Hey! A deleted scene from the movie! I didn't know Jor-El conducted the "Superman" theme in the domed structure before dispatching General Zod, Ursa and Non into the Phantom Zone. LOL!
No, silly. That was John Williams from 2008 conducting his "Superman March" from the 1978 movie in a live performance by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl.
could you guys tell me what he always play at the hollywood bowl? i would so love to go in one of his concerts but unfortunately i'm outside of the u.s.a... i wish he would do some concerts outside of the u.s. someday.
Yes! Thanks for recording and upping, Bry. I was there, too! I was, honestly, really nervous as the show went further on and he hadn't played this yet. Woo! Would've loved to have heard the Love Theme, too, but... ah well, maybe next year. Wasn't that Close Encounters suite HOT?
Haha, I wasn't too worried. I've been going to his concerts at the Bowl the past three years in a row, and he's always played the Superman theme, be it in the programming in full, in the encore (which are always at least 3 songs), or at least briefly in a medley. And a couple years ago he played the entire Love Theme, which was totally awesome. Close Encounters was badass too. :) But yeah, very cool that we were both there!

I'd love to see that at least once in my life. Does he ever play outside the US?
supesfan 2 years ago
I'm not sure about international concerts, I only know that he performs in Hollywood once a year.

Heh, I never really realized how much the Hollywood Bowl looks like that weird dome thing from Krypton. :)
