Guitar playing from another zone. Wes was hard to believe and some 50 yrs later, he still is.
His imagination & technique will never ever be surpassed.
George Benson says "Wes played PRETTY Blues..." and that sums it up.
Who has total command of the Blues like this?

This solo is the definitive work on how to play block chord solos on the guitar! I've spent a lot of time studying it and trying to copy it.
You know what makes it even more amazing...he recorded this whole album on a guitar he borrowed from someone else!! (Kenny Burrell)
