it's my understanding Skype only works on cell phones if you have wi fi connection.. not phone service only connection. As a Realtor, I want to be able to be in a vacant house and call a client and show them the kitchen (or whatever) on Skype. No wi fi connection, so it would not work. Any suggestions?

@woweq Let me look into this for you. We highly suggest using the Nokia 5800 or N97. We had to create a software package that assist with the performance of Fring in the United States. Until we created this software package Fring worked alright now it works like a charm.

Fring is the first application to bring video chat to the iPhone, but due to the lack of a front camera, youre stuck only being able to receive the video feed. Theyve also released a proper, two way application for the Nokia Symbian S60.

so eather go get this old ass phone with a new app or wait til june 2 mouth then you good cause 4 g come out with same feature but newer phone

@330city Thanks for your positivity. To correct you Fring had problems getting it to work in the States and we were able to fix the issue. Stay tuned for the new model phones we will be releasing in the next few months. Oh, and the Iphone still falls short of the 5800, just read the consumer reports.

About the Motorazr2 is capable of doing what this phone does but ithe Razor doesnt work on United States carriers till now. VUE Mobile allows the video chat to work.
