  • car dancing ,amazing dance

  • boring

  • Many hidden jokes in this film, like Michael Caine getting nervous when his girlfriend is hanging around the busdriver.....

  • Mine is the 2003 version.

  • I have the game on ps2 its freaking AWESOME same storyline n they even add racing.

  • Terrible soundtrack, fabulous chase - just watch the real thing...

  • Mini's giving the Alfa's the business.

  • I swear when I pass my test, my first car is going to be a Mini...and not that BMW pile of crap that they call a mini, I want the real thing.

Oh and little known fact, the scene in the sewer pipe was filmed under Allard way, Coventry. (My street just runs off that road :D )

  • Minis are awesome!

  • lol i own a mini and when it rains heavy it misfires quite a bit cant imagine what those ones were like after driving through the river haha

  • Geek fact: The Blue Danube is used in a cut sequence from the original Italian Job. Available on the 2 disc set

  • @dcanmore thanks

  • The song just makes it seen like they are going slow

  • Just think the song goes on a little to long for my liking

  • cna someone tell me the name of the classical music?

  • @19GirlBad ... The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II, it was made popular in modern times being used for the shuttle docking sequence in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

  • The film is on tonight and i'm watching it!

  • @GTAIVFan17

    Eestlane?

  • What were the Italian Police?

  • No, the best car chase ever is when Charlton Heston sees the Statue Of Liberty, and realizes he was on Earth the whole time ...

  • well i thought these are Fiat 500 cuz most "Italians" have Fiat 500 in 1969 rather than Mini

  • @VivienForum ... They are driven by Englishmen who went over to Italy to rob mafia gold bullion, and then try to make it back over the Swiss border. Incidentally the Mini was produced in Italy too by the Innocenti car company.

  • 7:13 did they died?

  • Best car chase scene WITHOUT the music being played over and over again, over the original soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the song you've played but over and over again? And covering self preservation society? Gahhh, you've just ruined it!

  • @MrJackyboy3 gay

  • .....................????

  • I was glad the remake still used minis

  • 1:01 come back now, dont walk away from me, am talking to you, COME BACK AND CLEAN THE FLOOR!!!

  • HEY! they ripped off the Bourne Identity well bad!!

  • @Alpacajon

Not unless they had a time machine,

    like the man said.

This was made in 1969 and the Bourne BOOK was written in 1980.

The Bourne movie came far after that.

  • LOL, classic. I'm guessing those rain-sensitive Lucas distributors that were mounted right behind the front grille had to be prepped somewhat in order to drive through several inches of standing water without stalling out? Hell, the Mini had trouble driving in rainstorms sometimes. It'd suck to had your ignition system fail while on the run from the entire Italian Polizei! "Oh, time out, time out! I need to dry my points..."

  • My god... you've taken one of the greatest movie car chases and made me want to kill someone by putting the same music behind it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER! Why you have ruined it this way, I'll never know.

  • 02:26 Palazzo a Vela 03:24 Lungo Stura Lazio (northern suburbs) 03:33 Test track on the roof of the Lingotto factory 04:18 Mirafiori factory (south suburbs again) 04:33 Palazzo Esposizioni 06:27 Murazzi del Po (lot of posh clubs and discos there now) 06:53 Michelotti Dam on the River Po (near the Murazzi) 08:05 I'm told filmed in the UK 08:57 Settimo Torinese (near the Caselle Airport) and from 9:05 onward on the Torino-Aosta toll highway. Phew!

  • 0:12 Palazzo Madama (only truly cringe worthy scene of the movie) 0:23 Galleria Subalpina (I ate lunch there last week) 0:33 Piazza Vittorio 0:42 Via Roma near Piazza San Carlo 0:48 Galleria San Federico 01:07 Piazza Vittorio (again) 01:14 Piazza Carlo Felice (the pedestrian tunnel is not there anymore, there's a subway station now. The original tunnel had some of Turin best record shops) 01:37 Via Ventimiglia (south border of the city) 01:49 Piazza della Gran Madre (back in the centre)

  • best film of al time

  • Comment removed

  • 41 years :)

  • true Britt not the foreigner shit!

