yes, i know. i'm just saying that even though spiral isn't as gifted a songwriter as malkmus, he DID write a few pavement songs that can stand next to some of the best written by malkmus.

i like SS's band (preston school of industry) although i never really liked his songs in pavement. i think he's improved his singing since then.

And hey joni and a few others. Plus Lee also sang the chorus from little fury things by dinosaur jr. What about Lou? He's always been the major songwriter from Sebadoh. A band that never gets enough credit, even though they are just as good as pavement, sy, dino jr, the pixies, etc.
