  • @lee8264 thank you, im now downloading that Worldwide Telescope version 2.8.15 and i'll visit that European Space Agency site right now. :)

  • Even if the colors are computer-generated, they're incredibly beautiful, like a fractal =)

  • LOVE IT!..::..

On 2:51 you can see it like a face that smiles like this =}...

    funny!

  • Whats the name of the first song? I'd Like to know. :)

  • 2:54 Dark matter ftw!

  • even the biggest galaxies are microscopic compared to space.

  • Fantastic Video ; )

  • SUBHANALLAH!

  • wow this looks amazing with an imac

  • how many megapixels is hubble?

  • @yourpalcliffy im pretty sure its not megapixels anymore.. lol

  • @DaBozzG23

    its 650

  • Beautiful!

  • i think the universe has to be infinite, it is just very hard for us to imagine because everything has a beginning and an end in our lives so we can't really project it, awesome video btw keep the good work :-)

  • @flopanik1 watch /watch?v=17jymDn0W6U the universe does have an "end" but it's constantly expanding...

  • Warum klaust du das Vido von WissensMagazin?

  • hi,from who ist the song?????

    please write me the name:-)))

    thank you

  • If we are in an infinite, yet closed universe, will we eventually be looking back at ourselves? From behind?

  • That makes me wonder how many life forms live out there, if any. Btw who knows names of songs?

  • music is beyond epic

  • More videos should have this kinda picture quality.

You can actually SEE what you're looking at - High Res FTW!!!!

  • Really really amazing video

  • Awesome video. Too bad some phuckbrain had to ruin it by dubbing in music that swallows sperm.

  • Mind blowing and beautiful

  • I am the hubble

  • they should start building huge space ships for the human to experience living in space.

  • its called the space station

  • Nice video. I love this stuff.

  • they should make en even better picture then the ultra deep field and look even farther into space with these upgrades :P

  • Just a compliment to tdarnell , this is youtube at it`s finest bringing quality videos that enrich our lives and imaginations. Amid all the garbage, filth and racism found on here it`s great to see something viewers can share thoughtful comments with. Thank you. Peace!

  • Hey, I'm just wondering if you can tell me WHAT the small circular openings which burst open when the thrusters engage at 0:22 ARE. What are they called and what is their use? Thanks.

  • @SiCKPiGproductions

there probaly some of those small thrusters used to manouvre in space. the sealing that bursted open was probaly to protect it from earths climate while waiting on the launch pad

  • @bigbangAT

    Cool man. Way cool.

  • WHy do i get the feeling that tese images of deep space are airbrushed versions of what they think they see with the littleblips that come in on the hubble.NoW i could be worng But It is what they actuallu photo? or is it a computer generated descriptiuon of what they think they see with all the colors from thier photo?

Is IT actually what is seen or not?

  • @brokenbrush The pictures so beautiful they look like a painting.

I sure hope they are the real deal seen by hubble.

  • most of the time hubble takes pictures in black and white and then people give a color to each element

  • this is true why the fuck do u have 4 fingers down?

  • @JASONCROW123 i have no idea, but i saw it in a documentary film about hubble

  • the music is just perfect... great job tdarnell! :D

  • Wonderful! If there's life everything's possible. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR and one day we will be as the host of heaven cannot be numbered or the sand of the sea that cannot be measured.

  • You do an awesome job with the images and the music, you bro have talent. You should start producing melodic metal bands as a side project.

  • space is a wonderful thing. I only wish they would get the kepler telescope up and running its going to be a truly great experience and im very glad that im alive to endure it

  • 1:56 Proof of God.

No jkjk but that is one COOL picture.

  • not for nothing i would love to ride in a spaceship and go as far as million of lite years away lol if that ever can b possible....

  • Only if we one day created a ship that could go 100,000x the speed of light. Then you would get there in about 10 years.

  • SUPER!

  • @Cosmored there is a mountain of evidence that you are a moron

  • im speechless..

  • awesome vid by the way! :)

  • Awesome video! I never get tired of seeing shuttle launches, they're truly a thing of beauty.

