • They have a really happy life

  • not sure what i love more... the cats or your house.

  • Your cats must be very happy with all the entertainment they have. Also your home has great ramps and stuff for them. They must love you!

  • @screamingmimi90 every day when I come home from work the cats know we play for an hour, so they are so excited! They follow my wife and I from room to room all day and night.

  • i knew that theyre playfull , full of energy and cudling, but when i saw the "nail salon time" i was suprised. you must be a very good owner.:)

  • You have a nice house... may you post your address so I can burgle it please? Thanks in advance.

  • @MrDenizen

Ya know, that's what I noticed too!!

I frikken love this person's cats! They're so happy!! I've actually tried stuff that they use for my own (they're not bengals just normal old Tuxedos) and it works!! It's amazing how smart any cat can be when they have the right stimulation!

  • what is the music?

  • @TheGrumpstein "roll your own" by Tripswitch

  • @UkeeandKoru thanks a lot :-)

  • These cats are as beautiful as few among feline races, here in Continental Europe Bengals are not very appreciated. Perhaps it is an effect of the economical crisis, and the presense of a grat number of european cats in shelters, that possess some physical commonality with the Bengals

  • These cats are very beautiful, and before I saw this video, i believed they were rather "wild" cats, as they descend from an asian leopard (that is an aggressive feline)

  • @anisocoro Bengals are breed very hard to promote good temperament. They just love being around people! Take a look at our video "happy cats" to see more of their happy moods. Even at the vet Ukee never lashes out, she just curls in a ball. Koru has a bit more of a "you are not the boss of me" tone, but she is never more than 10 feet away from us all day long. And I trained them to never use their claws playing and they are both SO careful to be gentle and keep the games going.

  • are they males... i guesse one of them!

  • @TheBMXKID88 they are both girls!

  • @UkeeandKoru ahh.. just that males like to cuddle more!! i have a female and she doesent like to cuddle

  • They are so adorable! Yeah, keep those beauties safe in the house. People who let their cats out go thru a lot of unnecessary drama when the cat stays who knows where for days at a time...or never return. I've seen it happen even in rural areas. Those kitties look plenty happy & healthy. Thanks for sharing a day in a their lives.

  • easy on the eyes, personality, sense of humor...the perfect companions :)

  • those cats are like dogs! they play all the time! and they do like my dog 3:18

  • It's my cat's life too!! xD 5.45 am FOOOD!!

  • my god your cats are just awesome! they look so happy and they are so full of energy all the time! ^_^

you can easily tell that you care and treat your cats as your own. my norwegian forest cat is outside all the time as long as its not raining :P but he can be the most cosy fur-ball sometimes too :)

  • they look so cute and happy :)

  • Do you let them outside? if not pretty cruel!

  • @matinhewing1 cat's don't need to be let outside any more than kids need to allowed to play in the freeway. The cat does not know cars, raccoons, coyotes, owls, are all deadly. Most of the outdoor cats around here last about a year or so. Much better to have an enriching environment inside. In fact, most Bengal breeders require buyers commit to keeping them inside. For ours, we have patios and decks that are safely contained with cat-proof enclosure so they can smell the air and listen to birds.

  • @UkeeandKoru They are animals, they need to interact with nature. Animals weren't intended to be enclosed indoors. It's like having a caged bird. They are made to hunt animals like mice, to climb trees. Interact with other cats. They are deprived. It's like a mother saying they are going to keep their kids outside, not allow them to venture out into the world because they are overprotective. That's just a chance you have to take because cats should be outside.

  • @sweetbutdaring we are all animals. But neither people nor house cats are wild animals. It is cruel to cage a wild tiger, but it is equally cruel to breed house cats made to live in our society and then expose them to the dangers of the wild they are no longer equipped to handle. All of us enjoy the outdoors, sitting in an open windows or on the deck is calming, they appreciate the beauty. Much more important than outdoors is to be loved in their house than to be outdoors

  • @sweetbutdaring they are not wild animals. They are domesticated by humans for a very long time. There are some true wild cats out there but not these. As long as the they are feed clean and have lots of toys and attention from thier owners they will lead a long and happy life.

  • @sweetbutdaring Don't speak about things you obviously have no clue about. Domestic cats have been bred to live with humans. They are ill-equipped to survive outside.

  • @matinhewing1 its not cruel at all, so many cats are injured or killed by some form of outside behaviour, whether car, animal or accident. They have everything they require indoors to live a happy, healthy life - they seem to get rather pampered too. If it was a 2 ft by 2ft flat then it would be different, but look at them, they are loved and cared for.

