@alvaritooooooooo We actually took a building that was built around 1920, and retrofit it for our specific needs. So, I guess we, or specifically the president and vice-president of the business (Todd Atlas and Doug Wessling) worked with the architect (Tim Barber) and contractors to make it what it is. If you have the opportunity to pay it a visit, you won't be disappointed! It is a very vibey, warm, and musical place. Unlike any store, anywhere. But, all our experts are available by phone!
@soundpurestudios Thanks for the response. I live in europe but I'd like to visit the store one of this days. Appart from guitar player i'm a designer and i thought that the store is very stylish, looks like a perfect blend between three worlds. I hope to get the chance to visit it soon and taste and possibly buy one of that diamons! : )
@alvaritooooooooo We really appreciate the compliment, and would love to have you stop by anytime. If we can help in any way in the meantime, please don't hesitate to e-mail us at acoustics@soundpure(dot)com, or call us, +1-919-682-5552
Right now I found a really nice OM-28v for about $2650 at a local dealer. Ive played 3 or 4 of these and this is one of the best ones ive played. On the other hand Ive tried 3 different Collings and couldn't find a single thing i didnt like about any of them! Im just not sure if there worth swinging the extra cash for? Thanks
@junoMcguff1 It's worth it in a large variety of ways, including the long-term investement and resale value of the instrument. We can probably get it to you sales-tax free, which should help, but you are talking about getting into a different stratosphere of instrument with a Collings. Give us a call to discuss if you'd like: +1-919-682-5552, or e-mail us at acoustics@soundpure(dot)com. Looking forward to helping you with this tremendous upgrade choice!
These are such nice guitars. Im right now looking to get my 1st Collings, But im stuck between the om2h and the Martin OM-28v. I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to play both of these guitars and give me some feedback and or comparisons? right now I found a really nice OM-28v for about $2650 at a local dealer.
@junoMcguff1 Absolutely... if you have a chance to compare them side-to-side as we have, the tonal-quality and build-quality will be extremely obvious. One is a very large-scale (mass) produced consumer guitar, the other is a hand-made, boutique guitar from one of the finest small shops in the industry. The comparison is an easy one to make if you have them right next to eachother- we would be willing to make that comparison possible for you, and have a couple to choose from.
@sanelkozarcanin We can not discuss pricing on youtube but please send me an email directly and I can definitely provide all the info you need. You have contacted the right place for Collings special orders! contact me here- ross@soundpure(dot)com
hey there~i am getting to buy a nice acoustic guitar~what model should i buy???i always hate to play the first bar of the acoustic guitar~my hand is damage with it...and may i ask...what 's the different with cut a way and it's not have cut a way???pls reply =)
@sohaiwai The Collings OMs are outstanding, we just got an OM2H with a cutaway and it is incredible! I would seriously consider this one if you like the sound of the guitar in this video. The cutaway allows for easier access to the upper frets, so if you tend to play all over the neck you would definitely benefit from having it! Please feel free to contact us by email at acoustics@soundpure(dot)com if you have more questions!
@COMONOJO1 I'm sorry but we simply do not have time to write out tabs for our videos...we are far too busy making videos of other great guitars! Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about this or any of our boutique acoustics, we'd love to help you find the perfect instrument!
Interesting question, what kind of strings do you guys put on your guitars? They have a bit of squeak to them which makes me say not Elixirs. They remind me of Thomastiks but they don't have the wrapping on the headstock end.
@Fichtezxc The strings on all Collings in our videos D'Addario EJ-17 (.013"-.056".). These videos were recorded right when we got the guitars in stock as all Collings come with these strings from the Collings shop. Thanks for checking out the video and let us know if you have any other questions about these amazing boutique acoustic guitars!
Sweet! I can actually hear it's quicker response, the clatiry, the 'snap' - everything is just there (and it's still a YouTube video!). Will there be more demos on Collings guitars? I'm quite curious about the SJ and you have just THE best demos out there (sound-wise).
Who did the decoration of your store? Nice playing and guitar btw