  • 6:17 Best part! Plus the White Mini was having fun drifting! :D Shame they don't make the old ones no more!

  • I love seeing both of those old classics driving real fast.

  • Beautiful British car. The sewage pipe pipe part was filmed in Coventry, England. So it wasn't all Turin

  • @OmnicidalClown Yeah, the 'traffic control building' which was apparently set in Turin was actually the Apex corner building in Hanworth, London. Its sadly been knocked down now :(

  • discription fail this isnt the best mini chase ever ... its the best chase the only thing that has ever come close was the top gear ford feista vs corvette though a shopping center

  • @1993gandy i am so agreeing rightt now

  • LOL italian police is so stupid

  • Comment removed

  • I'm glad there's another version of this on youtube without this boring pile-of-dick music.

  • only brirtsh cinima could make films this good

  • Time classic and old Maurice Micklewhite was ace as usual**==

  • look at 1:50 the red and blue mini's come dwon the steps really carefully but the white one jumps most of them lol great film

  • EPIC!

  • I miss my old Alfa Giulia Super.

  • @MrSwedjen You must be the only person to watch The Italian Job & talk about an Alfa.

  • @whitbyjet65 the police cars in The Italian Job were Alfa Romeo Giulias : )

  • @ravenblackthorne I know. Why did you tell me that? I didn't ask.

  • The background music spoils it

  • Undeniable the best of our British films and the 2001 “Blue Danube” LOL fits the era of this film splendidly with elegant class.

  • Funny as a hell!

  • LOL! the glass theatre

  • Try 40 years!!

  • Talk about great names for a kid (if you're lucky to find the wife that will go along with the idea) Alfa,or Mini, Spyder, Testarossa or Jag lol !

  • your only supposed to blow the bloody door off!!

  • @knightben22 It's you're, not your. Jeez!

  • i'd love another one with the original sound theme, but nice work man i love it

  • class i love his film!!!

  • mini coopers fast little cars won a lot of rallys

  • Great vid pyroartdesigns, I enjoyed that.

  • I would hope you can tell that this is not the new movie by the same name. This is the classic Italian Job movie with Michael Caine, made in the late 60's when the Minis in the film were new. Do you really think a feature film would have to resort to using clips from a TV show? Of course it was the other way around, Macguyver borrowed from the Italian Job.

  • well done retard. you fail so bad

Macgyver took the footage from the italian job. not the other way around.

this was made in 1969 so how the hell did they take the footage from an 80s show, genius? did they go to the future or something? check your facts before you comment next time

  • @joevictor53 he made a mistake chill out

  • Hey when you want to knock off a bank use British use a Mini Copper! LOL

  • @EmpireLS56KW They should use that in an advert if they ever bring back the original, non crappy, non BMW minis.

  • @joevictor53 The new mini abaonation used in Fight Club as piss take while beat it with baseball bats! LOL

  • Are you seriously THAT dumb? Jesus...

  • @hothamandfauri you got shamed.

  • @hothamandfauri LOL you fail

  • @hothamandfauri YOU ARE A FUCKING RETARD YOU FAIL HILARIOUSLY HAHAHA

And I quote "Italian job used lots of footage from Macgyver"

    idiot

  • perfect music fit i think!

  • Have u herd a Mini with a v8 in it they sound fkn mean !!!

  • Mini is a lovely car, I have a red Austin Mini Van from 1972 and it has two sisters and brothers, Sunbeam/Hillman Hunter from 1967 and 1969, a nice family

  • this is my city...Torino...

  • I wonder how many Alfas and Minis were harmed during the making of this film..

  • Yeah. And sadly the Minis were all destroyed, apparently. I will never quite recover.

    As for the Alfas. Well...

    Maybe!

    Over to someone, somewhere....

  • Not bad.

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • could real minis do all of that on real life conditions?

  • @cyberyanmar none of it was faked!

  • don't you know a classic????

    The Greatest English movie made.

Better than most American ones. They even admitted it!

  • i have never seen the scein where they are driving were the band plays

  • You can tell it's been sped up by the way some of the people are moving. Especially the scene where the come out the tunnel and the truck driver quickly moves but to his truck.