    - UkeeandKoru - have you seen the cat wheels you can get ? I considered it when Cairo (my bengal) was an inside kit cat xx

  • @Neshy2010 I've seen the wheels, but not tried one. It seems some cats love them. Our cats love to dash up and down the stairs, so they get their running in. Especially when I come home, we play back and forth on the stairs.

  • @Neshy2010 I have always been a cat lover and part of that affection was the knowledge, that my pets were free to come and go as they please. I understand that there are dangers but only 1 of our families cats was hit by a car, I believe Bengals are maybe smarter than most breeds so surely they would be OK? I can understand if SB might steal it, but to keep an animal caged is never acceptable to me.

  • awesome pair of Bengals, we have a male that we now believe is a Bengal, he is highly intellengent, really inquisitive, loves water, height etc. thanks for sharing

  • pussy footing eh ;)

  • That looks like a good life to me :3

Adorable kitties you have there ^.^

What's ths song you use in this vid called?

Sounds very nice and chilling, I'd like to look it up :)

  • @Veonoxis The song is "roll your own" by Tripswitch. You might like the song from "20 Bengal cat games" which is "Ecstasy of dancing fleas" by Penguin Cafe Orchestra, 20 more Bengal cat games is snorkel by Leo Kottke. (Youtube "caught" those two and list the artist). But they didn't get my rarities like Vildhonung (Wild Honey) by Boot in my vid "Bengals on poles". My "new home" vid uses McFerrin edited from a pixar short

  • Beautiful cats. The Bengals behavior is so similar watching yours compared to mined. I do envy your mani/pedi process. Mine fights it like the lttle tiger he is. we are very careful and my Tonk just lays back and enjoys the attention, but my Bengal hates it for some reason. Fun precious cats

  • @jamartiinez I trained the cats to tolerate nail clipping by waiting until they were grooming or asleep, and then clip just one or two nails. The process is called "repetitive approximation"; not really trying to achieve a real nail clipping, but rather a track record of a tolerable experiences. And then I pet them. Most owners make nail clipping a battle of wills, and the cat often wins. Just cut your Bengals nails one per day when he is asleep.

  • Our CRAZIES include the evil Walgreens receipt of doom, rolled up in a ball. And mostly happen at 1am. But my kids (cats) loved watching yours. Even got the LOOK during roll time. Roll time is important.

  • pussyfooting? that sounds good.

  • I Envy your life! beautiful home for Gorgeous cats!

    p.s. nice pool table

  • @CubanGoat Your'e a queer bag

  • You guys have a nice house.

  • @CubanGoat Absolutely! Many breeds, Bengals among them, have a strong affinity for high places. Their pleasure is partially having something to climb up, and also the feeling of being very high. They also enjoy finding somewhere in a room with us that is higher than the rest of the people that they can sit and look down.

  • i love ur video endings. it always make me think "aww~~"

  • How much do one of these run? Just stunning cats

  • @MaxsVVO Ours are both "pet grade" meaning they must be fixed so we can not have more kittens, and the breeder thought they might be less than show quality. Since both were our choice of the litter as Kittens, I am not so sure the breeder really evaluated them and decided they were less than show quality before letting us have them. They're sure as beautiful as any I have seen. Ukee was $500, Koru$750. Plus the cost to fix them.

  • @UkeeandKoru Thats more affordable than the Savannah's, and the patterns they have now are wonderful

  • @MaxsVVO ours were considered "pet grade" by the breeder. I don't know what they judge that by. But Koru at least is as pretty a Bengal as I have seen, with glitter and all. (see my vid about glitter!) We had them both fixed so we don't breed, and that was a condition of their lower sale price. Ukee was $500 and Koru was $750 Pennies a day!

  • thanx 4 making and posting the vid, they're great cats.

  • aw

  • gosh, these must be the two happiest cats ever! what a paradise :)

  • do you let your cats roam outside?

  • @misztal2112 only in our enclosed courtyard. You see a bit of the court toward the end of this video. And also in my "Cats in the snow..." video

  • Wow. Bengals are sooo energetic! Do Bengals maintain that kind of energy for life or do they start chilling out around age 5, like most other breeds?

  • @customcartoons Most cats, if they are continued to be given enrichment and play, will remain pretty active. Bengals maybe a bit more than normal. Ours at 6 and 4 remain active but not so much as when they are kittens. They want to play with me for about an hour as soon as I some home from work, and first thing in the morning. And they chase each other during the day.

  • I love when my cats do that chirping at birds, it's so cool.

  • Wonderful your 2 Cats . I love Bengal and Savannah Cat , but i have it not . Oh , sorry ... my english is not so good , hope you can understand me .