  • you sir are awesome

  • derp

  • derp my ass

  • I think you should shut up you fucking spammer, people don't come here to hear about your problems, your comment has been marked as spam, and so was your chanel, I recommend everyone here that will watch the video to do so, these kind of people make youtube a mess

  • this looks soo cool

  • WOW! this is amazing!

  • Nicely done... it really puts some context into those already amazing images.

    Thanks

  • Did I understand you to say (on one of your video's) that this was the last scheduled mission to the Hubble? Does that mean they are never going to go back and keep it tuned up? Or that they will just wait for something to break and then schedule a fixer-upper visit?

  • afaik the government doesn't want to spend any money anymore to service it and keep it in working order. 2010 will see the end of Hubble, unless they change their minds.

A sad loss to us all.

  • Yes this was the last ever mission to the Hubble since they are planning on decommisioning the shuttle program next year.

  • @MidlifeCrises The Hubble will (kind of) be replaced by the James Webb Space Telescope in 2015, but that bad boy only observes in the infrared. A true visible light successor is planned for the 2025-2035 period as the Advanced Technology Large Aperture Space Telescope (AT-LAST). It will have a much larger mirror (between 8 and 16.8 meters) vs Hubble (2.4 meters) and be several times more powerful. It will also be able to be serviced by astronauts, and will last about 20 years.

  • Really awesome! But it didn't have the omega cluster like other one! Why??

  • 2:52 on the right, what is that long stretched object?

  • I think they are two galaxies which light is curved by the presence of dark matter in that cluster of galaxies. That effect is known as "gravitational lens" There are also many others stretched objects in that same frame due to the same effect. Try to look for them.

  • the light was bend becouse of a strong gravity pull,it's a normal galaxy

  • a galaxy, the huge sort of ball of Dark matter makes its look like its stretched.

  • The answer is on the long version of this same video: 3wluv08tDhU

  • Woot 6000th view! Amazing video! 5/5

  • awesome promo

  • Do I have the words? No. Do I have the comprehension? No. But I just absolutly love this. Carl Sagen said it best. Thank you, Tony!

  • 5+ stars from me. Great video with music that fits it perfectly. You are amazing, kepp them coming.

  • Awesome job as usual..

  • Great vid cheers+++++

  • Coooooooool

  • Wow dude! Awesome video. Years ago you inspired an interest in astronomy for me. All that I can say is thanks and keep 'em comin!

  • Thank you, TDarnell and Hector! An image-merge artifact didn't occur to me at all and it's so obvious. And thank you for the video, it's incredible... and the soundtrack is beyond cool!

  • thumbs up!

  • Tony Darnell + High Def + improving editing skills = Pure joy to behold!

It would be silly of them to pass up on another shot at a deep field, they'll do it, it needs to happen, and you'll share it with the world!

I spam your original Deep Field video everywhere.

    Cheers!

  • great video and sound.

astronomy never ceases to amaze me.

  • no

my comment is not too short

  • Cool video man. I love to watch space related programming on television and the internet. I also like to listen to radio late night. When 'After Dark' has a show about space it is always to listen to, but they all to often have 'open line' nights where George Norey (the host) talks to grandmothers with wild imaginations relating to ghost stories. Boring crap.

But if you catch them talking about space exploration and the like, it is a great way to wind down the day with a set of headphones.

  • Another cool video .. thank you Tony :) music at 1:26, pretty cool too :)

  • At 1:51 the northeast star has a little smoky "square" around it, then on the next stills it degrades into a four-petal "flower". (On a Mac, lower the first lever on the "Display calibrator assistant".) No, I don't think there is a "square" there, just thought it was curious. That is a giant puff of smoke, and it is somewhat squarish upon zoom-in. Just thought I would let you know. Great video!

  • I think it just looks like that because it's a composite of several pictures.

kind of like the way google earth works.

  • Yes hectorleon is correct, that quare is the superposed higher resolution image. it didn't complete match the one they were zooming from.

  • this is very good,i like your videos very much, thank you :)

  • I´ll never cease to be amazed at the sheer size of the universe.

  • Amazing.

