@blkfrhwk Yeah, I'm not offended at all. I was just joking because I'm gluten-intollerant. :) I actually agree with a lot of the morals associated with Pastafarianism, even though i don't identify as a Pastafarian. :)

And, yes, you are correct about them not believing in ostracizing non-Pastafarians. Their primary moral is the belief that everyone has the right to believe "Whatever ridiculous thing they want to believe" or something like that.

@middlekid95 you are not being rude at all. and i appreciate you continuing this dialogue. i see from your channel that you are a person of faith. i am, also, although our faiths differ. i often refer to myself as a neojudeopagan ecologist. does that make my religion a made up religion, just because there is a congregation size of 1? i truly believe that some of the experiences i have had defy scientific explanation (and i am formally trained in the sciences).

"be well" simply means may you have good health. most people do not appreciate what a gift their health is until it is taken from them. however, i love your interpretation even more. be excellent to each other, friend.

@ipodtouchguru3 i can only speculate as to what mr. brown is thinking. but i can imagine quite an interesting scene at a tea part meeting where many pirate attired teens who call themselves Pastafarians proclaim sarah palin as the incarnation of God. what would the tea party members do? throw kids out for worshipping the potential 2012 presidential candidate or let them stay and chant the names of Noodliness?

@blkfrhwk as for the fsm, the religion was founded as a direct result of the state of kansas legislating a new definition of science so that intelligent design has to be taught alongside evolution. there was quite a bit of debate, and it was eventually allowed because there is no mention of who the intelligent designer is. there was also lots of debate about what constitutes scientific proof (hence the legislation as to the definition of science).

@blkfrhwk most of the pastafarians i have met are studying one form of science or another. they seem to come in 2 flavors. those who view pastafarianism as a reminder that we should all be more tolerant of one another (recognizing that all forms of God are metaphors for a reality beyond our understanding) and those who see it as a satire on religion. I think mr. brown is in the first camp.
