  • Thank you, THANK YOU! :) This is the tutorial I've been looking for!

  • Thanks for elaborating..... all these idiots on here just wanna show how nice they think they are when they make vids. I appreciate you takin time to actually make a TUTORIAL..... people makin vids need to stop jocking themselves and make vids more like this. Good lookin out fam.. from "DEEBO MAC"

  • Thanks for elaborating..... all these idiots on here just wanna show how nice they think they are when they make vids. I appreciate you takin time to actually make a TUTORIAL..... people makin vids need to stop jocking themselves and make vids more like this. Good lookin out fam..

  • nice tutorial this the best one vie seen so far.i just got my mpc 2 days ago and i couldn't get some things down the way i see other ppl doing but your tutorial actually was a nice one.you gave details and explained everything you talked about.i appreciate it.most definitely will subscribe

  • i loved it thanks

  • @jspankin they need to be imported in... i got one not long ago and now im havin problems finding nice samples to use

  • @Burley118 so doesn't that mean since the tones come from somewhere else that machine itself is overrated and overpriced?

Because I saw it was like over $8,000.00US. I just wanted it because i read many hits were made using it, but if the tones all come from somewhere else the mpc1000 is dispensable and u can get the same sounds.

  • @jspankin well i dont know becuase in the first few days i had it i made a killer instrumental and it was while i was learning how to use it, i just dont think i know enough about it or how it works, but all i can tell you is that you do have to import the samples onto it yourself. I just imagine its a hell of alot better if you understand it more lol

  • yyooooo,IM SUCH AN IDIOT MAN!but i am new, just got my mpc1000,3 days ago,and was ready to send it back because i thought it sound like shit and was glitchy, why you might ask?my dumb as KNOW ur supposed to record EVERYTHING seperate(tracking)well once i got samples,i didnt so everything was clustered up,and crappy, all overdubed and sounded like junk, thanks for this vid i can now, make my beats right

  • @MPCBeatMaker hey man im wondering if u made a beat from this...Could u get it copyright??? Cause I know using online software and computer software like Mac also helps you to make beats but its THEIR Property cause they give u the sounds and all.....Does that work the same way with this?

  • thanks for the tune tip bro

  • @OGtony88 well a 1000 is cheaper and is more popular so lots of people are using it so chances are if you need help with something more people are going to be able to help you on the 1000 rather than the 2500. So i would go with the 1k there are more reasons why you should go with it than i posted but im about go take a nap sooooo.....

  • u skip how to copy n paste

  • aftert u make the beat on the mpc

u record it to the ur recording software or a 8 trak

then u a can add live bass

  • i make a beat..how would i get the beat onto my computer?

  • @Rezin603 by saving the file onto you cf (compact flash) card and exporting it to the computer via a usb card reader or you can just do it through usb buutt...

    that process is slow

  • This video was really helpfull. how are you playing novation on the pads? are you running it through ableton? or were those wav samples? is there a synth with oscilators and shit on the mpc1000?

  • Thanks a LOT

  • Just picked up an MPC 1k the other day, you helped me better understand the machine. Thanks a ton brotha!

  • @premiumBusta Hey I'm plannin on buying an MPC too. what else do u need besides the MPC itself to get started? do you just need a computer with samples on it or somethin.. how does that work. I know alot of people take samples off of vinyl. but I just need to know what I need to start off for the first time

  • @blackknight509 NICE. Basically to start off you would need a compact flash card, if it doesn't already come with one used, to put all your samples/sounds you need from your computer. Just torrent some beats online, put it on your CF, upload it to your MPC and your set. You don't need a computer to operate the machine

  • @premiumBusta Aight cool, appreciate it. Yeah I can also connect the CF to my PC to download samples with my USB SD card reader. Hope your beats are comin out good, I can't wait to start wreckin on this shit! ha.

  • Thanks. Nice Vid!

  • how do uploadthe samples?

