After living in Los Angeles my whole life, I didnt know there were cities actually like SB. I cant even walk my dog down the street because there are ALWAYS dozens of stray dogs. I cant go to the park because everytime I go, I see homeless people yelling to themselves. There are huge fields filled with trash, dead animals, and sometimes dead bodies. Never have I felt safe here, even with my boyfriend. I feel like I constantly have to look over my shoulder for homeless people. Such a sad city

@Danfer38 Yeah but if you're thinking of making the move, try to get as close to Cal-State as you can, it's by far the best area in town. The North end is mostly alright, but there is pockets which you might want to avoid - areas around 48th street, Sierra Way etc. It doesn't look really look shout out like the rest of the city but things do and can happen there, violence, robberies, shootings etc. Just use common sense you'll be fine.

I moved to San Bernardino a year ago, from Alhambra (LA) and this place makes Alhambra look like Beverly Hills. I really wish I had done my research before moving to this hell hole. The whole city smells like raw sewage and there is so much crime and crackheads wandering the streets. I am saving money to get out of this place and back to LA. I pray for this city to be rid of corruption and poverty.

@caponesd13 You must have your head up your ass. SB has had a large black population since the 1940's. The West side & Valley areas, where historically black for decades. The early blacks came from the southern states, Mississippi & Alabama. It was only post the 1965 Watts riots that SB received waves of black families from the LA area.

After living in Los Angeles my whole life, I didnt know there were cities actually like SB. I cant even walk my dog down the street because there are ALWAYS dozens of stray dogs. I cant go to the park because everytime I go, I see homeless people yelling to themselves. There are huge fields filled with trash, dead animals, and sometimes dead bodies. Never have I felt safe here, even with my boyfriend. I feel like I constantly have to look over my shoulder for homeless people. Such a sad city

@Danfer38 Yeah but if you're thinking of making the move, try to get as close to Cal-State as you can, it's by far the best area in town. The North end is mostly alright, but there is pockets which you might want to avoid - areas around 48th street, Sierra Way etc. It doesn't look really look shout out like the rest of the city but things do and can happen there, violence, robberies, shootings etc. Just use common sense you'll be fine.

I moved to San Bernardino a year ago, from Alhambra (LA) and this place makes Alhambra look like Beverly Hills. I really wish I had done my research before moving to this hell hole. The whole city smells like raw sewage and there is so much crime and crackheads wandering the streets. I am saving money to get out of this place and back to LA. @caponesd13 You must have your head up your ass. SB has had a large black population since the 1940's. The West side & Valley areas, where historically black for decades. The early blacks came from the southern states, Mississippi & Alabama. It was only post the 1965 Watts riots that SB received waves of black families from the LA area.

@TheLakeshow92 what the hell are you talking about? berdoo has had a large city-wide black population since the late 1960's. the east side valley area, baseline corridor, wg's and west side were all largely black areas. the west side used to be well over 40% black. now its only 25%. theres far less blacks now then there was in the past. your statement is simply incorrect & ill founded. white flight in berdoo occurred decades ago. sb was never a city dominated by whites and certainly not asians.
