@LaughingManic1980 Was at the first night of their 2 day festival @ alpine valley. Opened with "release" which rocked ! But then they played a lot of b-side stuff. They played 4 songs with Chris Cornell. which is fine if i was paying to see a Temple of The Dog reunion. I wanted Pearl Jam and only Pearl Jam ! it's their 20th anniversary tour ! It was a Major let down. Saw Stone Temple Pilots the next night in Rockford Illinois.... They Killed it !! I was surprised that STP out played PJ

@widwag i was there, i LOVED Temple of the Dog. all of the special guest added into the concert that night made it a special night,i cant believe im hearing that somebody is actually complaining about a TEMPLE OF THE DOG REUNION, a legendary band and i was happy to see something special that only happens once and a GREAT while. you do not sound like a true Pearl Jam fan and im a little dissapointed that you bought those tickets when they could have went to a true diehard fan,

@malone12345678910 Their B-side stuff is good, but what they played was a major let down. I read their set list that they played the next night...... AMAZING ! they even made everyone go on 30 minutes early so they can get out there and play longer. Rumor has it they read all the negative pub and wanted to make up for it.

It's a let down when they have chris cornell play 4 songs with them and then they cover numerous who songs. Like i said, i was there to hear Pearl Jam. Not to hear Pearl Jam cover - insert band name here- . For every person thAT said it was a great show there were 30 saying it was missing something. it wasnt a bad show, no PJ show could ever be bad, it was average at best. Night 2 was an A+ effort and set.

@widwag I can't agree with you. Pearl Jam is the one band that I am a fan of that I don't care if I hear any of their "hits". I want to hear the stuff I haven't heard before. I will say, the way it ended was a bit disappointing. They ran out of time. I don't care that I didn't "pay to see a Temple of the Dog show". The two nights were the longest they have EVER preformed in front of an audience, beyond rare. You are entitled to your opinion, but you won't find too many people agreeing.

@malone12345678910 lol, there's no convincing me ? obviously there's no convincing you, which is fine. what would you consider a die hard fan ? a fan that is so blinded by their love for a band that they can't admit when the show was sub par ? or is a die hard fan a person walking out of the ten club seats being disappointed ? die hard fans didn't love both nights, just because you did doesn't mean everyone did. and just because they didn't enjoy both nights doesn't make them any less of a fan.