  • a truly awesome video!

  • very good

  • thank you:)

  • Way to go Tony....... bravooooo !

  • Vids like this make me glad I upgraded my computer.

BTW, any plans to use Hubble for a hyper-deep field or to observe distant local objects like Pluto?

  • I'm not sure if there are plans for another Deep Field, but given how the others captured everyone's imagination, I wouldn't be surprised.

  • nic3

  • Unbelievably cool.

  • awesome

  • dude you are fuckin awesome! any chance on some vids on string theory and parallel universes?

  • Fantastic images Darnell, grazie Tami per aver condiviso questo video strepitoso ti ringrazio molto...pier

  • bye

  • you sir, are so awesome! Thank you for listening to the requests

  • We are fortunate to live in such astounding times...I feel privileged. Thanks for the upload, can't wait to see what else the Hubble discovers. Peace be with.

  • Amazing and sweet ... thnx

  • \(^o^)/ Hurray, for tdarnell!!!!

  • love the music, your voice fits well with the video, and the images are just amazing. i can learn alot from just the images. thank you Tdarnell and thank you Hubble Space Telescope

  • I have to agree with nero8289, this video is mind blowing!

  • Amazing, this just blows my mind. Thank you for makeing this videos.

  • if i could subscribe twice i would, love it thanks

  • :D Dude. U automatically win 1 million Internets with the beautiful music you've chosen :3. And that doesn't even count for the images you've chosen. Well done.

  • I have a question for Tony and all you other space fans. These images just give you an idea of the amount of stars and planets in the universe... Do you think it is possible that the number of them out there could match the number of individual sand grains on our planet, by some sheer coincidence? Its something I truly like to believe, but were just keen to hear your thoughts...

  • I don't know exactly how many grains of sand there are on Earth (need to define sand, since there are many kinds), but for the universe there's a pretty accurate rule-of-thumb that goes like this: there are roughly 100 billion galaxies in the universe, each with 100 billion stars.

That's 100 billion times 100 billion stars in the universe. Probably more than the number of sand grains on the planet earth.

I don't think it matches, but you're right, it would only be a coincidence if it did.

  • Simply amazing!

  • I'm hoping to see the Betelguese gas plume

    soon.

  • lol, you rock...Thanks

  • great work

  • amazing

  • Wow! That is so mind blowing, especially with those cluster of galaxies!

  • Amazing video.. I just have to watch it again.. and again.. and again.. and so on.. =O

  • I can't thank you enough...I've been looking up when I get home from work lately anyway, but I'm going to go out and stare at the sky for a while tonight. Thanks =)

  • The launch looks great but that zooming into the constellations part is nothing short of breathtaking. I've seen hundreds of still images like that but the perspective this animation gave, blending the different depths is just amazing.

  • Tony, if your reading this, Thank You, You make the best videos on youtube, not just for their educational content, but for their amazing quality and outstanding detail!

Very much looking forward to your next project!

    Andy.

  • I agree! Damn, every video blows my mind! Awesome stuff man. Keep it up!

  • Yes I'm reading... and you're very welcome.

Let me thank YOU for watching this channel. I'm extremely happy you're getting something out of this. I'm having a lot of fun making these videos.

They take WAY more time than they should, and I'm still learning what works and what doesn't as I go along, but if you're willing to be a guinea pig, I'll muddle along till I get it right.

Thanks again for your kind comments.

  • good vid, second song goes well with the images.

  • Amazing isnt a good apreciative word i could possibly use to express how awesome this vid is. Nice music with beautiful clear images of the universe, what other beauty could you possibly ask for.

  • Keep us looking up, Tony! Nice video. :)

  • Brilliant video :)

  • This is awesome. :D

  • Ok, now that you've made so many videos about Hubble, I expect some videos about Spitzer and Chandra. If you don't make any I will have to conclude that you're a visible light chauvinist :)

  • heh, heh...

Ok, fair enough. As fate would have it (fate? WTF?), I have one coming up that features Chandra.

But, ummm, aren't all humans are a bit partial to visible light?

  • Sweeeeeet

  • sweet

  • kool