    Have a nice week .

  • @coonyrussy

thanks for your comments. I am working on my next video of the cats in our new home. Looks for it soon.

  • best vid ive seen on youtube tbh, your cats are so gorgeous and kind.

most cats hate getting their claws trimmed!

  • I love how Koru barks!

  • Aren't fleas are easy to solve with a flea collar

  • LOL i have a bengal! Hes a mischef maker and loves drinking out of the sink! Sadly, he has flees

  • @123Bellalove "Sadly, he has flees"

There isn't a cat owner in the world who doesn't have a flea problem from time to time!

In the short term, maybe a flea collar or a spot on treatment; you'll also need to spray around the house to remove the numerous fleas that will be hiding in the furniture.

In the longer term, maybe use Program (either injections or oral). It works slowly but after a few months will clear the house (and cat) of fleas.

Always discuss treatment options with your vet!!

  • i like ur other kitty

  • i think i'm falling in love with ya cats ^^

  • I think that you are very good to your cats and they love and respect you for that.

  • i love the names! ^.^

  • i have two abyssinians females and they behave exactly same way as yours. we can read each others minds. i too work from home so get to play, literally, with them all day. thought i was only person to build inside sisal climbing frames!!! if i had enough money id clone them, and wished i'd bred from them. they too are a good looking breed.

  • you have 2 beautiful cats and also a great house! congrats dude!

  • They're adorable!

  • would a bengal be good living on a farm? our family isn't home during the day untill 3pm so would it keep itself occupied without us? we have 2 other cats it 'could' play with.

  • there really cute cat's , ty for that

  • How can anybody (x7) dislike this video? o0

  • ur cats r gorgeous! and very patient when getting their nails done! u r very lucky!! :)

  • @ukeeandkoru My bulldog is very playful but when the he is tired he will lay down and rest. He usally does that 5-10 after he starts then hes done for a litte bit. My dog just came back from an hour of play. About an hour now he has been resting. I think he will be fine. But what should i look for in a cat when i get one??

  • @miniartist99 All the Bengals I know are very engaged in the lives of their family. Their tabby breeding shows that well. Every article cites this consistently, and their dog-like disposition including traits like running to the door every single time you come home. I don't think you can go wrong. I do think best that you buy from a breeder not a store, and that the breeders home was noisy and active, and preferably had dogs. Kitten will know how to treat dogs best that way, but not paramount.

  • @UkeeandKoru check my favorites, the very oldest one is called "Bengal: ideal companion" and is a good synopsis of their personality and needs. I am also asking my friend with two Bengals and a French bulldog if she has any comments for you. I'll get back to you. You might also like another of my favorites, "the dog who was a cat inside"

You will decide if you want spotted or marbled. And I suggest "pet grade" to save cost unless you are breeding. All will have the same personality.

  • @ukeeandkoru i have a french bulldog who is really lazy but loves to plays with orther animals. Thats why we are thinking about a bengal.

  • @miniartist99 if your Bengal has not learned the boundaries of play, they might use a little too much claw or bite even though just playing. Your bull dog will not likely protest enough or stop playing, so it can lead to too rough of play. To train against clawing you are all to stop play for 1-3 minutes, and then resume at a calmer level. Kitten quickly learns to continue play longer they must be more gentle. But getting your dog to stop play as part of this training will be the hardest part.

  • Im getting a bengal cat soon. Does it need any toys? and what should I look for in a cat?

  • @miniartist99 A Bengal needs a new toy every week or two. Nothing big, just anything new. But more so, they need something to climb on. And more than that they need novelty, like pull the cushions off the sofa sometimes, or unload the groceries on the floor, open any deliveries with them, etc. But MOST important, they need you to be a play companion 1-4 hours a day. A kitten as much time as possible! Do you have any other cats in the house to help share the time playing with your Bengal?

  • @UkeeandKoru I have friends with two Bengals and a French Bulldog. You'll do best if your Bengals comes from a Breeder/home with other dogs. But even so the Bengal will love most whomever plays with them the most. If that turns out to be the bulldog, they will be fast friends. It would also be nice if you are getting a kitten, that they are at least 12-13 weeks old so they have learned the social rules of not biting or catching a claw with their playmates.

  • so manny more reasons to love cats ;)

  • Your Bengals are absolutely stunning! All the cats I have ever had have always chatted at birds thro the windows, but the 2 Bengals I have now are very vocal :-) My 2 Bengals are very different in personality.. but I think all Bengals are very similar.. and @girlandth3city.. out of all the cats I've had over my life.. my Bengals are the highest "maintenance" of them all. I really think you should def be a full on cat lover b4 even thinking of getting a Bengal. Better for you, better for them!