  • every one of these tutorials starts with: "okay, so i've loaded up the samples..."

hypothetically speaking, what if someone didn't know how to do that? that would make for a pretty awful tutorial, wouldn't it?

  • @bppoupore & @bondisurfersuperhero The title says How to make a beat, not How to manage samples. I understand your point but no It wouldn't make it an awful tutorial since Managing sample on the MPC1000 is a chapter in itself.

  • @bppoupore its very simple just press mode and then program. you figure it out from there. The trick is getting your samples on to a memory card. If you have a computer and usb chord then your set. But you can sample anything vinyl, cd's....

  • @jeffreybiderpdee I know how to do it... but people who have never touched an MP before might not. I guess I just think somebody should have a real basic tutorial, to help true beginners.

  • @bppoupore Your probably right the video is called how to make a beat but i think its pretty simple so it doesnt really matter

  • how do u save ur beat after!!!!!!!!!!!?

  • if you become a member of warbeatscom you get three downloads which contains soundkits and samples

  • the drum kits come with the mpc 1000 or you have to buy them , or have them in your program that you use??

  • it comes with factory sounds, but it's not that many...

  • Hey bro great vid! I was wondering what is the time correction setting ur using on ur mpc...

  • what a fucking wack beat man...

  • thanks, it helps to decide to buy an mpc!

  • wow, i can't believe some of the lame posts here. just wanted to say your vid is one of the more helpful ones for getting me going on my mpc 1000. it explains the song building process quite well. i'll check out your web site.

    thanks again

  • what is a sample? someone plz explain

  • @Scoochiama soundphrases. cuts like a bass kick, snaredrum or short track sequence like you everytime hear in house or hip hop tracks

  • @Scoochiama . samples are sounds. it can be any sound you load up in a keyboard mpc whatever its a sound called a sample

  • is there a way to tune a program?..instead of tuning every pad individually

  • How do you save the sequence after your done and then how do you get it on to a CD?

  • yeah, exactly....I'm thinking about the mixing stage. ....tracking out your sounds separately by muting them in the mixer. Accomplishes the same thing, right? Sorry if I'm not understanding, but thanks for the replies!

  • Oh...couldn't you dod pretty much the same thing by muting pads in the mixer screen?

  • Why do folks record each set of sounds on separate tracks? I've always just put them all on the same track....

  • Because they may want to mute tracks and be free with the song. If evrything is on the same track you can't do anything with it.

  • @Onewerdy to mix your stuff you dont want to always have the same loop all the time

like from a sample+bass+drums loop you want to go todrums+bass loop passing by one bar of only bass

    they call this bridges

  • @Onewerdy some people use a diff Daw to master/mix that is why for a more polished sound

  • This beat has to much going on...Im sure this isnt his best work at least I hope not... But this is a helpful tutourial for starters.

  • Shit is dope tho You def. should me some shit tho.

  • I be doin that wit the fruity loops

  • hey ma n those three pads ya hittn that are similar r they sampled off some crime show ive heard it b4 law n order isnt it

  • nice vid, i didn't know about the note repeater before

  • sikk

  • Channelinks?

  • nice tut just wasnt feeling all those crash cymbles

  • that kick drum sounds like a wet fart

  • cant wait to get my mpc in a couple of days any good sites to help get started n learn all the basics?

  • pretty good stuff. Too bad the vid quality is bad :(

  • when i want sample a sound how do i get rid of the sound in the background to make it more clear?

  • try using the 4 band EQ (effects section) or the different kind of filters in the program section, you can cut off certain frequencies of the sample that way.

  • thats real geminitwinworld thanks bro

  • lets say i have my first beat/sound on sequence 7 how do i copy that sound to sequence 8?

  • yo pyc we apeciate you right now 4 real

thank you for taking your time seriously

    nobody's doing that!?

  • how did you get the synths on there?

    Thanks

  • nice tutorial, thx a lot

    PS> HOT BEAT!

    peace
