  • @NicholasTLT The truth was clear to me before the incident. The locals described the dead soldiers littering the streets as, "Mostly Georgian and Russian soldiers, and a few men dressed in black with U.S. insignias."

  • @NicholasTLT Правда была для меня ясно, в течение очень долгого времени. Мне грустно, что я не могу убедить моих соотечественников в Америке.

  • Non-censorship does not mean that any news organization has to give you whatever time you want to say whatever you want. The interview was done in a predetermined time frame, just like many other interviews done not only on FOX News but on other networks as well. The fact that the interview came back to the Aunt after the break and allowed her more time to speak speaks volumes for the non-censorship that was displayed.

  • @thorrobin - You should view the Aunt's follow-up interview with a non-US-based journalist where she speaks on the threats made to her by Fox about making pro-Georgian statements. If you can't find it, I'll try to dig it up again for you.

  • @Echelon2600 - If the aunt had said the sky was blue, I would have to go outside and look before I would believe her. What I mean is she has no credibility. She had an agenda. FOX News did not give her the time she wanted to fulfill her agenda. So of course she is going to go out and spread lies about what FOX News supposedly did to her. And of course there will be anti-American organizations out there (like RT) that will allow her to spread her lies.

  • @Echelon2600 - What FOX News did give her niece and her was time to talk about the experience they went through. Even when it was clear what the aunt's agenda was, FOX News still gave her time to speak. If FOX News wanted to censor her, they would have cut her off immediately and not give her more time to speak after the break.

  • @Echelon2600 - How many other news organizations gave her time to speak before FOX News did? Did CNN, MSNBC, or the mainstream media give her time? They didn't give her time until after the so-called "censorship" on FOX News (I believe it was CNN). If I were a betting man, she wouldn't have had that time if it weren't for the so-called "censorship".

  • @Echelon2600 Show me the video I want to see it please

  • @thorrobin Exactly

  • I did not notice anything different in the girl's demeanor. It seemed to me that they did not see the interviewer (they were just listening to the interviewer), so that probably had an effect on her demeanor. Secondly, I take anything the Aunt said in the interview on Russian TV with a grain of salt. The Aunt did not get what she wanted. So that can explain the negativity towards fox.

  • It was very the Aunt had no intention of speaking about her feelings for her niece having to go through that experience (the purpose of having her there). She only wanted to voice her opinion (true or not) about the war. Also, in response to one comment, any reporter involved in real journalism would not delve into the girl's statement. She is a 12 year old girl, hardly an expert on the causes of war. Plus the interview was not about the causes of the war or who is to blame.

  • The interviewer was asking questions to the girl about her experience when SHE stopped and started talking about who was to blame. The interviewer did not stop her. When she made her statement, he then asked the next question. He then allows the aunt to speak for about 30 seconds before going to break. When they returned from break, she HAD MORE TIME to speak. How that is considered censorship is beyond belief.

  • I know this was a couple of years ago but it's nice to be able to see the actual interview and make my own opinion instead of relying on other people's biased and unreliable opinions. This interview is in no way censorship. It is very clear that the interview is to learn about the experiences of a girl in a war-torn city. It was not to debate the causes or who was to blame on the war. So this idea that FOX news censored her is completely false.

  • Its sad that TV and tv presenters control so much of information intake around the world! It is the main source of negativity and hater! Its all corrupted by government and its ideas. People are never to blame for any of this, its only government fold! I love Georgia and I have loads of friends who are georgians and I am russian and I would never fight them, because they are so close to me! I can't stand all this control of information by some uneducated, heartless and cold people!

  • Fox news is nothing less than a political organization. But I have to say that in this interview I don't see much censorship despite your claims.

  • @AudioIndi -'Censorship' here is equated with 'stifling'. The premise of this story is that Russia started the conflict in Georgia. When the young girl reveals that the Russian troops actually came in to help (@1:37) the reporter, whose alleged job it is to investigate all sides of a story, completely ignored the girl and diverted the conversational flow.

  • @AudioIndi - Any reporter involved in real journalism at that point would have delved into the girl's statement, which was in complete contrast to the premise of the interview/report. Also notice the nervousness of the girl just before her "thank you" as she knows she's about to ruffle Fox's feathers. The lady also wanted to interject and support (@2:27)the girl's sentiments. Listen carefully, during the lady's initial statement, to the reporter's background conversation.

  • @AudioIndi - The reporter interrupts with, "I would never cut you off. Unfortunately a commercial break will take us there in 4 seconds whether we like it or not" - implying that there was no choice, although it was almost 9 seconds to the break. After the break, notice the demeanor of the girl and her aunt. Clearly something unpleasant happened during the break, likely because of the unwelcomed statements of the guests.

  • @AudioIndi - Also, immediately after the break, the reporter claims he wants to give the lady 30 seconds to complete her thought, but, oddly, after the "forced" break, the lady was clearly upset and hesitant to continue where she was before intent, giving a sarcastic "hmph" and a deep pause before continuing. Why? She knew the reported did not want the truth, but only the script. And when the lady continued with her assertion, 30 seconds turned into 22 at which point she was cut off again.

  • @AudioIndi - There is also a video available for which you may be able to find an English translation in which the girl and her aunt were interviewed back in Russia about their experience on Fox, and were allowed to say what they wanted to say in that follow-up interview with no interruption.

  • @AudioIndi - There it is told that Fox guided the girl and her aunt on what to say and warned them that they would not be allowed to speak anything outside the parameters of the premise of the report. In essence, they were there to support the reporter and not to be truly interviewed. They were not allowed so say their own truth. That is censorship.

  • @AudioIndi - Censorship does not just mean bleeping profanity and blurring inappropriate/suggestive/secretive visuals.