  • i thought my cat was the only one that did that when she sees birds

  • @killernat I have seen several videos on youtube of cats chattering. It does seem to be certain kinds of cats. And there is all sorts of debate about why they do it. But it is relatively common. I know that most Bengals chatter. It seems to be done when they see prey, and that prey can not be reached or hear them. A cat in a field about to catch a mouse, does not chatter or they'd give themselves away! Chattering is likely instinctual and there is not a human emotion we should assign to it.

  • @UkeeandKoru The only thing I can think of which humans do that comes remotely close is Shouting abuse at stuff like X factor, and guys shouting at the ref (on telly) during a football match. It's really hard-wired in. Such beautiful cats, so spoiled, and a beautifully put together film.

  • very cool cats

  • Like having two active, green eyed squirrels in the house. I think these two would be bored and lonely without each other. They look like indoor cats, but your house, with its boxes, shelves, rafters and beams is a big jungle gym. Great cats,

  • I love your "catwalks" - the roads for the cats on the wall <3

  • I love their little "tent" game. They are so active and fun loving. Beautiful markings! Your house is really cat friendly.

  • I love their little "tent" game. They are so active and fun loving. Beautiful markings!

  • You once told me in a previous reply, but I can't find it, so...can a single Bengal be left alone while I'm at work? I need a pretty cat that won't destroy the house, or make a ton of noise while I'm gone. Is the Bengal for me?

  • @girlandth3city Don't get any cat just because they are pretty, get a painting. You should get a cat because you want a companion to play with and to pet when you get home, a pet who reacts to your moods and love you.

  • @girlandth3city . As for a Bengal, they are very active, so not the first choice for a single stay at home cat. But really any cat alone all day will need enrichment in the home, lots of games, hide treats during the day, that sort of thing. Be SURE when you come home to dedicate a full hour of one-on-one with your Bengal. During the day have poles, and hide toys or food. Some people use treat balls the cat needs to "solve" during the day.

  • @UkeeandKoru I didnt think about that.

I wouldnt have thought I would have suited one since Im away and come home during lunch time, just really like the idea of a Bengal, I think their lovely.

I would really love one, I just love cats I think their the best pets!

  • They seem to be very kind cats. And they are so beautiful. You're so lucky to have them! God created cats to give men a chance to caress a tiger.

  • @inespc2004 Actually house cats were known to be first domesticated around 10,000 years ago. Usually hunting around human settlements due to mice and food scraps, and then were later taken in by Egyptians about 3,600 years ago as pets. Human's have made these cats the way they are now. Man created house cats.

  • @Shmucko12 Yes, and Eyptians were intelligent... they had a goddess named Bastet, who was represented by a cat or by a woman with a cat head. She was home protective.

  • Beautiful cats :)

    Nice vid. 5stars

  • How/where did you get the long poles? Did you make them yourself or buy them somewhere? I've been considering bengals, and those indoor poles of yours seem to be extremely popular among your cats :)

  • Bengals are bright little buggers alright. My wee boy Albert knew exactly what happened when we neutered him and never quite forgave us.

  • great video. i was going to use a previous one of yours i saw for my playlist of "man and animals" but then i saw this one which was a little longer and more thorough in what i love to see. once again, great video!

  • Your Bengals are smart and alert; I like the way they look after each other, too.

  • whats the difference between bengals and regular cats besides appearence and size. I heard ocicats are more intelligent then regulars, is that true with bengals also. I mean arent most cats pretty intelligent, your cats behaves like a normal cat to me.

  • @chaotic1979 most cats are great. They all have differences. I read a book once that rated features 1-10. For Bengals: independence = 3 meaning they really need to be around you, intelligence = 10, athleticism = 10, health = 8, care = 3 meaning they are short hair and not much maintenance, lap cat = 1 they don't like to sit. Other cats are distinctly less active and less intelligent but better lap cats, like Persians and rag dolls. Some equally intelligent and athletic like Abyssinian.

  • @chaotic1979 check out the web site for animal planet, cats 101. They have a bunch of nice videos about many breeds citing attributes. The Bengal episode is supposed to be out this fall.

  • @chaotic1979 Bengals are part Asian leopard cat, to one degree or another. The closer to wildcat they are, the more like leopards they act: Leopards are climbers and swimmers; growl over their food. A Bengal is a domestic cat with wildcat markings, like these guys. They usually have pale green eyes. Like leopards woiuld do, they perch on the rafters and high beams in this home.

