  • @lilmorris656 the do ship on sundays but dont dilver

  • sweet. loved the gear up approach.

  • Good god. What an amazing pilot.

  • I was about to say "GEAR DOWN! GEAR DOWN! GEAR DOWN!!!" but I realized its a flyby.

  • -400 F ???.... Nice n quiet though :)

  • no, the planes are parked on the weekends. no deliveries on weekends unless it is Christmas.

  • does ups ship on sundays

  • "OMG ITS MY FAVORITE AIRPORT!!! WE HAVE TO SEE IT NOOOWWW!!!"

  • why the low fly by

  • isnt that the 800F

  • 0.20 "sh*t, wrong airport" lol

  • You sure that wasn't a 747-200? Sure looked like it.

  • @pilotwave its a -400, look at the winglets, and UPS retired their -200 fleet December 28th, 2008.

  • I made a delivery in a semi to Boeing and saw UPS's first new 747-400 being assembled. Couple years ago. I wonder if this is the same one. They had a big banner hanging, stating it was there 1st one.

  • Yep I wanted to add that that is my home airport, KSDF.

  • I saw one of these live when the first ordered them, MASSIVE these new ones are. "Tower UPS Heavy 114 we thought we'd just give you a buzz" "Roger Heavy 114, our floor just about broke through this time" UPS is the best career ever though, I would not work anywhere else. No cons to UPS except they do really make you work to earn your share, they had me loading 3 feeder trucks alone when I worked in that hanger, at the Worldport, yes the Worldport, less than 1 week after hire might I add.

  • @ALTChange20 How do you get those airport jobs for ups?

  • @BYOB561 You want to go to upsjobs.com and find your area, you will start off as a package handler, basically at your interview you have a choice of multiple positions as a package handler such as a pod loader which is in a hangar, and then ramp worker, which is the outdoors work with airplanes job, you will either drive the load to the airplane, pack the large pods, or pack the lose packages into an airplane. Hangar work you will either load a truck or pods. Message me if need be.

  • My dad is a pilot for UPS :)

  • sdf

  • Just wondering what kinds of alarms were going off during this fly-by?

  • @1Ocqueoc "pull up pull up"

  • sexy plane

  • what happen to the landing gear, it isn't out, or is it not time yet to bring them out?

  • it was just a demonstration fly-by, never intended to land the plane

  • @norppisi

ohh, cause its really really really close to the ground.

  • nice vid

  • love the paint job

  • Now that's a very good looking plane!

  • Where was that fly-by preformed at?

  • Louisville International

  • It's good to see my company burning fuel like that, while we are told we need to increase our production/deliveries per hour.

  • should be pulling an advertisement strip at its tail.

  • was that taking off?

  • no.....a "fly by"

  • Never heard if that Pilot got fired. I guess he had approval from the FAA etc-

    Unlike The Cathay 777 driver.

    Nice lookin' airplane-

  • Wasn't the Cahthay full of pax though, were this is just cargo.

  • Cathay was actually EMPTY.!

    So was this I'd imagine.

  • Some Cathay Pacific executives and guests were on board.

  • I've been waiting ages for my parcels from E-Bay, Now I know to select a different delivery method! :-) 5/5

  • thats a big bird!

  • it be better if the stop ordering those inferior airbus planes and go ALL boeing, preferably the 777C

  • that is a boeing!744 And the should be ordering the Mad Dog!(MD-11)

  • y in the world should they get the md when BA stop mfg them?

i realize its a 744, ive flown them and im also a loyal BA customer

u didnt know UPS has a couple of Airbutts planes

  • that plane should still be carrying passengers, not cargo they should have more md 11s

  • @gregtube111 MD 11's are used by a few chartere's airlines and major offshoots

Delta Connection (which is a charter company, IE, provides like direct-routes from rual airports to major airports) use MD's

  • Totally awesome 5 stars

  • Six Flags over Kentucky Kingdom is right there at the airport. This plane was also featured at Thunder Over Louisville yesterday, April 12th. Thunder is the largest fireworks show in North America, with the second largest airshow. UPS is one of the main sponsers. Thunder is one of the big events leading up to the Kentucky Derby.

  • thaTS alot of postcards in one plane=]

  • good ol' Louisville International Airport...my Dad works for UPS there and he said they usually get about 4 or 5 of them every day.

  • UPS'S New £1m toy!!!!!!

  • Should be around $245mil to be exact...

  • £1m??? lol

  • OK £173.22m!

  • even more expensive than that now but worth it!!

  • Yea lol im not sure but it would be about that price

  • Yeah some of you guys were right. I was the 1st officer on board. We were doing a photo pass, before delivery to Europe.

  • Yeah man sure and I'm Santa Claus...

  • My package didn't make it because the plane didn't land

  • :-)

  • I bet the insurers loved watching that

  • actually, the 747 was doing a fly-by because if it was landing, the flaps would've been down

  • o crap

i thought that was going to be a belly landing thank goodness it wasn't i think what happened was the pilot was half tired from long flight and frogot to do pre landing checklist

just in time realized the landing gear was up

  • Go back to playing M$F$ you ninny. You have no clue about aviation.

  • u dont either so shutup

  • I hope you are joking.

  • well i get it now i frogot about just making a low pass like at airshows they do that sometimes with the gear up

  • Whoo! New paint job! Looks nice! All we ever get out here at OAK for peak is the crusty brown stripes. And the Evergreen/ATLAS rentals.

  • yea yall this was takin at Louisvilles SDF i work on the ramp out there and see this baby about once a week but havnt had the chance to get my hands on it yet

  • im a supervisor on the ups phl ramp i cant wait to get my hands on this plane

  • I have a good friend who is the Ramp Manager @ DFW........he sent it to me.

  • Yeah I live in Louisville, and yes it was shot at KSDF airport. One badass plane.

  • BADASS 747! I'll bet this was shot at Louisville!

  • Does Louisville hav an amusement park near the airport?

  • yep

  • It was shot at UPS's largest airhub--Better known as Worldport-- at Louisville.