  • I love those old Minis

  • u shud hav left the original sound of the scene wtf. but this chase is awesome

  • music makes it funny

    lol :D

  • this music reminds me of A Clockwork Orange

  • has to be the best car chase ever

  • get self prezervation society back on rite now lol

  • proper driving no effects here

  • There was a deleted scene with that MUSIC.

  • the music ruins it, you plonker.

  • The fuck have you done to the music?

  • very nice clip .. but the music plays too long that turns into annoying ...

  • 5 stars

  • no its actually 40 years now.

  • I can't believe it !

Many of those scenes were used for the MacGyver episode "Thief of Budapest". o_O

  • Whoa

Which is that whale-like steeled concrete building?

  • at 02:19???

i think thats a museum in Turin

  • @Balage78Szfvar : That's the Palazzo a Vela (or Palavela), was built in 1961 for the Italian Indipendence Anniversary, in 1969 was more or less abandoned. From 1979 to 2005 was the location of Europe first (and then biggest) indoor climbing structure, it's now used for speed skating competitions (was restructured for the 2006 Olympics

  • That was brilliant mate :)

    nice one

just gotta get mine on the road now and i'll be happy :)

  • its actually 50 years now.

  • 40 years not 30 years!!!!!! anyway, its not just the best mini car chase, it is, just, THE ultimate car chase of all time!

  • amen to that

  • lol loved tat bit the guy in the white mini grabs the food and those minis are awsome thair my favorite kind off car

  • this is a brilliant video appart from the music gets annoying towards the end

    i love the mini car

  • Here, what's with the Blue Danube? What's wrong with the original soundtrack?

  • i loved the italian job ps1 game :) was quality, could go through entire buildings in towns through any route.. though i could never get past the mission where u had to get into the back of a lorry while it was moving when the polcie were chasing you.

  • Same! That was one of the last I think?

  • minis are one of the best cars to own i ahve 2 of them. i ahve a 91 mayfair and a 72 clubman.

these cars can go any were, witha few modifications :)

  • I had a '92 mayfair and another mayfair (I dont know what year) but we had to use one for spare parts but we couldn't keep the other one going so we unfortunately had to get rid of it.

  • its a shame when you have to use one as donar parts.

just been riv run 09 and im luckign into a clubman estate or van not sure but i fancy one

  • The original is 1000000000000 times better!!!!!

  • This is boring.

  • I agree. I don't know if it's the music, or not, but the title "best car chase" doesn't fit.

  • How about, best LITTLE car chase!

  • totally the wrong music,

    crap edit

  • The music ruined this clip

    why do it ?

  • lol

  • The music on this clip actaully comes from the film, part of a deleted scene.

I agree its not the best choice for this scene though.

  • I change my mind! Bullitt was the best all around car scene ever. But, this takes the cake. Bullitt, french connection etc.... this is it!!!

  • The ice rink part was not used in the original cut of the film, DVD extra??

  • I WANT A COOPER S MK 1

  • my car chase is better...

    look at oS3NOo video response

  • Shit music

  • I agree. I don't know about the negative comments you recieved. But, short of fancy hollywood story line, the original is better in every way.

  • Thankyou! Finally someone who agrees.

  • why did you get those negative comments? Anyone who loves driving would be on your side. this movie rocks! The storyline, the cars they chose, the tough masculine actors. You're the man and I haven't even looked at your profile.

  • o yh the decent film not the c**p remake

  • verry nicly done. :)

  • Please what's name the song!!! Very NICE ´=) thansk

  • its the blue danube isn't it?

  • Love mini coopers mark 1's

  • the best of the british

  • synchronized driving... my new favorite sport

  • The only reason for this music is that it was in the IJ deleted scene.

  • thats all well and good for the ice skating scene, but for the rest of the chase its just out of place

  • Murderer

  • *gasp* You cut the orginal music ?

  • Its an amazing chase, but without the original music its only so-so

  • should have kept origional music

  • yea why did you dub it over?

  • what happened to the self presevation society music? this is nothing without that song :(