  • Oh your kitties are beautiful!! You are very lucky to have such lovely babies. Ummm is your house like totally set-up for cats? That is awesome :D

  • OMG your cats are beautiful.

I am looking into getting a couple bengals myself but have yet to find one with green eyes? bizarraly hard that is.

  • @strix101

A cat's eye color does not come in until about 2 years old. So if you are looking at kittens, the best you will see is a hint of green. And then you hope it matures to a darker green. Ukee, the larger cat's eyes are chartreuse, Koru's are more emerald. But even then, half the time the light makes their eye seem more yellow. It is a very ethereal thing. When the light is right, the green is really beautiful.

  • Beautiful cat

  • You have beautiful bengal cats. May I ask what breeder you bought them from? I'm currently looking for a bengal and I can see your cats are just gorgeous.

  • ... HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO SIT WHILE CLIPPING NAILS!??! help me :<

  • @GiantPinkMarshmallo

nail clipping depends upon a technique "repetitive approximation". You start by touching their paws, best when nearly sleeping. Best as kittens. Eventually you clip one nail a night. You are not trying to accomplish anything other than familiarizing the cat with a good experience. Always praise and some people give treats. If you force the cat it will be a battle of wills the cat usually wins. Eventually you can clip all front in one sitting. Don't bother clipping the back.

  • @UkeeandKoru thank you :D this will come in handy for the future haha

  • From the vids, it is clear you love your cats very much. They are very happy contented kitties ^_^

A question pls - if there are certain tabletops off-limites eg. kitchen table, dining table (& human food), what is the most effective way of stopping kitties from climbing. I tried hissing but I think kitty (<12 mths) just felt I was unreasonable & aggressive!!

  • @coffeenciggy training is important since kitchen counter can have a hot stove and burn paws. Mostly say, "tsst NO!" right when they are in th act. Second to that, hide a spray bottle or water gun, and get them with it without revealing you are the one spraying (like from behind your back) Otherwise kitty learns, "I am not to go on the counter, when you are around". They also make air sprayers with a motion detector. Once kitty is startled a few times, they learn.

  • @coffeenciggy

Our cats have learned well not to go on granite surfaces. Even as we have moved homes, and even though we allow them on desks and dining tables, they know clearly what a kitchen counter is distinct from the rest. They remain off it very well. All without touching the cat. Never discipline or hit your cat, that is counter productive to training. At most "Tsst, NO!", or "Ouch!". The very most is to touch your finger to their nose, a tap and "tsst NO!"

  • @coffeenciggy

kitty will look at you and say, "you are not the boss of me!" Our Koru would go right back to climbing the house plants when put down. But cats really do respond to praise. And the best training is with treats for rewards. We taught Ukee NOT to cry when sitting on the stool by quickly putting a treat for her if for one second she was quiet. After constantly crying, just days later she'd learned, Now we'll find her sitting on her stool for 20 minutes quietly hoping to be noticed.

  • If you want Love , You want a Bengal !!!!

  • @emzii92

It is cruel to let your cat outside where raccoons, coyotes and traffic shorten their life span. Bengals do need lots of enrichment activities. One of our loves the enclosed patio to hunt grasshoppers and moths, Our other does not care for the outdoors. Both would much rather be inside playing a game with me or solving puzzles, than to be outside. If one is outside and hears a game going on inside they are desperate to get in. Interaction and games is more important than spaciousness.

  • @emzii92 Bengals bear a Tabby's personality; always doing what you are doing, greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, kind, gentle. They are too energetic to sit in your lap, but they absolutely want to be with you. If kittens are well exposed to people, they learn not to fear. Our Bengals follow every repair man who come to the house, stick their nose right in the work. But since they don't like to be petted or held by strangers, they tend to stay just out of reach.

  • what a beautiful breed

  • your cast are gorgious

  • Really cute video. We also have a Bengal and they are great fun! Very special animals. Thanks for posting.

  • i know this has nothing to do with the vid but you have an absurdly nice house

  • 3:02 I get bunny kicked when I try that

  • ITS SO CUTE!!

  • even better than the kitties is your house. well done!

  • You have a beautiful home. And well cared for and loved pets. :]

  • Where can I purchase that brush you were using?

  • I just got that brush at the pet store. A good brush has fine soft wires mounted in a rubber shell so the bristles flex. I like a round shape so it is smoother against them than a square brush. Start soft with just a stroke or two on the neck. For the first month or two they just tolerated brushing. But now it is one of their favorite things.

  • i clipp my cats nails when they are asleep works just fine

  • really great video, your cats are beautiful!!!

  • a day in the life huh? you should have put the song a day in the life by the beatles XD
